  • Sweet pepper - 1 pc.
  • Lettuce leaves - 100 g

In the frying pan where the chicken thighs were fried, add the bell pepper cut into thin strips, add salt and pepper to taste and cook, stirring, until slightly soft but still crispy. Lavash with minced meat and vegetables – “Homemade Shawarma”

This recipe proves that homemade shawarma can not only be healthier than street food, but also much tastier, thanks to fresh vegetables and delicious minced meat.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g minced meat,
  • medium sized pita bread,
  • 1 lettuce leaf,
  • 1 medium onion,
  • 1 small tomato
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 bell pepper,
  • A bunch of cilantro,
  • 4 teaspoons mayonnaise,
  • Salt, pepper - to taste,
  • Oil for frying.

Preparation:

Cut the peeled onion into 2 parts, maybe not quite in half. We chop the part that turns out to be a little larger finely and send it to fry in a frying pan preheated to medium temperature.

While the onions are frying, knead the minced meat, but add salt and pepper in the frying pan so that the meat does not become dry and tough. Add the minced meat to the pan when the onion acquires a golden hue, while actively mixing it with the onion. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, 2-3 minutes before the mass is ready, add salt and pepper.

In order not to waste time while the minced meat is fried, let's prepare the vegetable filling. Cut the remaining onion into thin half rings. Peel the fresh cucumber and thinly slice it into slices (you can cut it into small cubes, but the slices will hold the shape of the shawarma well. Cut the tomatoes and bell peppers into thin rings. Finely chop the cilantro.

If you are preparing a dish in winter, you can replace some ingredients with more “winter” ones: instead of fresh cucumbers, use lightly salted or sour ones. Assorted canned vegetables with bell peppers and tomatoes are also good as a filling.

After preparing the minced meat, let it cool slightly. We spread the pita bread on the table and spread the mayonnaise on it from edge to edge in a strip of about 1-1.5 cm. In total, we will get 2 shawarmas per serving, so approximately divide the products in half.

Next, we lay out our ingredients in layers: lettuce, half of the minced meat (150 g), onion, cucumber slices, tomato, bell pepper, cilantro. Add a little more pepper on top. We close the edges of the pita bread inward over the filling and roll it into a slightly “flattened” tube.

We fill the second pita bread in the same way and put another dry frying pan on heat. Let both pita breads brown for 2 minutes on each side. Serve hot!

Recipe for fried pita bread stuffed with sausage and boiled eggs

This method is very good because the filling ingredients can be prepared in advance and stored for a short time in the refrigerator so that they can simply be wrapped in pita rolls and, after being fried in a frying pan, served hot and aromatic.

Ingredients for making lavash stuffed with sausage and boiled eggs:

  • lavash - 1 sheet;
  • Korean carrots - according to preference;
  • boiled sausage - 200-300 grams;
  • boiled chicken eggs - 3 pieces;
  • hard cheese - 200 grams;
  • fresh garlic - to taste;
  • mayonnaise - to taste;
  • refined vegetable oil - for frying.

Lavash has already been purchased from us. All that remains is to prepare the filling from the above products. Cut the sausage into fairly small and equal cubes; as an option, boiled meat is also allowed. Peel and cut the same boiled and cooled chicken eggs. Grind hard cheese on the coarse side of a grater.

Place all crushed ingredients in a convenient deep bowl and mix until evenly combined. Add Korean-style carrots here, taking into account their juiciness - squeeze out the excess marinade.

Peel the garlic cloves and chop them using a method convenient for you, but keep in mind that there is already a lot of piquancy in Korean carrots and do not overdo it with the amount of garlic, especially if children will participate in the meal. By the way, you can use pickled garlic cloves in this recipe.

Season the resulting mixture with mayonnaise within reasonable limits, add a little ground pepper, mix again with a wooden culinary spatula and be sure to taste for salt so that if it is insufficient, add to the desired result.

There are folds left on the pita bread, based on which you can divide this sheet into portions. Place the filling, depending on the capacity of the lavash sheet, on its lower edge and seal with sausage. Grabbing the edges of the sheet, roll the roll so that it is even and moderately dense. Wrap all remaining portions in the same way.

The rolls are all ready or some of them are ready for the first frying pan - you can heat the vegetable oil in it and lay out the permissible amount of them one by one so that they are not too crowded - it is difficult to turn over when frying. Fry on both sides until golden brown over medium heat so that the filling boils and the pita bread does not burn.

The entire procedure for preparing such an excellent breakfast will take the efficient housewife no more than half an hour, and if the filling without mayonnaise and Korean carrots, which are added immediately before rolling the rolls, is prepared in the evening, then 15-20 minutes may be enough.

Now you can safely organize sushi roll parties, because you can please with such rolls everyone!

  • Water – 300 ml
  • Vinegar (Sushi seasoning TM Kikkoman) – 30 ml
  • Lavash (thin) - 1 piece
  • Cucumber - 1/2 pcs
  • Avocado - 1/2 pcs

  • Salmon (lightly salted) - 50 g
  • Sesame - to taste

  • Soy sauce (TM Kikkoman) - to taste

Cooking time: 40 minutes

Number of servings: 2

Lavash roll recipe:

Rice must be washed “in seven waters” until the water is relatively transparent, then place the container with rice on the stove, fill with clean water, cover with a lid, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat until tender, about 12 minutes, then remove from heat without removing cover and let sit for another 15 minutes.

In the meantime, you can prepare the remaining ingredients: cut the pita bread with scissors into sheets approximately 19x13.5 in size, cut the cucumber, avocado, cheese and fish into strips lengthwise.

With wet hands, place the rice on a sheet of pita bread, leaving 1 cm at the far end. The thickness of the rice layer is about 0.5 cm. Next, you should make a longitudinal hole in the middle of the lavash sheet and grease it with a drop of wasabi.

You need to place the fish in the hole, cheese behind the fish, and then, holding the filling, wrap the roll away from you, connecting the near rice edge to the far one. You can also roll the mat a couple of times to secure the roll or give it the desired shape.

Same thing with another set of ingredients. You can pour sesame seeds into the prepared hole, and then place the cucumber in it, followed by the egg pancake and avocado. Egg pancake - a beaten egg fried on both sides in a frying pan. This set is wrapped in exactly the same way.

The protruding filling can be smoothed out with the palm of your hand.

This is what the roll should look like.

Next, it is cut into two parts, and then each part into 3 equal pieces.

The rolls are laid out on a plate and served with soy sauce.
