While the dough is rising, let's make the filling. I used cottage cheese with a fat content of 9%. Pour it into a deep bowl, add salt to taste, beat in the egg and add chopped green onions. You can also use fresh dill as greens. Mix everything with a fork until smooth. The filling is ready.

When the allotted time for the dough has passed and it has increased in volume, we will begin to sculpt the pies. Knead the dough, roll it into a round sausage and divide it with a knife into 12 equal parts - you will get medium-sized pies. We put these rounds aside and sprinkle them with a little flour.

We take one piece at a time, knead it with our hands into a flat cake, not too thin (so that the filling does not leak out and break through the pie), place a tablespoon of filling in the middle and pinch the edges tightly, forming an oblong-shaped pie. We do this with all the dough.

Pour a sufficiently large amount of oil into the frying pan so that it reaches half of the pies, heat it and fry the pies in several batches on both sides until brown over medium heat.
