    • Wash the potato tubers, peel them and boil them in salted water. Drain the liquid and grind the potatoes until pureed.
    • Advice. If it seems that the mashed potatoes are too thick, you can add a little broth.
    • Peel the onion, cut into cubes and fry in vegetable oil.

    Recipe 7. Filling for pies with potatoes in the oven, meat

    Ingredients:

    Minced pork and beef 0.5 kg

    Garlic 50 g

    Water (for stewing minced meat) 500 ml

    Potatoes, boiled (mashed)

    Preparation:

    Combine chopped garlic and onion with the prepared minced meat, add water and spices, simmer the mixture in a saucepan until tender. After this, combine it with hot mashed potatoes and beat the resulting filling for flour products into a homogeneous mass.

    • If the oven does not have a convection mode, place a tray with water in the preheated oven before baking the pies and set the temperature to 100Ϲ. The moisture will evaporate in 10 minutes, the baked goods will rise, after which you can increase the temperature to 180Ϲ and bake the pies as usual.
    • If you don’t know at what temperature you need to bake this or that product, set the baking mode to medium and let the product bake for longer, but it will not burn or remain unbaked.

    Bake the potato pies in the oven for 25 minutes at 180 degrees. Bake potato pies in an air fryer for 25 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees and medium ventilation speed. In a multicooker, bake pies with potatoes for 40 minutes in the “Baking” mode.

    Pies with potatoes without yeast in a frying pan

    Potato pies without yeast can be prepared not only in the oven, but also in a frying pan. They taste no worse than yeast ones. You can also bake potato pies with sour milk or yogurt without using yeast.

    Required Products:

    • potatoes - 600 g (6-8 pieces);
    • wheat flour - 600 g (3 cups);
    • kefir - 350 ml (1.5 cups);
    • vegetable oil - 170 ml (2/3 cup);
    • onions - 100 g (2 onions);
    • chicken egg - 1 piece;
    • granulated sugar - 20 g (3 teaspoons);
    • soda - 12 g (2 teaspoons);
    • salt, seasonings, spices.

    Preparation time: 35-40 minutes.

    Roasting time: 15-20 minutes.

    Total time: 1 hour.

    Quantity: 18-20 pies.

    How to make potato pies from yeast-free dough:

    • Boil the peeled potatoes in salted water with seasonings. Drain the broth and mash the root vegetables until pureed.
    • Fry the onion, peeled and cut into small cubes, in vegetable oil.
    • Advice. We use refined oil for frying.
    • In a separate container, mix the puree, onion, selected seasonings and leave to cool to room temperature.
    • Pour the kefir into a deep bowl and extinguish the soda in it.
    • Add egg, sugar, salt, butter and mix thoroughly.
    • Sift flour into a container and knead the dough. If the mass sticks to your hands, you can add more flour beyond the recipe.
    • Advice. Sifting the flour saturates it with oxygen, making the dough airy and pliable.
    • Cover the container with cling film or place the finished dough in a plastic bag for half an hour.
    • Divide the rested dough into small, approximately equal pieces and roll into flat cakes.
    • Distribute the filling evenly and make pies of any convenient shape.
    • Advice. It is undesirable to make sharp corners so that they do not burn.
    • Fry the pies in a frying pan in hot oil on both sides until cooked.
    • Place on a paper towel to remove excess fat, then serve.
