Vegetable with carrots and beets

When grinding, the components provide thickness, so the finished smoothie can be diluted with tomato or carrot juice if desired.

Cut 1 small peeled carrot and beet into pieces. Beat the components separately, combine together with the celery stalk, peeled from solid parts. Re-beat the ingredients. If desired, dilute the smoothie with apple juice and sprinkle with cinnamon or vanilla when serving.

If you don’t want such a thick drink, then make juice from an apple and carrots. And then, adding banana, ginger and mint to apple-carrot-orange juice, make a smoothie.

There are some nuances to drinking smoothies. For example, the detox effect will be achieved only if the smoothie does not have additives (yogurt, cottage cheese). For this reason, I would like to somehow balance modern life, at least through proper nutrition.

This nutritious and vitamin smoothie will help, at least a little, but still solve these problems. Even our grandmothers knew about the beneficial effects of carrots on complexion. My grandmother always told me that I need to eat one carrot a day, and then a gentle blush and a fresh complexion are guaranteed to me.

Carrots can rightfully be called the pantry of health and youth. This admirable root vegetable can slow down old age and improve the functioning of internal organs. The other healing properties of carrots may seem endless.

I think that every housewife has this vegetable in her kitchen, so you can create such a smoothie even without an extra trip to the store.

Of course, the carrot’s most worthy partner is the apple. That's why I also included them in this orange smoothie recipe. And also, to make it more watery, I threw in half an orange, which, in turn, added some sourness to the smoothie. Also, for better absorption of beta-carotene, be sure to pour a small portion of olive oil into the drink.

  • 1 apple

  • 1 tsp. olive oil

How to cook:

  1. Should I put carrots in a blender? To create a drink from raw carrots and similar dense ingredients, you need a fairly powerful blender. If your kitchen machine has medium power, I recommend grating hard vegetables and fruits first. If your blender is powerful enough, then the carrots will blend well enough. Sometimes there may be small pieces, but it's not that bad. If you don’t like pieces, then use a grater to prepare carrots.
  2. Preparation of ingredients. Peel the top layer of carrots and chop with a large-hole grater. Peel the apple, remove the core, cut into random pieces.
  3. Mix the ingredients. First, I threw the most watery component into the blender container - the orange, having first rid it of the hard peel and cleaned it as much as possible from the soft skin. Add chopped carrots and apple pieces to the orange, beat until smooth, about 1 minute.
  4. Next, throw in the nuts and seeds. I didn't add any sweetener because the carrots I used were quite sweet. In any case, rely on the taste of your products and personal preferences.
  5. The consistency of this smoothie is quite thick, so add a little apple juice to thin the mixture. If you don’t currently have juice, you can replace it with mineral water.
  6. Turn on the blender one more time until all ingredients are completely mixed.
  7. Let's bring it to the table. Pour the finished smoothie into serving glasses. Just before serving, pour in a little oil and garnish with seeds or nuts.

RECIPES: Carrot-apple-orange smoothie

In one of my posts, I wrote about an app with recipes for a variety of smoothies from Whole Living and Martha Stewart. And, of course, I bought it and decided to gradually try all the recipes.

We replenish our vitamin reserves and don’t forget to count calories. So, the very first recipe (and one of the brightest in color) is apple + carrots + ginger + orange! For this recipe, I had to get out my juicer, which had been sitting around collecting dust.

I got a juicer because it’s quite difficult to find normal carrot juice in our stores. Therefore, it was easier to buy carrots and prepare fresh carrots - much tastier and healthier!

The original recipe calls for freezing the carrot juice and then grinding the ice in a blender along with the rest of the ingredients. But since it's getting colder again, drinking cocktails with ice isn't a good idea. I decided to leave the carrot juice in its original state.

So, for two servings you will need: a glass of carrot juice, a glass of orange juice, 1 green apple, 2 teaspoons of ginger, 1 teaspoon of honey.

What to do with all this? Peel and seed the apple and chop it finely (to make it easier to chop in a blender). Grate a small piece of fresh ginger.

If you use juices from packages, then simply mix all the ingredients in a blender and the smoothie is ready. If you prefer more natural ingredients (as in my case), prepare fresh carrot and orange juice, and then mix everything.

My corrections. The carrots were sweet and had a pronounced taste, the apple was also sweet, so I: a) added less juice and b) did not add honey - and it turned out so sweet! If the apple is sour, it is better to add a little honey.

I would also recommend adding a little less ginger, since without ice its flavor is quite strong.

Carrots, oranges and apples will add vitamins and energy, and ginger will help fight colds. As a result, you get a vitamin bomb with an antiseptic effect.

Celery smoothie with tomato

• One percent fat kefir (3/4 cup) • Fresh celery (a couple of sprigs) • Tomato (1 piece).

Preparation:

1. Scald the tomato with boiling water - in just a minute you can easily separate the thin skin from the pulp.

2. Wash and chop the spinach. Place in a blender container along with the tomato (you can add a few sprigs of dill or parsley), blend for about 40 seconds.

3. Add cold kefir and a pinch of spices to taste. Whip again until foam appears.

Option 1: Classic carrot smoothie recipe

People first started talking about smoothies back in the last century. This drink was invented by surfers living in California. To quickly restore strength without heaviness in the stomach, they beat fruits and vegetables with a blender. To prepare the drink, you can use juices or purees. Dairy products, cereals and spices are often added to it.

Carrots can be used to make sweet and savory smoothies. They turn out very tasty and healthy. Carrots help improve vision and strengthen blood vessels. This vegetable is indispensable in the fight against fatigue and stress. Vitamins A and E accelerate skin restoration, nail and hair growth.

Ingredients

:

Step-by-step carrot smoothie recipe

Of course, you could make a smoothie with just carrots and juice, but that's too boring. So we'll make a bright orange vitamin shake with honey and orange.

If you find honey that is too thick, melt it in a water bath. Let it cool a little, only then you can start preparing the drink.

Wash the orange and carrot. Peel these ingredients. Divide the orange into slices, carefully remove the membranes and seeds from each of them.

Cut the carrots into cubes. If the blender does not cope with solid products, it is better to grate the root vegetable.

Place all ingredients in a blender bowl. Beat them until smooth. It is recommended to drink the cocktail immediately before meals.

To better absorb the beneficial substances from carrots, it is recommended to add a little oil to the smoothie. You can use sunflower, olive or coconut. Sometimes instead of butter, a little nut butter, pumpkin or sunflower seeds are added to the cocktail.

Vegetable smoothie with strawberries

• Unsweetened yogurt (1 cup) • Fresh tomato (1 piece) • Strawberries (one and a half cups) • Chinese cabbage (2 leaves) • Honey or stevia (added to taste).

Preparation:

1. Cut the washed tomato into slices. Place in a blender container along with the cut strawberries.

2. To prevent cabbage leaves from losing their beneficial properties, tear them with your hands instead of slicing. Add to the tomato-strawberry mixture and top with natural yoghurt.

3. Add sweetener of your choice. Grind the products until smooth.

As in the case of radish, it is recommended to postpone tasting for a while - let the cocktail steep for at least 6-7 minutes.

Carrot smoothie with fruits and blueberries

Compound:

  • carrots – 0.3 kg;
  • blueberries – 100 g;
  • orange – 0.2 kg;
  • pear – 0.2 kg;
  • banana – 150 g;
  • fresh spinach – 50 g.

Cooking method:

  • Peel the carrots, cut them and grind them in a blender. Squeeze the puree through several layers of gauze to obtain juice. You can also use a household juicer to obtain juice.
  • Peel the banana, cut into slices, and put in the freezer for half an hour.
  • Sort out the berries, wash, dry, spread on a towel. If desired, you can also freeze it.
  • Disassemble the orange into slices, freeing them from the films.
  • Finely chop the spinach with a knife.
  • Peel the pear and cut out the sections with seeds. Cut the pear pulp into small pieces.
  • Place oranges and pears in a blender jar. Place the spinach there too. Grind the ingredients.
  • Add the bananas and blueberries in the refrigerator.
