Ingredients:
- Wheat flour – 320 grams.
- Margarine for baking – 150 grams.
- Granulated sugar - 4 level tablespoons and a couple more spoons for sprinkling.
- Chicken egg - one piece.
Preparation:
1. Pour granulated sugar into a clean and dry container (it is better to use a plastic bowl, since sticky dough can always be easily separated from its walls).
3. Cut the margarine, which has been left at room temperature and has softened by this point, into small cubes. This is necessary so that the sand mixture can quickly and easily transform into the finished dough. After the margarine, pour the sifted wheat flour into a bowl.
4. Knead the soft dough. It is not allowed to stick, but at the same time, there is no need to overdo it with flour. If the dough is too sticky, of course, it is better to add a little more flour. But it’s better not to overdo it at this step, otherwise the cookies won’t turn out soft and crumbly.
5. After several minutes of kneading, when the mixture reaches a homogeneous consistency, we can say that the shortcrust pastry dough is almost ready. To complete the process, roll all the dough into one large ball and place it in a transparent bag or wrap it in cling film. Place the package with the dough in the refrigerator. Ideally, he can lie there for at least half an hour.
6. Take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide it into three or four parts. This is necessary for convenience: several small balls are much easier to roll than one large one. Roll out the balls one at a time into thin layers. The most optimal thickness of the workpiece is considered to be 4-8 millimeters.
7. Take the cookie cutters and gently press them into the layer. Separate future cookies from the rest of the dough. Knead the rest a little and roll it out again. This step is repeated until the entire mass is gone.
8. Cover the baking sheet with special paper. We don’t grease it, but immediately place the cookie dough on it. Sprinkle a little granulated sugar on top of the cookies.
9. Place the baking sheet with cookies in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake until done.
How to make sugar cookies from powdered sugar
There are a few important rules to follow when making sugar cookies. The first rule is that margarine or butter must first be softened. Secondly, the oil base is whipped with sugar until grains of this same sugar disappear, which does not always work. Therefore, experienced housewives advise either putting sugar (according to the recipe) in a coffee grinder, or immediately taking ready-made powdered sugar, which can be easily beaten into a homogeneous mass with both butter and margarine.
Ingredients:
- Powdered sugar – 200 gr.
- Chicken eggs – 1-2 pcs.
- Butter – 1 pack (200 gr.).
- Wheat flour (high grade) – 3 tbsp.
- Soda slaked with vinegar - 0.5 tsp. (can be replaced with baking powder - 1 tsp).
- Vanillin.
Cooking technology:
- Remove the butter from the refrigerator and leave for 1 hour at room temperature.
- Grind it with powdered sugar until white.
- Beat in the egg and continue grinding.
- Quench the baking soda with vinegar; it’s even better to use ready-made baking powder.
- Mix baking soda/baking powder with flour and vanilla, and then combine everything together.
- Place the resulting stiff dough in a bowl sprinkled with flour.

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

- Melt 240 g of chocolate with butter in a water bath or in the microwave.
- Add the melted chocolate to the sugar-egg mixture and mix on low speed.

- Place the remaining 150 g of chocolate pieces into the dough and mix.
