Tartlets with canned tuna and tomatoes

Today we will prepare fish snacks. Don’t think that only sliced red fish can be served on the holiday table. You can make quite inexpensive tartlets with canned fish. For example, tartlets with saury or any other canned fish.

Tuna tartlets consist of a basket + filling. The first part can be bought at the store or baked at home. Let's choose the second option.

You will need:

  • butter-50g;
  • sour cream-50g
  • soda chips;
  • vinegar, for extinguishing soda;
  • chips of salt;
  • wheat flour 0.4 kg.

Cooking time: 30 minutes.

Number of servings: 12.

Recipe

We need to prepare an elastic, tough dough. To do this, you need to combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan in a special sequence.

1 step. Sift the flour into a deep plate.

Step 2. We extinguish the soda with vinegar in a cup. Pour into flour. Mix.

Step 3. Melt the butter at room temperature.

Tip: For a budget option, replace it with margarine.

Place in a deep blender bowl. Add butter. Beat until smooth.

Step 4 Gradually stir in flour. When the mixer can no longer cope, we move on to manual mixing. Place the dough wrapped in cling film in the refrigerator. Leave for 30-60 minutes.

Step 5 Heat the oven at 180 degrees .

Step 6 Divide the dough into 12 pieces. Place each one in a muffin tin. If necessary, grease with butter/sunflower oil. Use your fingers to stretch along the edges.

Tip: when baking, the dough will rise due to the soda in the composition. To prevent this, add dry peas/beans.

Step 7 Place the baskets on a baking sheet. Bake for 13 minutes . Remove from the oven and cool the tartlets covered with a towel.

Let's move on to preparing the filling.

Recipe for Tuna Salad in Tartlets:

Drain the tuna.

Finely chop or grate the eggs.

Cut the cucumbers into small cubes.

Finely chop the onion. I used red sweet onions; if you use hot onions, I recommend scalding them with boiling water first to remove excess bitterness.

Grate the cheese on a fine grater. I used Belebeyevsky “Bashkir honey”.

Mix chopped ingredients (eggs, onions, cucumbers, tuna), except cheese. Season with mayonnaise (I forgot to take a photo of this step). Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom of the tartlet (this way the tartlets will not get wet and remain crispy), fill with the prepared salad.

Sprinkle cheese on top of tartlets. Cut the olives in half. Form a loop from the dill stem. Decorate the tartlets.
