Mannik without kefir. Cooking manna on kefir with apples

Cooking steps

Step #1.

A simple recipe for manna with apples starts with kneading the dough. This stage of preparation is very important, because it determines how fluffy and airy the pie will be. To do this, prepare all the necessary ingredients - have them at hand. Take a large and deep bowl. Place sour cream in it, add sugar and semolina. Mix everything well.

Leave the mixture at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. During this time, the semolina will swell, and the recipe for our dough can be continued. For best results, cover the bowl with a lid or clean towel.

Step #2.

While the dough reaches the desired state, you should work on the apples. Wash the fruits thoroughly under running water and dry them with a kitchen towel. Cut each fruit in half. This will make it easier for you to peel the apples.

Now feel free to get rid of the core with seeds and remove the peel from the fruit. The apple skin will make the pie tough, so don't take any chances. If you follow the recipe exactly, then the manna with sour cream will turn out juicy and very tasty.

Then grate all the apple halves using a grater with large or medium holes. Transfer the fruit mixture to a plate and set it aside for a while.

Step #3.

We continue the recipe for our dough with sour cream. When the semolina swells, you can add eggs to the sour cream mixture. First, beat the eggs in a separate bowl.

This way you will be convinced of their freshness and suitability for preparing manna with apples and will make the pie more airy. Transfer the eggs to the semolina. Mix all ingredients well until smooth.

Step #4.

Then add the apple mixture, vanillin, baking powder to the dough and mix again.

Step #5.

Take a round baking dish with a diameter of 25-26 cm. Grease the bottom and sides with butter and place the prepared dough into it.

Step #6.

Now all that remains is to bake our dessert. Place the form in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. It takes about 40 minutes to bake the manna. However, you need to keep an eye on the pie - it can cook faster. It all depends on your oven and the quality of the semolina. The surface of the manna should become a uniform golden color.

Step #7.

The finished pie is dense. You can feel it if you lightly press on its surface. When the manna with apples is baked, remove the pan from the oven and let the pie cool right in it. Once the manna has cooled completely, remove it from the baking pan and transfer it to a large plate or dish.

Our quick and easy homemade baking recipe has come to an end. Before serving, sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar and cut it into portions. The dessert will be well complemented by black or green tea. You can enjoy such light and tender baked goods any day.

Don't forget to leave a comment and bon appetit!

Sometimes our family, yearning for sweets, expect baked goods from us like manna from heaven. Make them happy once, twice, three times. Mannik with kefir is the simplest pie made from the most basic ingredients that you probably have in your refrigerator at the moment.

The main secret of this baking is to ensure that the semolina is swollen enough in kefir - this will of course take time, but it is worth it. Lush manna with apples is so tasty - it’s “almost like a cake.” Today I decided to cook just like this. And I advise you to experiment with fillings and layers, cream and additives, and then this pie will take an honorable page in your cookbook.

Mannik on the water

During the period of Lent, believers exclude eggs, meat and dairy products from their diet. This is good for cleansing the body. But many are interested in the question: “Is there a recipe for manna without the usual ingredients - milk and eggs?” Cooks who adhere to church rules will be happy to share their experience.

Ingredients:

  • Water – 200 ml.
  • Sugar – 200 gr.
  • Semolina – 200 gr.
  • Flour – 80 gr.
  • Oil (refined) – 75 gr.
  • Vanillin packet
  • Dried fruits or nuts - to taste
  • Soda (slaked) – 1 teaspoon.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. Sugar is added to semolina. The mixture is mixed and filled with water.
  2. The semolina softens and swells (at least half an hour).
  3. After time, vanillin, butter and flour are added to the semolina mixture. Everything is thoroughly mixed. The consistency is similar to sour cream. If desired, nuts or dried fruits are added to the dough.
  4. Bake in the oven at 190° for no more than 20 minutes.
  5. Lenten manna is good with jelly or compote.

The restless cook, looking for an unusual combination, uses a large number of ingredients. Trying different options, he chooses a special dessert for himself that would be different and not similar to well-known sweets. This is how real masterpieces appear. Many people like them and make them turn to them from time to time to enjoy the amazing taste.

So, the recipe for manna with apples:

  • Kefir – 200 ml (1 faceted glass)
  • Butter - 50 g.
  • Semolina - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.
  • Sugar - 1 glass
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Vanilla - to taste
  • Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Medium-sized apples - 3 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil for greasing the mold - 1 tbsp. spoon

So, semolina has the function of flour, so first of all, fill it with kefir and let it brew to swell. You will need 35-40 minutes. If you want a fluffy, crumbly cake, don't skip the soaking step. Otherwise, hard grains of semolina will settle to the bottom and the pie will turn out gummy, uneven, and may seem raw.

To be honest, I didn’t start making mannas right away. I achieved excellent results only when I gained patience and began to wait for the allotted time for the cereal to swell. Since then, mannikas have been my favorite baked goods.

Meanwhile, soften the butter at room temperature with a fork along with sugar and a pinch of salt.

Beat in the eggs. Stir the mixture until smooth. There is an opinion, with which I completely agree, that the egg whites should be beaten separately and added after the rest of the ingredients, so the kefir manna with apples turns out more fluffy. If time allows, do just that. First, add the yolks with butter and sugar, then add the swollen semolina and only then the whipped whites.

After the semolina has infused, the mixture will become more homogeneous and thick. Stir it and combine with the egg-oil mixture.

I forgot to say that instead of kefir you can use yogurt, natural yogurt without additives, you can bake semolina with sour cream or use a mixture of sour cream and milk to swell the semolina.

If you decide to make the pie the night before, you can leave the semolina to soak in the refrigerator (8-10 hours). If you cook on the same day, the cereal should swell at room temperature.

Add two teaspoons of baking powder to the manna dough.

It is not recommended to substitute baking soda for baking powder in this recipe.

Finely chopped apples are added to the dough. Mix. Pour the finished dough into a mold lined with parchment (you can additionally grease the baking paper with vegetable oil and dust it with flour). I baked a pie with semolina in a mold with a diameter of 23 cm. The consistency of the dough for semolina is a little thicker than for pancakes with apples.

Mannik on kefir with apples is baked in the oven at 180 C for 35-40 minutes.

The recipe for manna with kefir can be varied by adding currants instead of apples, sliced plums and other berries. Hot manna can be cooled and then decorated with powdered sugar or covered with chocolate glaze.

A cross-section of a piece of fluffy pie in the photo:

If you decide to bake manna in a slow cooker, use the “Baking” mode for 50 minutes until fully cooked. The time directly depends on the power of your multicooker, so use a dry toothpick as a guide (when piercing the semolina in the highest place, the toothpick should remain dry).

Do you think I baked charlotte? No! This is a real manna with apples and kefir. In winter, I baked manna for the first time and now I remembered this pastry with a delicate crumbly structure. Like any basic recipe, the manna recipe can be diluted with various additives: raisins, dried apricots, chocolate, as well as various fruits and berries. Each such additive adds its own originality. Add aromatic juicy apples and you get something more delicious.

The apple season is now beginning; these are the most affordable fruits in our country, they are sold all year round. True, the price has recently risen, almost equal to that of overseas bananas.

Curd manna recipe

  • Low fat cottage cheese 250 g
  • Kefir 200 ml
  • Sugar half a glass
  • Egg 2
  • Baking powder
  • Salt 0.5 teaspoon
  • Vanillin

Take a deep bowl and place eggs, sugar, salt, and baking powder in it. Whisk everything until all particles are completely dissolved. Next, add kefir and cereal, stir well and let stand for 50 minutes.

When the dough is ready, you need to add cottage cheese and vanillin and stir again. Prepare the baking dish and coat it thoroughly with oil. Carefully pour in the dough, preheat the oven to 200 C, and set the pie to cook. If desired, you can decorate with powder or berries.

The entire manna with cottage cheese accounts for approximately 1600 calories, per serving 175-200 kcal. Not to say that it is a diet pie, but with a low calorie content, it is quite tasty, and also healthy.

If you have a multicooker at home, you can cook a fairly airy and golden pie in it. The main thing is that the “baking” function is built-in.

How to cook manna on kefir with apples

I have already told you the cooking process, and now I will tell you how to prepare manna with apples according to the same dough recipe without flour, but with semolina.

As befits such a semolina dough, you need to let the cereal soften. Pour a glass of semolina with a glass of kefir. Stir and set aside for about forty minutes. Instead of kefir, you can use sour cream or milk, sour milk, yogurt, and even a mixture of sour cream and milk.

The mixture should be quite thick.

Beat eggs with sugar. I took three eggs, they were small, from domestic chickens. You know, there is a concept of a category of eggs: the first category C1 is the largest, the selected ones are smaller. There are even fewer. This is probably what I have.

Add soft butter and vanilla sugar if desired.

Mix this mass with the swollen semolina, add a teaspoon of baking powder.

Mix everything and the dough is ready.

Let's prepare the apples. Not all apples are suitable for pie; you need to choose sweet and sour ones. They should be washed under running cold water, cut out the middle and cut in any way you like: cubes, strips, slices. For the filling, I cut two apples like this (you could do three), and for the top of the pie I cut one apple into slices.

This is how you cut the apples for the pie filling

I greased the baking dish with butter, but only the bottom. To make it easier to remove.

I poured some of the dough into the bottom of the mold to cover the bottom (the dough is liquid). Lay out the chopped fruit.

Pour all the remaining dough on top and place apple slices in a circle for decoration. At this stage, you can sprinkle the fruit with cinnamon.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes. Be sure to check the doneness of the baked goods with a wooden stick. My manna baked a little longer than usual.

This is how beautiful it turned out: tender, crumbly manna with apples on kefir. Once you take a bite, you will be delighted and memorize this recipe so you can bake it again and again!

This pie is also called cake and charlotte with semolina, but I disagree. Still, this is real manna without flour, and in other recipes the composition is slightly different.

You can prepare a delicious semolina pie in different ways. This recipe uses apples and adds milk to the dough. This manna with apples in milk, baked in the oven, turns out tender, with a crispy crust. For lovers of aspic pies with apples, we recommend trying this recipe. Instead of apples, you can prepare this manna with apples, berries or banana.
