Banana and chocolate puff pastry recipe. Calorie, chemical composition and nutritional value.

But I didn’t realize that bananas can not only be eaten just like that, but also baked in puff pastry... until I found this wonderful recipe! Cooking takes about 10 minutes, if not in a hurry, trying to make it come out beautifully. Bake for a little less than half an hour. And you have delicious pastries ready for dinner, afternoon tea, and breakfast for your family - flaky, golden, with a delicate fruit filling!

I came across a recipe for this quick, beautiful and tasty delicacy on Tanyusha’s website Finecooking.ru. Sincere thanks to the author for the great idea!

As usual, I added something of my own to the recipe, namely frozen cherries. We got three types: banana puffs, a couple with dark chocolate, and banana-cherry ones. Each type is delicious in its own way! This time I did it with ready-made dough. You can also see how to make homemade puff pastry on my website.

Ingredients:

For 8 pieces:

  • 500 g yeast-free puff pastry;
  • 2 bananas;
  • 50 g dark chocolate;
  • 1 egg;
  • optional - a couple of dozen pitted cherries.

We also need pastry parchment, a little vegetable oil for greasing it, a regular knife and one for cutting the dough into shapes, a fork and a silicone brush.

How to bake:

Take the puff pastry out of the freezer in advance and let it rest at room temperature for half an hour. You cannot defrost it in the microwave. Let it slowly thaw on its own. In the meantime, we’ll wash the bananas - so what, since they’re in the skin, it’s more hygienic. And be sure to wash the egg with soap and dry the shell.

When the puff pastry becomes soft, roll it out lightly on a table sprinkled with flour. Roll out widthwise, in one direction.

Then cut the strip of dough into 4 equal parts.

We will make curly cuts with a knife up to half of these rectangles. You can do it in a checkerboard pattern, diagonally or straight - you will get different, but all beautiful, puff pastries!

We cut the bananas into slices 3-4 mm thick and place 5-6 slices on the entire sides of the blanks.

Now you can sprinkle with chocolate pieces...

Or add a few cherries. Frozen ones should be thawed in advance so that the juice drains from them.

Take an egg and separate the yolk from the white. Dipping a brush into the egg white, lightly grease the edges of the pieces and cover the part of the puff pastry with the filling with the top, curly side. Thanks to the protein, the edges stick together better.

And then we’ll go around the edges with a fork, as in the recipe for strawberry pies: it will turn out both stronger (the cherry juice won’t run off) and more beautiful!

It's time to turn on the oven, let it warm up to 220C.

Place the formed puff pastries on a baking sheet lined with oiled parchment.

And using a brush, brush with beaten yolk. If the yolk is thick and difficult to lubricate, you can add a little lek or milk to it, from half a teaspoon.

Place the baking sheet with the puff pastries in the oven and bake at 220-230C on medium level for 25-30 minutes. It should be remembered that baking time is individual for each oven, so look at the appearance of the puff pastries. Don’t worry that it’s so hot in the oven, the puff pastry just needs a high baking temperature so that it exfoliates well and turns out golden. If you, like me, have a lower heat in the oven, you can move the baking sheet higher when it’s ready, and place a heat-resistant dish with water on the bottom of the oven. Then the bottom crust does not burn, but the top crust turns brown, and the baked goods turn out beautiful and soft.

Transfer the finished puff pastries to a plate and wait until they cool slightly.

Let's treat ourselves to delicious, aromatic, tender banana puffs!

Brew a cup of tea and enjoy!

As a rule, baked goods with banana filling are liked not only by children, but also by adult gourmets. Yes, please note that the recipe uses ready-made puff pastry without yeast.

Recipe 1: Banana fingers in puff pastry

So, we prepare all the ingredients necessary for the recipe. Defrost puff pastry without yeast. As a rule, this process does not take much time. Bananas should not be taken too overripe, otherwise they will be difficult to cut. Don’t forget to also prepare some flour to sprinkle it on the work surface of the table where we will “create.”

To prepare the banana filling, peel the fruit. First cut in half. And then we cut each half lengthwise into four parts.

Cut the layer of puff pastry without yeast into six equal parts.

Roll out each part a little to make a rectangle.

Place one elongated banana slice on each piece of dough.

Sprinkle a little granulated sugar on top of the banana.

Cover the banana slice on both sides (these are the smaller sides).

And press down with a fork.

Then we connect the remaining sides and press them down thoroughly with a fork so that during the frying process in the pan the seam of the mini-pie does not come apart.

Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan, in which we will fry our mini pies with sweet banana filling. By the way, you should fry on three sides, and not on two, like regular pies.

When the banana pies have cooled, you can serve them.

Recipe 3: Puff pastry roll with chocolate and banana filling

To make them more tasty, we will make the filling from banana and cocoa. They are made very quickly, it doesn’t take much time to prepare them.

puff pastry - 2 sheets bananas - 2 pieces cocoa - 1 tablespoon sugar - 60 grams butter - 1 tablespoon starch - 1 tablespoon

powdered sugar - 1 tablespoon

First, defrost the puff pastry. While the dough is defrosting, prepare the filling for the puff pastry rolls. Cut a banana into a cup, add cocoa, sugar and a spoonful of vegetable oil, and use a blender to mix into a homogeneous mass.

Place a spoonful of starch into the prepared filling. While the dough is defrosting, turn on the oven at 180ºC. Place the dough on the table and make diagonal cuts on both sides, leaving the rectangular middle untouched. Place the filling in the middle part.

Fold the edges on both sides and then weave a braid, bending the edges alternately into the middle, placing one strip of dough on top of the other. I cut one layer of dough into four pieces. It turned out to be four small braids. The other remained intact, a large braid came out of it. Yes, I want to warn you, there is still enough filling left for one large braid.

Place the braided puff pastry rolls on a baking sheet lined with paper. Don't forget to brush them with beaten egg. Place in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes. Sprinkle the finished puff pastries with powdered sugar. Cool and serve with tea.

Recipe 4: Banana Filled Puff Pastry

  • Puff pastry – 500 grams
  • Bananas - 2-3 pieces

The dough is sold frozen, so we open the package and, if you have the dough in one layer, unroll it as it defrosts. If there are several rectangular sheets in the package, simply lay them out one at a time on the table.

Peel the bananas and cut into slices. Can also be cut into strips. The shape of the cut depends on what shape you want to make the puff pastries.

Cut the dough into squares. I usually get 12 of them. Place the sliced bananas on one half of the square.

Cover the filling with the second half of the dough and carefully pinch the edges of the puff pastry.

Place the puff pastries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the preheated oven.

The puff pastries are baked at a temperature of 200 degrees for about 20 minutes until they have such a beautiful and ruddy color.

Recipe 5: Puff pastry banana pies

For puff pastry, it is better to use a “drier” filling, otherwise the moisture will be transferred to the dough, and it will taste like it’s not baked. Grease the baking sheet with a minimum amount of oil, and it is better to use parchment paper for baking.

If you generously grease a baking sheet with oil, the puff pastries will absorb a lot of oil and the taste will deteriorate a little. . I added very little sugar, about 1/3 teaspoon for each puff pastry.

Or you can exclude it altogether, it will turn out no less tasty, but you will save yourself from additional calories.

  • Ready-made puff pastry (without yeast) – 400 g
  • Banana – 4 pcs
  • Sugar, butter or vegetable oil, enough to grease the pan

First, we need to take the dough out of the freezer and defrost it at room temperature.

I had two layers of dough in the package, I cut each layer into 6 pieces. I rolled it out thinly.

Cut bananas into slices. And on each rolled out layer of dough we place our filling, sprinkle lightly with sugar. Immediately make small cuts at the top of the puff pastry, this will allow steam to escape and the baked goods will not lose their shape.

Then he covers it with the other half of the dough and presses the edges of the puff pastry with a fork, this will hold them together better and also give a beautiful look.

We place our puff pastries on a greased baking sheet and place them in an oven preheated to 200C for about 30 minutes. First of all, you are guided by yours. Every housewife knows her oven and it will quite possibly take you much less time to cook.

Bake until golden brown.

  • Puff pastry 450 g

Place pieces of bananas on the rectangles of dough - a piece of banana for each piece of dough. Lightly sprinkle with sugar.

Close the smaller sides first, pressing down with a fork.

Then we connect the large sides, also carefully pressing the edges with a fork so that the seams do not separate during the frying process. These are the sticks you get.

Puff pastry with cottage cheese and banana

  • 1 yolk;
  • 180 g cottage cheese;
  • 480 g puff pastry;
  • 90 g sugar;
  • 40 g raisins;
  • 1 banana;
  • 1 egg.

Cooking time: 40 min.

Calories: 289.

Baking principle:

  1. The defrosted dough must be divided into equal squares, and then each of them should be rolled out a little;
  2. Place cottage cheese, sugar, one egg and peeled banana into a blender. Beat everything into a homogeneous mass. Instead of a blender, you can simply grind the cottage cheese and banana through a sieve, then add the egg and sugar and mix everything vigorously so that the grains dissolve and there are no whole pieces of fruit;
  3. Soak the raisins for ten minutes in warm water and then stir into the banana-curd mixture. This item can be skipped if there are no raisins;
  4. Place a spoon or two of filling in the center of each square. And then fasten all four corners in the center above the filling to make a real analogue of an envelope;
  5. Grease each envelope or house with yolk and place on a baking sheet;
  6. Place in the oven and bake for at least ten minutes, but no more than twenty. The temperature is enough 180 Celsius.
