For the filling, use potatoes rich in starch - they hold their shape well and do not fall apart during cooking. For the meat component, I used pork, but you can use whatever your family likes best. The main thing is that the meat is fresh and not too fatty. When buying it on the market, pay attention to the conditions in which the products are stored. Since meat spoils quickly, a refrigerator is a must.
Step-by-step preparation
- Prepare the dough. Melt the margarine in a water bath.
- Add a pinch of salt and soda to warm margarine, pour in the milk. Mix everything.
- Add flour in several additions.
- We form a soft and elastic lump.
- Wrap the dough in cling film. Leave it at room temperature while preparing the filling.
- Let's prepare the filling. Rinse the meat under cold water and dry with a paper towel.
- Cut the fillet into small cubes.
- Finely chop the onion and add it to the meat.
- Cut the peeled potatoes into cubes.
- Finely chop fresh dill and add to the rest of the ingredients.
- Add salt, pepper and other seasonings at your discretion.
- Cut the dough into two uneven parts.
- Roll out most of it to a thickness of 3-5 mm.
- We cover a baking sheet with parchment and transfer the workpiece.
- Spread the filling onto the dough. Distribute, leaving 2 cm in a circle to form sides.
- Roll out the second piece of dough to cover the pie. We pinch the edges.
- To allow steam to escape, make a small hole in the center.
- Brush the entire pie with egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Place in the oven for 50-60 minutes. Bake at 180 degrees.
- Everything is ready when the dough is well browned. We give the pie time to cool and we can serve it.

The meat must be washed and cut into strips (not too thin, but so that it cooks quickly). Next, you need to salt it, add pepper to taste and mix well. Then the meat is placed in a heated frying pan. There is no need to add oil, since juice will definitely come out of the layer. The meat in the pan should be stirred constantly. Then add onion, cut into pieces, and carrots, which must first be grated. Sliced mushrooms and bell peppers are also added to the frying pan. Fry the food when half cooked.
Now let's move on to potatoes. It needs to be peeled, washed, cut into slices. In general, you can choose how to cut the potatoes (slices or circles). But it’s better in circles, it will cook faster. Next, add salt to the potatoes, add your favorite spices and cover with mayonnaise. Then all the ingredients from the frying pan are transferred to the potatoes. All this needs to be mixed carefully.
Prepare a baking tray in advance. It must be lubricated with oil so that nothing burns. We put potatoes with meat and vegetables on it, distribute it over its entire surface. The oven should be preheated to 180 degrees. Place the baking sheet there and wait about 40 minutes. Constantly taste the potatoes. About ten minutes before cooking, sprinkle the potatoes with grated cheese.
