Let's prepare a simple and quick grandma's recipe. As a child, I watched how sedately, without fuss and at the same time quickly she made a very tasty dessert for tea with sweet crumbs. Later I learned that this crumb is called streusel. We will prepare it too, it’s not difficult at all.

We will need:

  • 1 kg sour green apples (pure weight)
  • 120 g premium wheat flour
  • 1/2 tbsp. kefir fat content 2.5%
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 chicken eggs
  • 100-120 g granulated sugar
  • lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. l. ground orange zest
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tbsp. l. vanilla sugar
  • 0.5 tsp. poppy (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp. cinnamon
  • salt to taste

Step-by-step preparation:

Step 1. Peel the apples, cut out the core and cut into slices 2-3 mm thick. To avoid darkening, generously sprinkle with lemon juice and rum (optional).

Step 2. In a work bowl, combine sugar with soft butter, grind until smooth, so that the mass turns white.
