Progress:

Pour rolled oats flakes, approximately 150 grams, into a deep cup.

Add the same amount of wheat flour to the cereal.

Then add sugar. If you want the casserole to be very sweet, add 5 tablespoons. And if it’s moderately sweet, then three tablespoons is enough. I added three. Then I added a little salt, literally a pinch. With salt, in my opinion, it tastes better, although you don’t have to add it at all.

Now we need carrots. The carrots need to be washed and peeled well, and then grated on a coarse grater. But if you want the casserole to be more uniform and the carrots not to be visible, then the carrots need to be grated on a very fine grater. In this case, the carrots will be almost imperceptible, and the casserole will acquire a more even orange tint, which will be noticeable when cut. But personally, I prefer the option with large carrots.

Then wash the chicken egg well and break it into the dough.

Mix. Add enough water to make the mixture a little thicker in consistency than pancakes.

Grease the baking dish with sunflower oil. Place the dough into it and level it with a spoon.

Turn on the oven at 180 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.

While the dough is baking, make the filling for the casserole so that it has a golden brown crust on top.

To do this, pour 2 or 3 tablespoons of flour into a cup and pour boiling water over the flour. Add a little sugar and a tablespoon of sunflower oil. Mix everything well.

Now remove the not-quite-ready casserole from the oven, turning it over if necessary. I have a foil pan so I flipped it over. And pour our filling onto the casserole. Spread it well with a spoon.

Bake the casserole until golden brown for 10 minutes.

That's all, take the carrot casserole out of the oven, let it cool a little and cut into portions. You can sprinkle the casserole with powdered sugar.

Option 2. With apple and cinnamon

To prepare, we need the same ingredients as for the classic recipe, but in addition to them we need an apple and cinnamon powder. It is advisable to use a firm apple of sweet and sour varieties, or green. This recipe is prepared in the same way as a classic casserole, only at the stage of preparing the dough, a grated apple and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon are added to it, after which everything is thoroughly mixed. One medium-sized apple will be enough for the specified amount of cottage cheese and other ingredients. You can add the amount of sugar and cinnamon to your taste.

Option 3. With pumpkin

To prepare, take 200 grams of pumpkin (the remaining ingredients are in the same quantities as in the classic recipe). Peel and cut the pumpkin into cubes. To preserve its beneficial properties, it is recommended to steam the pumpkin and then beat it in a blender to make the product more airy. But you can simplify the recipe and just grate it on a fine grater. Add pumpkin to the curd dough, and then cook as in the classic recipe. After the pumpkin casserole becomes golden brown, sprinkle it with powdered sugar and you can serve it.
