Homemade pita recipe

Oriental pita flatbread is a bakery product. Its peculiarity is that the dough exfoliates, forming an inner pocket. You can place any filling inside.

  • Salt – 1 tsp.

Process:

  3. Place in a warm place for 2 hours.

  5. Divide into 10 equal parts and cover with a towel.
  6. Leave for 20 minutes.
  7. Roll each part into a flat cake, 1 cm thick.
  8. Leave for a few minutes for the dough to rise a little.
  9. Heat a frying pan and place the formed cakes on it.
  10. Fry on each side for 5-7 minutes until the product turns brown.

  • Water – 200 ml
  • Salt – 1 tsp.
  • Vegetable oil – 4 tbsp. l.

It's easy to make Greek pita at home. This will take very little time.

Compound:

  • Wheat flour and water - 1 tbsp each.
  • Salt – 0.5 tsp.
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Dry yeast – 10 g
  • Olive oil – 50-60 g


Flatbread
Process:
