Lavash with potatoes. Hot lavash rolls stuffed with potatoes and sausage

step by step recipe with photos

A very tasty dish that you can prepare in literally 5 minutes - fried pita rolls with potatoes. With a minimum of ingredients, you will get a hearty and flavorful dish that both children and adults will enjoy eating! It can be served not only for lunch or dinner; thanks to the speed of creation, it will become relevant even for breakfast, for example, with hot tea or coffee, cocoa. You can buy pita bread at any convenience store or create it yourself - from flour and water. Boil the potatoes in advance in salted water with spices and cool slightly. You can not use cheese at all or choose any variety, even soft, except processed cheese. By the way, fried pita bread in melted butter turns out much tastier and more delicate in taste, and if you decide to fry it in vegetable oil, then choose refined and odorless.

How to make fried pita rolls:

Boil the potatoes in salted water and turn them into puree, let them cool slightly. If the potatoes are from yesterday, then simply mashing them with a fork will be enough.

Add grated sausage to the mashed potatoes. In this case I used boiled, but any other will do. You can also use sausages or sausages for this purpose, it’s also very tasty!

Add here any hard cheese that melts well when heated.

Mix everything until smooth. The filling for the rolls is ready. If desired, you can add fresh herbs or spices, I did not add any.

We lay out one large Armenian lavash on the table. Apply all the filling on top in an even layer and tightly roll the pita bread into a roll.

Place seam side down.

And cut with a sharp knife into pieces approximately 1.5 cm thick.

Separately, beat the eggs with salt and dip all the rolls in them on both sides one by one.

Place on a heated frying pan.

Fry over medium heat on both sides until well browned. This process is quite quick and in about 10 minutes a hot and aromatic breakfast will be ready.

Serve with sour cream or on its own. Delicious both hot and cold. This recipe for roll pies is a lifesaver for busy housewives! I recommend pampering yourself and your loved ones with this simple but delicious dish! As I said, the filling can be very diverse, practically from what you have on hand!

Bon appetit!!!

Best regards, Oksana Chaban.
