- I don't have an oven at my dacha. But when my family asks for homemade cookies, I bake (or fry) cookies for them in a frying pan. I will share one of the options for such cookies with you. These are cinnamon cookies. Since I use self-raising flour containing baking powder and salt, there is of course no need to add baking powder and salt separately to the dough. The water listed in the ingredients must be boiled and at room temperature. It is better to use fine granulated sugar for the dough. If you don’t have fine powder, then take ready-made powdered sugar or grind the sugar yourself in a coffee grinder. You can adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. Vegetable oil is needed for frying cookies. Whether you will need more or less oil for frying will depend on the frying pan.
- I'm preparing the dough. The flour must be sifted into a bowl. Add butter, cut into small pieces, to the flour. Then knead the butter and flour a little.
- Next, add fine sugar (or powder) and cinnamon to the flour and butter. And, if you do not have self-raising flour, then add baking powder and a pinch of salt. Now grind everything together. It should look like fine crumbs. You can use a food processor or mixer fitted with a dough spiral attachment.
- Break an egg into a glass (or mug, bowl, etc.) and pour in a tablespoon of water. Mix the egg and water well. There is no need to beat it vigorously, as you would for an omelette. There just needs to be uniformity.
- Pour the mixed egg and water into a bowl with flour, butter and everything else.
- Then knead the dough completely.
- Now transfer the finished dough into a plastic bag (or wrap it in cling film). And put the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Take the dough out of the refrigerator. Roll it out on a board; if necessary, dust the board with flour. We like the finished cookies to be a little crunchy, so I roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick. You can roll it out to make the dough thicker. Using any recess (special cookie cutter or shot glass), cut out cookies from the rolled out dough.
- And the last stage of preparation is to fry the cookies on both sides in a frying pan with a little vegetable oil. The cookies fry very quickly. I keep the heat on medium.
- If you use a lot of vegetable oil during frying and the cookies turn out greasy, then place them on a paper towel. I have a Teflon frying pan, I added little oil, only at the very beginning of frying. If desired, sprinkle the finished cookies with powdered sugar. I didn't do that today.

How to make Cinnamon Cookies
Beat soft butter with sugar, then add egg and honey. Beat well again.
Add cinnamon, sugar, soda and baking powder to the resulting mixture. Add flour in small portions. The amount of flour depends on how thin your honey is, the size of the egg and how soft your butter is.
As a result, you should have a soft and pliable dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough into a thin layer, approximately 0.3-0.4 mm thick. And cut out different shapes with cookie cutters. You can cut out cookies with a regular glass. And to make beautiful patterns on cookies, simply press the bottom of a crystal glass onto the dough. Usually it is made with figured carving.
Line a baking tray with baking paper and carefully place the cookies on it.
Using a brush, brush the cookies with egg white and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake cookies at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

Cooking cookies. Cinnamon Sugar Rolls are super easy to make. Grind sugar with butter (softened). Add the egg there and grind again. Sift flour with baking powder into a bowl. Mix the dough. Divide it in half and add cocoa to one part. Roll out the white dough first, then the chocolate one. Try to keep the layers the same size. We put the dark one on the white one, sprinkle it with cinnamon, roll it into a roll and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour. After this, cut into circles one centimeter thick. Bake at one hundred and eighty degrees for half an hour.
Oatmeal cookies with honey, apples and spices
How to make honey cinnamon cookies? A question that worries sweet tooths from all over the world. Fortunately, I have a sweet tooth; the procedure for baking a sweet dessert is quite simple and accessible to everyone.
Ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine the oats with the flour, sugar, coconut and seasonings. Add margarine and honey and beat on medium speed until smooth. Mix with dough and apples.
Scoop out the dough with a tablespoon and carefully place it on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then leave on a wire rack for 8-10 minutes to allow the cookies to cool. Before serving, garnish with walnut kernels and remaining chopped cinnamon.
Recipe for tea cookies
Ingredients:
- 0.5 tbsp. ground almonds
- 150 gr. butter
- 50 gr. flour
- 40 gr. Sahara
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 50 gr. brown sugar
Cooking method:
- Combine flour, ground almonds, sugar, soft butter and egg. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Divide the dough into small balls and shape them into flat cakes.
- Sprinkle cookies with sugar and cinnamon.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper and grease with oil.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet.
- Bake cookies at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Step-by-step instructions for the “Sugar Cookies” dish

Preheat the oven and place the cookies to bake at 200°C closer to the top spiral, as a hot baking sheet will brown the bottom faster.

Spices are mixed with soda (1 tsp) and flour (200 g). Separately, beat sugar (100 g) with soft butter (100 g), and then add egg and liquid honey (3 tsp). Both mixtures are combined and the finished dough is sent to the refrigerator for two hours. Then, as in the previous recipe, it is rolled out thinly and figures are cut out. Cookies are cooked at 180º for about 10 minutes. It is important not to miss the moment when it turns brown. Cookies may burn quickly.
Apple and Cinnamon Cookies
Apple cookies with spicy cinnamon and coffee are exactly what you need to start your day with. The products are soft, tender and incredibly fragrant. You can add a little more sugar, but without changing the amount of other ingredients.
Recipe components:
- cinnamon – 10 g;
- sugar or powder – 50 g;
- flour (sifted several times in advance) – 2 cups;
- apples (large) – 2 pcs.;
- baking soda – ½ tsp;
- medium-sized eggs - 2 pcs.;
- starch – 2 tsp;
- butter (soften in advance) – 100 g.
Cooking time: 1 hour.
Number of calories: 254 kcal.
How to cook:
- Beat butter with salt and sugar until fluffy;
- Next, add the eggs one by one. If you are using small-sized eggs, then feel free to increase the quantity to three;
- Sift soda, starch and flour into one deep bowl;
- Add cinnamon powder and stir;
- Combine the dry mixture of ingredients with the egg-oil mixture;
- Knead into a slightly sticky dough. If at this stage the semi-finished flour product turns out to be a bit dry, you can beat in an additional egg;
- Peel the fruits and cut into small cubes. Combine with dough;
- Grease a baking tray and place cookies using a spoon;
- Due to the presence of soda, the products will slightly increase during baking, so they must be placed further away from each other;
- Bake at 180C for a quarter of an hour.
