Tartlets with chicken liver

The recipe for making chicken liver tartlets is quite simple. This homemade pate can be served not only in shortbread tartlets, but also made from pita bread, for example. It's tasty, beautiful and inexpensive.

Ingredients:

  • Liver – 500 grams
  • Butter - 100-120 grams
  • Carrots – 1 piece
  • Onion - 1-2 pieces
  • Salt - 1 pinch
  • Pepper - 1 pinch
  • Greens – 1 pinch

Cooking method:

  1. First you need to prepare the liver. It needs to be washed thoroughly, cleaned of veins and films. If desired, you can add milk and leave for 20-30 minutes. There are two options for making chicken liver tartlets. The first is to simmer the liver, the second is to add cold water and boil until tender.
  2. Since chicken liver is quite soft, 15 minutes after boiling is enough for it to be completely cooked. Then the water must be drained, and the liver should be dried and cooled slightly.
  3. Place butter in a frying pan and melt slightly. Meanwhile, peel the onion and cut into cubes. Place in a frying pan and fry until transparent.
  4. Wash the carrots, peel and grate. Since the vegetables will be whipped, you can not chop them too much, but cut them into fairly large pieces (this will only increase the cooking time).
  5. When the vegetables are properly fried, they can be combined with the liver. Then you can pass everything through a meat grinder or beat with a blender.
  6. Season the finished pate with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for 2-3 hours to allow the pate to harden properly. Homemade chicken liver tartlets can be served with a slice of tomato and egg, garnished with fresh herbs.

Find a recipe on the Internet, there are many of them.

Compound:

  • a can of canned cod liver;

Recipe for red fish tartlets filled with salmon and cream cheese

Kitchen appliances and equipment: knife, cutting board, bowl, plate, spatula, frying pan.

Ingredients

Puff pastry tartlets24 pcs.
Lightly salted salmon500 g
Cream cheese100 g
Red bell pepper1/3 pcs.
Greens (dried or fresh)taste
Olive oil20 ml

Tips for choosing ingredients

You can buy ready-made puff pastry or shortcrust pastry baskets or bake them yourself. When purchasing, pay attention to the shelf life - if the tartlets have been baked for a long time, they may be hard and not crispy. This will greatly ruin the taste of the dish. It is also not advisable to buy baskets that are too soft - they can break even before serving, during filling.

Step-by-step preparation

  1. Cut a third of the red bell pepper into small cubes.
  2. Fry it in a small amount of olive oil for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the peppers to a plate and leave to cool.
  4. Lightly salted salmon (500 g) cut into thin strips.
  5. Place 100 grams of cream cheese in a bowl, add cooled pepper and herbs to taste and mix the mixture thoroughly.
  6. Let's start filling the tartlets. When adding the filling, leave a small indentation.
  7. We roll each strip of salmon along its entire width.
  8. You should get a “rose” of fish. We insert it into the tartlet and open it a little.
  9. We do the same actions with the rest of the tartlets. Just a couple of minutes - and the original appetizer for the festive table is ready!
