Homemade pita recipe
Oriental pita flatbread is a bakery product. Its peculiarity is that the dough exfoliates, forming an inner pocket. You can place any filling inside.
Compound:
- Wheat flour – 0.5 kg
- Water – 250 ml
- Dry yeast – 10 g
- Salt – 1 tsp.
- Vegetable oil - a couple of tablespoons
Process:
- Mix all ingredients and knead the dough until smooth.
- Place it in a deep container and cover with a towel.
- Place in a warm place for 2 hours.
- After the specified time has passed, knead the dough for 5 minutes.
- Divide into 10 equal parts and cover with a towel.
- Leave for 20 minutes.
- Roll each part into a flat cake, 1 cm thick.
- Leave for a few minutes for the dough to rise a little.
- Heat a frying pan and place the formed cakes on it.
- Fry on each side for 5-7 minutes until the product turns brown.

Recipe for pita bread in the oven at home
If you want to quickly and deliciously prepare flatbread, then a Turkish pita recipe in the oven is the ideal option. The dish will not be greasy, so it can be consumed by people who watch their diet.
Compound:

Pita without yeast
If you watch your diet and do not eat yeast baked goods, then a pita recipe without yeast is an ideal option. The baked goods are perfect for main courses and can be eaten on their own.
Compound:
- Wheat flour – 0.4 kg
- Water – 200 ml
- Salt – 1 tsp.
- Vegetable oil – 4 tbsp. l.
Thin
Process:
- Mix salt and flour in a deep container.
- Add oil and water. Stir until smooth. The dough should be elastic and slightly sticky.
- Cover with a towel and leave for 20 minutes in a warm place.
- Dust your work area with a little flour and roll out the flatbreads.
- Place oriental pastries on a preheated frying pan without oil. Fry on each side for 1 minute.
- Place the tortilla on a rack over the fire. Bake until bubbles form.
Greek pita: recipe
It's easy to make Greek pita at home. This will take very little time.
Compound:
- Wheat flour and water - 1 tbsp each.
- Salt – 0.5 tsp.
- Sugar – 1 tbsp. l.
- Dry yeast – 10 g
- Olive oil – 50-60 g
Flatbread
Process:
- Pour the yeast into a deep container and fill it with a small amount of warm water. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Add sugar, salt and olive oil to the yeast mixture and mix.
- Sift the flour and pour it into a deep container.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the flour and knead thoroughly.
- Leave the dough in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Divide it into equal parts and form into balls.

- Form 10 equal balls.
- Roll them into flat cakes, 1 cm thick.
- Place the product on a heated frying pan. Fry on both sides (1 minute on each side).
- Let the cake cool.
- Finely chop the tomato and chicken fillet. Fry the mixture in a frying pan until the chicken is cooked.
- Add spices and mayonnaise to the filling. Mix thoroughly.
- Place the prepared filling into the formed pocket and serve.
