Preparing croutons according to this recipe is not difficult, since it requires a small list of ingredients and takes little time. This is also a good way to “get rid” of yesterday’s bread.

For the dish you will need:

  • white bread, loaf or roll - 6-8 pieces;
  • chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • Lambert brand cheese - 50 grams;
  • Parmesan cheese - 50 grams;
  • cream of any fat content - 100 ml;
  • butter - 50 grams;

  • How to make cheese croutons:

  1. Break eggs into a bowl. Shake.
  2. Grate the cheeses and add to the egg mixture.
  3. Next, pour the cream into the bowl. You can use a different amount than indicated in the recipe. The goal is to make the egg-cheese mixture not thick, but moderately liquid. Salt and pepper. Stir with a fork or whisk.
  4. Heat the frying pan. Place a small piece of butter, cut from 50 grams, on it.
  5. Dip a slice of bread into the egg-cheese mixture on both sides so that the cheese lingers on it. Send to the frying pan.

    Here's what you need:

  • pieces of white bread or unsweetened loaf - 6 pcs.;
  • light beer - 150 ml;
  • hard cheese - 200 grams;
  • butter - 50 grams;
  • eggs - 2 pieces;
  • “Russian” mustard - teaspoon;
  • ground red pepper and salt - at your discretion;
  • sprigs of fresh parsley or dill - 2 pcs.
  • “Beer” croutons must be prepared according to the following algorithm:

    1. Wash the greenery sprigs and chop finely.
    2. Fry the bread slices in a dry (or lightly oiled) frying pan on both sides until golden brown.

    7. Next add a spoonful of mustard and a quarter teaspoon of ground pepper. Mix everything thoroughly. Add salt if necessary.
    8. Separate egg yolks from whites. The latter will not be useful further.
    9. Beat the yolks thoroughly with a whisk and pour them over the cheese mixture in the frying pan.
    10. Stir everything well again and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat. Do not bring to a boil. The result should be a mixture with a consistency similar to thick sour cream.
    11. Finally, add chopped greens.
    12. Place the dried bread slices on a greased baking sheet.
    13. Spread the cheese mixture generously onto each piece of bread, but so that it does not spread too much over the entire baking sheet.
    14. Place the cheese croutons in the oven for 10-15 minutes. The temperature should be 180°C. The cheese croutons should be browned, but not burnt.
