Preparation of the recipe “Chicken fillet in soy sauce”:

​Heat a frying pan and fry the marinated chicken in it.​

​It is convenient to cook in a wok or in a deep frying pan (preferably cast iron without coating). Heat the pan and melt the fat, add sesame oil. How to cook chicken with ginger: variations on a theme

Chefs value ginger for its versatility. It is used to make drinks, season vegetables and meat, and make chips to decorate dishes. And who hasn’t seen pickled ginger slices, intricately arranged in a “rose pattern”! But how to cook chicken with ginger? It turns out that this can be done in different ways.

On an open fire

This cooking method is called “oriental chicken with honey and ginger” in cookbooks. The recipe is ideal for treating unexpected guests, as it is prepared, as they say, “in a hurry.”

Product consumption for three servings:

  • Three chicken breast fillets.
  • Honey – 2 tsp.
  • Ginger root – 5 g.
  • Onion – 0.5 heads.
  • Garlic – 2-3 cloves.
  • Soy sauce – 2 tbsp.
  • Lemon juice – 1.5 tbsp.
  • Ground pepper - to taste.

Salt is optional. For those who like it spicier, you should increase the amount of garlic and ginger.

For cooking, it is advisable to choose a deep frying pan with a lid. Place chicken meat cut into small pieces in heated olive oil. Fry the fillet until the color changes from pink to white. Add pepper, chopped onion, cover with a lid. After 5 minutes, add finely chopped garlic and ginger to the pan.

Pour soy sauce and lemon juice on top, mix everything thoroughly. Cook over medium heat with the lid closed for about five minutes. Then remove the lid and continue frying until all the liquid has evaporated. In total, frying takes approximately 15 minutes.

Since the name of the dish states its oriental origin, therefore, rice is best suited as a side dish.

Help: to prepare second courses, fresh ginger root is first washed, peeled, cut into thin slices or grated. The ground root is most often used as a spice.

In the oven

The chicken and ginger dish can also be prepared in the oven. Here are several options for preparing a fragrant and tasty dish.

With pickled ginger and chicken

To prepare it you will need:

  • a handful of lettuce;
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes;
  • sweet bell pepper;
  • chicken fillet;
  • pickled ginger to taste;
  • 0.5 tsp. chicken seasonings;
  • 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce;
  • vegetable oil;
  • sesame seed;
  • 1 tbsp. l. liquid honey.

First, beat the fillet a little with a kitchen hammer, sprinkle with seasoning and fry in a frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil. When the fillet is cooked, remove it from the pan, cool and cut into small pieces. While the chicken is cooling, you can do the vegetables.

  1. Cut the tomatoes into strips or cubes, remove the seeds from the inside of the pepper and cut into strips, tear the lettuce leaves with your hands.
  2. Place all the vegetables in a salad bowl, add ginger.
  3. Place pieces of fried breast on top.

Cooking process:

We thoroughly wash the legs, remove the remaining feathers and place them in a deep bowl for subsequent marinating. Add a tablespoon of liquid honey to the chicken. Salt and pepper. White pepper is best used for this dish.

Add 100 ml of soy sauce (I used salad sauce).

You can season the bird with turmeric or cloves. Cut the fresh ginger root into strips and add it to the rest of the ingredients.

Mix the chicken pieces with your hands so that the sauce envelops them over the entire surface, and leave to marinate for 4-6 hours, or preferably overnight.

Line a baking dish with parchment paper or foil and grease it with vegetable oil so that the chicken drumsticks do not stick to the bottom of the pan during cooking. We lay out the meat and pour it over the marinade in which it was marinated.

Baking time for drumsticks is 40 minutes at a temperature of 180-200 degrees.

Serve the baked dish with vegetable garnish and herbs. Bon appetit!
