Salad with pear and cheese: feta, blue cheese, goat, Gorgonzola, Roquefort

If you're looking for a new taste experience, try this pear and cheese salad topped with walnuts. A heap of fresh lettuce leaves gives the salad lightness, and the sweet and sour mustard-honey-lemon dressing not only combines all the ingredients into a single whole, but also gives the salad an absolutely delicious taste. The combination of pears and soft cheese is a culinary classic. Most often you can find recipes for salads with pears and brie or gorgonzola cheese. I've already tried these and wanted something new. At the cheese counter I liked the savory soft cheese with nuts and dried apricots. The cheese is not cheap, but I was able to buy 100 grams :)

Ingredients:

for 4 servings

  • 4 pears,
  • 2 handfuls of walnuts,
  • 1 small onion
  • 100 g soft cheese with nuts,
  • 2 bunches of lettuce

Refueling:

  • 4 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil (ideally, take walnut oil, but if you couldn’t buy it or you don’t have money for it, but it costs a lot, then you can take regular, odorless oil),
  • 1.5 teaspoons honey,
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (I use German hot Dijon mustard)
  • 1.5 tbsp. spoons of lemon juice,
  • a pinch of salt.

Preparing a salad with pears and cheese

First, roast the walnuts in a dry frying pan. I usually buy peeled, so I wash them well and fry them until they are dry and golden brown.

For this salad with pears and cheese, of course, you can simply chop everything up and mix it, but if you want to decorate your holiday table with it, I’ll show you how to beautifully lay out the ingredients so that the salad looks as advantageous as possible.

So, ideally, take an oblong plate, but a round, square, or even triangular one will do just fine. We take washed and dried lettuce leaves and make a row of them.

First we cut the pears in half, cut out the seed pod (it can be easily removed from pears) and then make these thin long slices. We put a few on our lettuce leaves.

We don’t cut the walnuts, but simply break them into quarters and also place a few of them between the pears. Soft cheese must be cut with a sharp knife so that it does not smear. We don’t make it too small. I got bars measuring one and a half by half centimeters. And we put three pieces between the pears.

We cut the onion into half rings and lay out just a little bit, literally three or four half rings. We try to distribute evenly.

Using the same principle, we lay out the next row. First lettuce leaves and then all the other ingredients on them.

I got three rows.

Now let's prepare the sauce. It is very simple and does not require any special skills. The sequence is as follows: mix mustard with honey and salt in a cup, add vegetable oil and then dilute with lemon juice. The result is a delicious-smelling suspension.

Don't pour it on the salad right away. Scoop up a spoonful and spread a little at a time over the surface of the salad, moving from one edge to the other.

I hope you enjoy the salad as much as we did.

Bon appetit!

Cheese and nut salad with pear

The first salad recipe will be an excellent “lifesaver” for you - it has an exceptionally delicate, piquant and refined taste, and at the same time it is quite quick and easy to prepare. With its help, you can truly surprise both guests and household members. To prepare a salad with pear and Dor Blue cheese, as you can understand, you will need not the most “standard” ingredients. But if you are an inveterate gourmet, you probably have them in your refrigerator and cellar.

You will need:

  1. Pear – 2 large pieces;
  2. White bread - 50 grams (you should cut it into small cubes, approximately the same way as it is served at Caesar);
  3. Egg yolk – 1 piece;
  4. Blue cheese (Dor Blue is the best choice) – 150 grams;
  5. Walnuts – 40 grams;
  6. Thick fat or medium fat sour cream;
  7. Extra virgin olive oil;
  8. Butter.

Cooking instructions:

  • Grind olive oil with 1 tbsp. cheese, then add chopped bread cubes to the resulting mass;
  • Place the resulting mixture in the oven and heat for ten minutes at 180 degrees Celsius;
  • Cut the pear - remove the core, cut off the peel;
  • Cut the specified amount of fruit into small cubes;
  • Fry the crushed nuts in a dry frying pan, making sure that they do not burn;
  • Fry the pear pulp as well, but in a small amount of butter, and not in a dry bowl. The pear should darken a little, become honey-like, and acquire a characteristic golden hue;
  • Crumble the egg yolk into the remaining cheese and add 1.5-2 tablespoons of full-fat sour cream. Place the container with the resulting mass on low heat and gently heat until the product softens and “seizes” a little;
  • Place lettuce leaves on a serving plate (or salad bowl, depending on how you plan to serve the dish). Sprinkle nuts and croutons onto their surface, then place the pear pulp and pour the cheese and sour cream sauce on top.

Preparing a salad with pear, cheese and walnuts may take some time, but it's worth the effort. Don't take our word for it - see it in practice!

Instead of olive oil in this recipe, you can use regular vegetable oil (sunflower), but we do not recommend that you do this. If you do use sunflower oil, use only refined oil to avoid the heavy smell and characteristic bitterness.

Warm salad with pear

A warm salad is an excellent nutritious dish that can easily replace a full meal of hot food. To prepare it, you will need to put in some effort, since the products here will have to be heat treated.

Preparing a warm salad with chicken liver and pear, however, can be a very exciting process for you.

You will need:

  1. Chicken liver – 300 grams;
  2. Lettuce leaves – 400 grams;
  3. Large green grapes;
  4. Pear – one is hard and quite large;
  5. Pine nuts – 1 tbsp;
  6. Vegetable oil (preferably olive) – 2 tbsp.

Cooking instructions:

  • Wash and dry the chicken liver, remove fat and other inclusions from it, cut into fairly small pieces, preferably strips;
  • Peel the pear and remove the core, then cut the pulp into small bars;
  • Also wash ten grapes and cut them in half, then remove the seeds from them, if any;
  • Wash the lettuce leaves and dry them naturally;
  • Proceed as follows with the main ingredients. First, heat a frying pan with oil, then add the liver into it. Fry on both sides for three minutes. After the offal becomes soft, add the pear to it and simmer for another couple of minutes. Then add the pine nuts and grapes to the pan and simmer for another two or three minutes;
  • Meanwhile, place a lettuce leaf in a salad bowl or serving plate;
  • Stir the mixture obtained in the frying pan, add a little salt and place on a dish. You can add natural dried herbs or a mixture of peppers;
  • Serve the salad only warm or hot.

You can serve this dish with any side dish, or without it at all.
