- 500 gr. minced meat;
- 1 onion;
- 2 slices of stale loaf;
- 1 egg;
- salt, ground black pepper to taste.
Filling:
- 5 eggs;
- 1 boiled carrot;
- 0.5 pods of bell pepper;
- greens to taste.
Additionally:
- 150 gr. puff pastry;
- 1 egg yolk;
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil;
- some cranberries.
Grind the onion, it is better to use a blender or grater to get something like onion puree. Soak the bread and squeeze it out. Mix onion and bread with minced meat, add raw egg. Salt and pepper. Mix well and beat out the minced meat.
Cut the boiled carrots and bell peppers into long strips. Boil and peel the eggs for the filling. Finely chop the greens.
Lubricate the cling film with vegetable oil and place the minced meat on the film in the form of a rectangular cake. Place strips of carrots and peppers in the middle of the flatbread. Sprinkle peppers and carrots with chopped herbs. Then place the boiled eggs in a row.
Lifting the film, we form an even roll, transfer it to a baking sheet covered with foil and greased with vegetable oil. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into even strips. Ingredients:

- A bunch of parsley;

How to make a minced meat roll with eggs in the middle:
Prepare the minced meat as for cutlets.

And here’s the second secret: place the roll only with the seam down! When I cooked it the second time, I simply pinched the top and wrapped it in foil, and then wondered why it cracked so picturesquely.
Eventually it dawned on me that if I bake baked pies and dough rolls seam side down, why did I put the meatloaf the other way around?
Third know-how - you shouldn’t put the roll in a hot oven, it’s better in a warm oven - otherwise the same thing will happen to it as with muffins when they crack: the crust will set, but the middle will still be raw - and as a result, the top will crack. Therefore, having wrapped the roll in foil, put it in the oven at 160-170C and bake, gradually raising the temperature to 170-180C, for 20-25 minutes.
Then unfold the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes to get a golden brown top. And to make the crust more appetizing, you can increase the temperature to 200C (and I also greased the top of the roll with the egg that I forgot to put in the minced meat).
Having taken the roll out of the oven and waited until it cools a little, cut it into portioned slices, decorate with herbs and serve.
