Baked Turkey Chops with Mushrooms and Cheese

Turkey has a pleasant taste and soft texture. But if you supplement it with mushrooms and cheese, you get a unique holiday dish.

Ingredients

:

  • 0.5 kg;
  • 200 g pickled;
  • 200 g hard cheese;
  • 2 tomatoes;
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil;
  • a little salt and pepper.

Open the jar of pickled mushrooms, drain the brine, and cut the mushrooms into slices. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.

Advice! You can also use fresh mushrooms, but you will need to pre-fry them with finely chopped onions.

Rinse the tomatoes, cut out the stem and cut the vegetables into circles. We rinse the breast, wipe it with a napkin and cut medallions 0.7-1 cm thick. Rub each piece with spices and salt.

Place the chopped pieces of meat in a greased refractory dish, put mushrooms and tomatoes on top and cover everything with grated cheese. Bake for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees.

Turkey batter: recipe

To cook turkey in batter, take:

  • 0.5 kg poultry fillet.
  • 2 chicken eggs.
  • 40 g hard cheese.
  • Flour for dredging chops.
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Let's get started:

  1. We cut the poultry meat into plates, the thickness of which should not exceed 8 mm. Pay attention to how the fibers should be done: cut across them. Otherwise the chop will be dry and tough.
  2. Next step: beat each piece of meat. We do this carefully so that there is no damage and it maintains its integrity. Next, add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Prepare the batter. Beat the eggs well in a cup and mix them with the cheese grated on a fine grater.
  4. Pour some wheat flour into a flat plate. Dredge each chop first in flour and then in the egg-cheese mixture.
  5. Place in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil. Fry on each side for 1-1.5 minutes until browned.

Turkey thigh chops in the oven

While turkey breast can be dry, turkey thigh chops are difficult to dry out. This part of the carcass is juicier, so it is easier to cook in the oven.

Ingredients

:

  • 0.6 kg;
  • 1 large egg;
  • 120 ml fresh milk;
  • 0.25 tsp granulated garlic;
  • 3-5 tbsp. vegetable oil;
  • 0.5 tsp each salt and black pepper;
  • 0.25 g of Provencal herbs;
  • 80 g corn flour.

We wash the meat, dry it and cut it into steaks. The bone can be removed immediately or chopped along with the meat. Chops with bones turn out tastier and cook faster.

Advice! The bone should not be chopped, but sawed with a special bone file. Then there will be no small fragments.

Place each piece into bags and beat. It should become thinner and larger. Rub the meat with salt, pepper and Provençal herbs.
