While writing this article, I wondered what the fastest and easiest cookie recipe I have ever made. To my surprise it turned out to be today's oatmeal cookies. They are very easy to prepare, and they bake in just about 15-20 minutes. So, join us, we will bake oatmeal cookies.

First, let's take a look at the necessary products. And as you can see, they are the simplest and cheapest. But the cookies turn out at the highest level. To be honest, the recipe for oatmeal cookies has been around for a long time, but as always, I was waiting for the right moment. And so I waited. Although the story is not a pleasant one, I still decided to tell it, but briefly.

The day passed as usual and I definitely wasn’t going to bake cookies, but my son came home from school all in tears. First of all, I started feeling my arms and legs to see if everything was intact. But it turned out that a abandoned cat in our yard was run over by a car. It’s hard to calm down your sentimental son with words, so I had to resort to the kitchen. He loves to help me in the kitchen. And so, in order to somehow distract him, I offered to bake him delicious cookies. And you know it helped. My son got distracted, we baked cookies and drank tea. But he didn’t forget about the cat, he insisted that we bury her. Well, after that he generally felt better. These are the kinds of stories that happen to us.

How my son and I baked oatmeal cookies, now I’ll tell you everything in detail and show you.

1. I often use drain in baking. margarine. Therefore, we take margarine, preferably at room temperature (soft). But I didn’t have time for this and I just put it in the microwave for a couple of seconds. But under no circumstances should you melt it. I entrusted almost the entire process of making cookies to my son. I transferred the soft margarine into whipping containers and added sugar and vanilla to it.

I handed my son a blender with a whisk attachment, or you can use a regular mixer and go ahead. While my son was whipping, I weighed the oatmeal and prepared other products. I took oatmeal like this.

As you can see, they are not very large and that suited me quite well.

Do not beat the margarine for long, about 3 minutes. Then, without removing the blender, add one egg at a time, beating the mass well after each one.

Meanwhile, I combined the bulk ingredients in a large bowl: oats, flour, salt and baking powder.

By the time Nikitka finished beating the eggs, everything was ready. I poured the dry ingredients into a common bowl with the wet ingredients and, using a spatula or spoon, brought the mixture until smooth.

But that is not all. We need walnuts for these cookies. Luckily, I already had them. So Nikitka just crushed them and we added them to the dough. You can put any nuts into the dough. But before that, it is advisable to dry them a little in the oven (while the oven is heating up and you are preparing the dough) and chop them, but not very finely. Combine the dough with chopped nuts. The consistency of the dough is not dense, one might even say watery.

The oatmeal cookie recipe is almost ready. Any dough likes to rest after kneading, so if you have time, place it in the refrigerator, at least for 30 minutes. During this time, the flakes will swell and the cookies will be even tastier. I placed our preparation in the refrigerator, but not for long. In general, as soon as we dealt with the dirty dishes, we started baking.

After cooling, the dough became a little denser, but still stuck to your hands. Therefore, to prevent the dough from sticking, I first divided it into parts (with wet hands) and lightly formed small balls, placing them on a floured table. Then she washed her hands and, with dry hands, rolled them in flour, giving them the shape of a flattened cake.

These flatbreads should be placed on a baking sheet covered with food paper. In total, I got 16 flat cakes from the kneaded dough. And the finished products weighed 650 grams. Place the pan in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After 10 minutes of baking, the aroma of oatmeal cookies is simply divine. But with a little patience, you can try oatmeal cookies. Ingredients:

  • 50 grams of water;
  • 150 grams of oat flakes;
  • 120 grams of granulated sugar;
  • 80 grams of coconut flakes;

  • 3 grams of soda;
  • 150 grams of wheat flour;
  • 130 grams of butter (if desired, can be replaced with margarine);
  • Vanillin taste;

Preparation:

1. Mix all dry bulk ingredients in one bowl - oatmeal, sugar, shavings, salt, soda, flour, vanillin and baking powder.

4. Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the pan in the oven for 20 minutes until done. Bake without convection. Hot products are very soft. But after cooling, the crust hardens. They will be crumbly and very tender inside. You can store them in a closed container for up to 10 days. But such yummy food does not last more than a day in our family.

The composition of oatmeal cookies in the traditional version includes butter, although some cooks insist on margarine. In fact, the difference in the finished products is small: baked goods made with oil are more aromatic, and do not have an obsessive smell of fat. If you use spices in the right proportions, the difference will be almost imperceptible.

  • 350 grams of wheat flour;
  • 150 grams of oatmeal;
  • 170 grams of butter;

1. Puree the banana with a blender. Add cinnamon to it and mix thoroughly.

2.Now stir in the cereal mixture. It is better to do this in several portions, stirring thoroughly after each. You can take both instant cereal and those that require cooking. There is no difference here.

3. All that remains is to add a small handful of chopped nuts, berries and raisins. You can use one or omit any of these ingredients. Decide for yourself. If the raisins are too dry, you can first soak them in boiling water and then be sure to dry them from moisture.

How to cook it correctly?

The first step is to sift the oatmeal through a regular sieve and save the resulting amount of flour. We distribute clean flakes over the surface of a baking sheet, which we place in an oven heated to a temperature of 190 degrees. Stirring occasionally, dry them until light brown and have a nutty flavor. On average, this takes no more than half an hour, and it is important to prevent the product from burning, otherwise the oatmeal cookies will taste rancid.

Grind the butter, melted at room temperature, with sugar into a uniform fluffy mass, add the zest and egg. Stir and add the nuts, previously chopped into small pieces. Then add the flour obtained from sifting the rolled oats to the mass and mix everything thoroughly until smooth and combine with oatmeal, kneading the dough. It will be quite soft, so you should leave it for twenty minutes, covering the dishes with film.

Line a baking sheet with parchment. Place lumps of dough onto it using a tablespoon, forming round cookies. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees until golden brown. When broken, such cookies will be dry and crumbly; it is very tasty to soak them in milk, which children really like. 2. Rinse the raisins thoroughly, dry them to remove any drops of liquid and puree them in a blender. If it was too dry, you can pre-soak it in boiling water for 15 minutes.

3.Combine soft butter with cinnamon, oatmeal, vanilla and pureed raisins. Mix thoroughly.

4. Completely dissolve the salt and molasses in 100 milliliters of boiling water. Add soda and mix thoroughly. Pour into the main mass.

5. Sift the flour thoroughly and pour it into the dough in parts, stirring until smooth after each addition. If it seems too tight and loose, once all the flour has been mixed in, you can add a little more water.

6.Now add granulated sugar to this mass and knead into a homogeneous dough. It will be sticky - that's how it should be. Place it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

7.Take a tablespoon of dough and roll this mixture into a ball. Cover a baking sheet with parchment. Place these balls at a distance from each other. Heat the oven to 230 degrees. Place the baking sheet there for about 15 minutes. The main thing is that the cookies do not burn. Therefore, check it frequently in the oven.

At first, these cones will spread slightly on the paper, and then become more fluffy, like regular cookies.
