Quick lazy chicken
The classic chicken recipe is quite labor-intensive, but there are options that will allow you to quickly bake a delicious pie. For the filling, we’ll take chicken meat, you can use breast, but it’s better to take thighs; the baked goods will turn out more juicy.
Test components:
- four tbsp. spoons of sour cream and mayonnaise;
- a cup of flour;
- two raw eggs;
- 0.5 tsp. soda, salt.
For filling:
- half a kilo of potatoes;
- three chicken thighs;
- spices.
Cooking method:
- For the filling, cut the potatoes into slices and the onion into half rings. Separate the meat from the chicken thighs, cut into small pieces, and season with spices.
- For the dough, mix all the ingredients until you get a creamy mass.
- We take a mold, pour out part of the base, lay out the filling in layers: first potatoes, then onions and meat. Fill with the remaining dough and put the kurnik in the oven for 45 minutes (temperature

Pancakes with chicken and mushrooms
This traditional version of pancake pie with chicken and mushrooms is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent; even the most sophisticated gourmet will praise it. The combination of the taste of mushrooms, tender chicken and pancakes is so good that you will want to cook this chicken dish not only for Maslenitsa.
Take the following for pancakes:
- half a liter of milk;
- 2 eggs category C1;
- a glass of flour;
- a couple of tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- salt;
- sugar.
Take ingredients for filling:
- half a kilo of chicken meat - breasts, legs
- half a kilo of mushrooms, better than champignons
- 250 g cheese;
- 3 eggs category C1;
- large onion;
- a couple of tomatoes;
- greenery;
- garlic;
- salt;
- spices;
- sour cream.
We bake pancakes. Lightly beat the eggs with sugar and salt, pour in milk and vegetable oil. Add flour. Mix everything, breaking up any lumps. Bake pancakes in a special frying pan. Pour the batter into the middle of the heated frying pan with a ladle, then, holding it by the handle, spread the batter over the hot surface with your hand. After a few minutes, when the bottom of the pancake is fried, carefully lift it with a spatula and turn it over to fry the other side.
Let's make the filling. Cut the meat into pieces and fry. You can fry already boiled meat. Wash and cut the mushrooms, chop the onion, mix with the mushrooms and simmer it all in a frying pan, covering the top with a lid. Boil and chop the eggs. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Chop the onion and chop the garlic. Cut the tomatoes into thin slices. Eggs with onions and garlic need to be mixed together.
Forming a pie. Place the pancake in the bottom of a large dish. Place a layer of meat on it, then lay a layer of tomatoes, sprinkling it with cheese. Cover everything with the next pancake. Then add the mushrooms. Cover with a pancake and add meat. You need to alternate layers according to your taste, as you like. Grease the top pancake with sour cream and sprinkle with cheese. Place the pie in a slightly preheated oven for a couple of minutes until the cheese melts and turns lightly pink. There is another option - put it in the cold. After a couple of hours it will be perfectly soaked.
Step-by-step preparation
- First you need to knead the pancake dough. Break 1 chicken egg into a deep container, add 1/2 tbsp. l. sugar, a pinch of salt and 150 ml of clean water. Mix thoroughly with a whisk until smooth. Next, gradually add 100 g of wheat flour. Stir until all lumps dissolve and add 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Mix again.
- Grease the frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil and heat it thoroughly. Then pour a little dough into the pan and distribute it over the entire surface. Fry the pancakes on both sides. Place the finished pancakes in a stack on a flat plate, greasing each of them with butter.
- Next, hard boil 2 chicken eggs. To do this, fill them with water, put them on the stove and, after boiling, cook for at least 8 minutes. Then cool in cold water, peel and cut into small cubes.
- You also need to boil 70 g of white rice, after washing it several times. Finely chop the greens. Mix chopped eggs and greens in one plate with boiled rice.
- Peel 1 large onion and finely chop.
- Pour the onions into a frying pan greased with vegetable oil, after heating it well. We begin to fry, stirring occasionally.
- At this time, cut the mushrooms into small cubes.
- When the onion has become transparent, add chopped mushrooms and fry until tender. Salt to taste. Transfer the prepared mushroom filling to a separate plate and leave to cool.
- Separate the boiled chicken meat from the bones and cut into small pieces.
- After this, we begin preparing the sauce. Pour 2 tsp into a dry frying pan. wheat flour and fry it a little. As soon as the flour begins to change color, pour 100 ml of cream into the pan and stir. Then add 150 ml of broth to the sauce. Mix thoroughly and add salt to taste. As soon as the sauce begins to thicken, remove from heat.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut a circle out of it along the outer edge of the pan. Transfer the dough to the bottom of the mold. Please note that there should be small edges around the edges.
- Place half of the rice filling in the first layer and carefully level it so that a small mound is formed in the center. Pour over pre-prepared sauce.
- Cover with a pancake on top and lay out half of the meat. Pour the sauce over again.
- Cover with the pancake again and spread half of the mushroom filling. Pour over the sauce.
- Then cover the mushroom filling with a pancake and repeat everything from the beginning with the remaining rice, meat and mushrooms. Cut out another circle of puff pastry.
- Carefully remove the filling from the edges to the center and cover with dough on top. Next, remove the pan and tuck the edges of the pie.
- Cut out decorations from the remaining dough.
- Scramble 1 chicken egg and grease the pie. Pierce the pie with a fork in several places.
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for about 50 minutes. Allow the finished chicken to cool, then cut into portions and serve. Bon appetit.

Test components:
- 255 ml kefir;
- pack of butter;
- 655 g flour;
- 0.5 tsp each salt and soda.
For filling:
- 366 g poultry fillet;
- four potato tubers;
- two small onions;
- 35 g butter, salt, pepper.
Cooking method:
- Pour kefir into a large bowl, add baking soda and wait five minutes. As soon as bubbles appear on the surface of the drink, throw in the salt, pour in the melted butter and add the flour. Mix until the dough is soft to the touch.
- Cover the base and set aside to cool while you prepare the filling.
- Cut the chicken and potatoes into small cubes, finely chop the onion.
- Mix the ingredients, seasoning them with salt and pepper.
- We divide the base into a larger and smaller part. Roll each part into a circle.
- We transfer the first circle (large) into the mold, make sides.
- We spread the filling so that the chicken turns out juicy, lay pieces of melted butter on top of the filling, and cover with the second circle.
