To prepare the drink, you can use sparkling mineral water. This will make it look like a store-bought product. However, you should not completely replace drinking water with soda; it is advisable to add them in a 1:1 ratio or simply pour a little mineral water into a glass immediately before drinking.

Another interesting option is to prepare a tea-based drink. Instead of water, ginger and lemon are added to brewed tea, preferably black. This way you can get an interesting color and a specific taste.

Homemade lemonade with ginger


There is nothing complicated about how to make ginger lemonade. For 3 liters of drink you will need:

  • 200 g ginger root;
  • 2 lemons;
  • 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 4 tbsp. l. honey

As you can see, both honey and sugar are used in this recipe. This makes the drink sweeter and less cloying. If you wish, you can put just one thing.

Step-by-step preparation:

  1. Using a knife, cut off the dark top layer of skin from the root and grate it on a fine grater.

  2. Pour a liter of water into a large saucepan and add the grated root.

  3. Place a kettle with 2 liters of water on the adjacent burner. Cool the boiled water.

  4. While the water is boiling, wash the lemons and use a grater to remove the zest from them.

  5. Squeeze juice from the remaining citrus pulp.

  6. Add the lemon zest to the ginger and bring the water to a boil.
  7. Add sugar and, stirring, let it dissolve.
  8. Remove the boiled mixture from the heat and strain.
  9. Allow the drink to cool almost to room temperature and add lemon juice and chilled water. Put honey. The lemonade is ready.

Option 5: Warming ginger lemonade at home

This alcoholic lemonade with spices will decorate the table during any holiday.
Rum is added just before serving, so you can prepare a separate non-alcoholic version for children. Ingredients :

  • Apple juice - 3 l;
  • Honey - 50 g;
  • Water - 2 l;
  • Ginger root - 8 cm;
  • Cinnamon stick;
  • Dark rum - .5 l;
  • 12 lemons.

Step by step recipe

Step 1:

Pour the apple juice into a deep heat-resistant bowl. Dilute it with purified water at room temperature.

Step 2:

Place the pan with the diluted juice on the fire. Bring the mixture to a boil at maximum heat on the stove.

Step 3:

Cut the ginger into thin slices. You don't have to peel it, just rinse it thoroughly. Place the ginger pieces in a saucepan and add the cinnamon stick.

Step 4:

When the future lemonade boils, you need to reduce the temperature to a minimum. Let the ingredients cook in the juice for another quarter of an hour.

Step 5:

Remove the vessel from the heat. If you want a very spicy drink, you can leave the ginger in the apple juice for another day. Or you can immediately proceed to the next step.

Step 6:

Cut each lemon in half. Squeeze the juice out of them by hand or using a juicer.

Step 7:

Add lemon juice to the pan and bring the liquid to a boil. Strain it through a sieve and leave it at room temperature for a while.

Step 8:

Season hot lemonade with honey. Pour it into glasses, add 25 ml of dark rum to each of them.

You can add other spices to the drink besides cinnamon. For example, lemonade with cloves, anise seeds and vanilla extract is delicious. You can also use store-bought apple juice, but it’s better to squeeze it yourself.

Tonic drink with mint


To make a refreshing lemonade, peel a small piece of ginger (about 4-5 cm long) and chop it finely.

For lemonade, you should choose fresh ginger with juicy pulp. If the root has been sitting for a long time, it can give the drink excessive bitterness.

Place the chopped root in a saucepan, add mint (to taste) and pour 1 tbsp. water. Bring to a boil, boil for 2 minutes and let cool to 40 degrees. Strain.

Squeeze the juice from one lemon and pour it into a separate container, or maybe into a tall jug, in which lemonade with ginger and lemon will be mixed. Add to it:

  • ginger-mint infusion;
  • juice squeezed from lemon;
  • honey to taste.

Lemon-ginger lemonade recipe:

Wash the lemon, cut into pieces, remove the seeds.

Peel the ginger and cut into pieces.

Place ginger and lemon in a blender and puree.

Place the mixture in a jug or jar.

Fill with water and leave for an hour.

Then strain the lemonade, add honey or sugar to taste and stir. I add a little, we like it sour. Cool. Or you can add ice to the lemonade and serve!

Ginger lemonade: recipe. The simplicity of the previously known cocktail consists of just a piece of the ginger plant, lemon, honey and water. But you need to pay special attention to the quality of water, since bad water is a bad drink in the end.

To make ginger lemonade (liter), prepare a piece of ginger root (about the size of an apricot). After peeling the ginger, simply trim it with a regular knife. Pour the prepared ginger with water, put on fire, let it boil and set aside for the mixture to cool. It is also possible to brew the root in a thermos. We wait about two hours for the water to infuse with ginger aroma and taste. Once everything has cooled a little, add squeezed lemon juice (quarter). If you want a sour drink, you can add more citrus juice.

It is advisable to add honey after cooling. This will preserve the beneficial characteristics of the natural sweetener. It is better not to overdo it with honey, which will increase the benefits of the drink significantly.

The positive side of this lemonade is that it is rich in a variety of combinations. First, you can prepare concentrated homemade lemonade or infusion, and later add still water or store-bought soda. You can give lemonade a rich color by adding a pinch of turmeric or saffron. Ice, a sprig of mint and a slice of lemon will add a special charm to the cocktail and will become an incomparable option for treating guests.

By the way, the fat-burning properties of ginger will help reduce your appetite. But soda has absolutely no benefit for losing weight, so use clean water.

Quick lemonade based on ginger syrup

If you have made lemonade using store-bought syrup, you will definitely like this recipe. The only difference is that you will need to prepare the syrup yourself in advance, but then preparing the drink will take literally 5 minutes.

What do you need for syrup?

  • water 250 ml;
  • ginger 250 g;
  • sugar 200 g;
  • lemon 1 slice.

What do you need for lemonade?

  • syrup to taste;
  • lemon 1 pc.;
  • water 500 ml.

What to do?

  • Let's start by preparing the syrup, since it is the basis for this recipe. It is better to prepare the ginger in advance so as not to miss the moment when it needs to be added to the syrup. We recommend grating it: this will release more juice, without the need to peel the root.
  • Mix sugar with cold water and place on medium heat. We wait for the sugar to completely dissolve and, as soon as the syrup begins to boil, reduce the heat to minimum.
  • Add grated ginger to the syrup and cook the mixture for about 20 minutes.
  • Now the syrup needs to be filtered and cooled. This preparation will be enough for about a week and a half of daily preparation of lemonade: this is exactly how long the syrup will be stored if you do not close it in sterile jars.
  • Now you need to squeeze the juice of one lemon into clean water. What makes this recipe convenient is that you can immediately pour the water into glasses and squeeze the juice directly into them. Don't forget the little microwave and rolling trick to increase the amount of juice you squeeze out.
  • All that remains is to pour the syrup into glasses, add ice and serve!

The syrup can be stored for months if you seal it in sterilized, airtight jars like pickles.

Ginger lemonade for weight loss - weight control

Even the ancient Greeks noticed that ginger promotes digestion, and this property has been used for centuries for weight control and as a way to lose weight. Homemade ginger lemonade for weight loss is easy to make and requires a minimum amount of ingredients:
