Cranberry and apple compote: step-by-step recipe
Any housewife can make apple-cranberry compote. Its preparation is incredibly simple. The drink turns out amazing, with a pleasant sweet and sour taste and rich color.
Products:
- 0.4 kg apples;
- 0.2 kg cranberries;
- 0.35 kg sugar;
- 5 gr. citric acid.
Preparation:
- Wash the apples in fairly warm water.
- Place the cranberries in a deep container and fill with water, remove any floating, dried berries from the surface.
- Cut the apples into thin slices, cut off the middle.
- Sterilize the container and place the apples cut into slices into it.
- Place cranberries in the jars as the next layer.
- Add sugar and citric acid there.
- Pour water into the pan and boil for 5 minutes.
- Fill the containers one-third full with boiling water and cover with lids.
- After 4 minutes, pour in the remaining boiling water.
- After this, roll up the container, place it upside down and cover with something warm.
Healthy drink with currants
Cranberry compote with currants is another delicious drink option. It turns out sweet and sour and can be brewed from fresh or frozen berries.

1. Select neat, round and ripe berries, separate them from the stalks and wash them thoroughly.
2. Make syrup. Add sugar to boiling water. There is no need to add the entire dose of sugar at once; do it gradually. This way we will achieve the required consistency and sweet taste.
