- Otherwise, you don’t need anything supernatural: a deep frying pan (preferably a wok), a slotted spoon, a spatula for stirring, a cutting board and a sharp knife.
- And, of course, the stove.

How to choose the right ingredients
- Please note that for preparation you do not need vinegar, but essence. If you don’t have it, you can take vinegar, but you will need 5-7 times more of it (due to the lower concentration of acetic acid).
- Try to use lean pieces of pork. However, to get the most satisfying dish, you can also cook pork ribs in sweet and sour sauce, but you will need more of them, about 0.7 kg.
- It is better to take sunflower oil.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
To cook Chinese pork in sweet and sour sauce, you should first deal with the meat, and then create the sauce. To make it easier, I divided the recipe into steps.
First stage
Prepare pork, water, salt and starch (pour 2 teaspoons of it into a separate bowl and use the rest).
- Rinse the meat, dry it and cut into slices about a centimeter thick.
- Place the meat in a bowl, add salt and let stand for five minutes.
- Cover the meat with starch and carefully pour in water (about 100-150 ml). The consistency should be similar to low-fat kefir. Leave the meat for 10 minutes.
Second phase
You will need vegetable oil.
- Place the frying pan on the fire and pour oil onto it so that it covers the bottom by a couple of centimeters.
- Heat the oil properly and carefully place the pork into it. Lower the pieces one by one, the meat should lie in one layer.
- When the meat is fried, use a slotted spoon to remove it from the pan and place it on a plate.
- Carefully drain off the remaining oil.
Third stage
You will need sugar, water, tomato paste, starch, vinegar essence.
- In the same frying pan where you fried the pork, add sugar and pour in the remaining water (about 150 ml). Mix thoroughly.
- Add tomato paste and bring mixture until smooth.
- Pour 2 teaspoons of starch, set aside earlier, with a couple of tablespoons of water and stir until smooth. Let it sit for a couple of minutes.
- When the sauce boils, reduce the heat and pour in the vinegar essence. Be careful, the smell will be strong, no need to lean over the frying pan!
- Boil the sauce for about a minute and pour in the diluted starch. Mix the mixture thoroughly.
- When the sauce thickens, pour in a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil in which the pork was fried. Mix thoroughly and leave on the heat for another minute (it should be minimal).
Fourth stage
You will need sesame oil.
- Carefully lower the pork into the sauce.
- Warm the dish over low heat for a couple of minutes.
- Pour sesame oil into the almost finished pork in sweet and sour sauce - this ingredient is often used in Chinese cuisine. Give the dish a final stir.

Now let's look at step-by-step instructions for vegetables in sweet and sour sauce in Chinese.
To prepare you will need:
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 300 grams of champignon;
- 2 tbsp. spoons of peanut, sesame oil, soy sauce and rice vinegar;
- a head of cauliflower;
- two sweet peppers and the same amount of purple onions;
- carrot;
- 3 cm ginger root;
- three to four pinches of sugar;
- 1 tsp. corn starch.
Cooking:
- First, remove the stems and seeds from the peppers. Cut the vegetables into strips.
- Peel the carrots and cut into cubes.
- Divide the cabbage into small florets.
- Wash the champignons and cut into slices.
- Cut the onion into half rings.
- Grind the ginger.
- Cut the garlic into slices.
- Heat peanut oil in a saucepan. Add ginger, onion and garlic there. Fry over high heat for exactly 1 minute. Stir during the process.
- Next, add the remaining vegetables and mushrooms to the saucepan. Cook over high heat for about three minutes.
- Pour half a glass of water into the saucepan. Simmer over high heat for about five minutes.
- Add sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, and starch diluted with water to the saucepan. Mix the ingredients together. Cook over high heat for three minutes. Before serving, sprinkle vegetables in sweet and sour sauce with sesame oil. Bon appetit!

Step-by-step cooking recipe
Using a slow cooker, preparing such a dish is even simpler and easier than its classic version.
First stage
Prepare peppers (sweet and chili), onions, garlic, pineapples.
- Peel the sweet pepper, rinse and chop into small strips.
- Wash the chili pepper and cut into slices.
- Peel the onion and chop into slices.
- Peel the garlic, chop finely, mix with chili pepper.
- Cut the pineapples into small cubes.
Second phase
You will need pork, starch, vegetable oil.
- Rinse the meat and dry on a paper towel.
- Cut the pork into small strips.
- Sprinkle the meat with starch and mix thoroughly so that every piece is sprinkled.
- Pour oil into the multicooker saucepan and place the pork in it.
- Select the "Fry" mode and cook for 10 minutes, stirring the meat from time to time.
Third stage
- Set the “Fry” mode for another 5 minutes.
- Add pineapples and prepared vegetables to the meat, stir. Leave for another three minutes.
- Pour in soy and sweet and sour sauce, add a mixture of peppers and sesame seeds. Cook for the remaining two minutes, stirring the dish.

Pork with pineapple sauce
Pineapples combined with noble pork meat can impress any gourmet. Such extravagant duets are typical for spicy Chinese cuisine.

Ingredients:
- half a kilo of pork;
- 400 gr. canned pineapple - pieces;
- 1 chicken egg;
- 1 bunch of dill;
- 1 onion;
- salt, pepper and seasonings - to taste.
For the sauce:
- 3 tablespoons apple juice;
- 1 tablespoon mustard;
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice;
- 3 tablespoons of cream with at least 20% fat content;
- 2 pinches of starch;
- salt, pepper - to taste.
Preparation:
- Rinse the pork and pound it using a special hammer.
- Prepare the marinade by mixing a chicken egg, finely chopped onion, dill, salt and pepper.
- Marinate the pork well with the mixture and add the pineapples.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place the meat in a greased pan and cover the sides and top with fruit. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Add water periodically if necessary.
- Heat the cream and apple juice in a small enamel saucepan. Add 2 pinches of starch, mustard, lemon juice, pepper and salt. Cook all ingredients for about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the finished meat. Bon appetit!
What is added to this dish for taste?
- If you want to make this dish, don't be afraid to experiment with the sauce. Instead of water, you can add lingonberry juice; it gives a pleasant sourness. By the way, try making lingonberry sauce for meat.
- It’s a good idea to pour a couple of spoons of soy sauce into the pan - this will add new flavors. By the way, using this recipe you can also make a “dressing” for chicken in sweet and sour sauce.
- Ginger root (fresh or pickled) and garlic will add piquancy to the taste and smell. Eggplants in sweet and sour sauce will be especially good in this case.
How to serve the dish
In principle, such meat is a hot dish in its own right, but you can serve it with fresh salads, chopped vegetables, and rice as a side dish. Drinks include table wine and juices.
Chicken with pineapples
Why not cook the same chicken with pineapples? This exotic fruit goes well with many foods. It gives a special taste.
Necessary:
- Chicken fillet – 500 gr
- Soy sauce - 100 gr
- Vinegar – 1 tbsp. l
- Sugar – 30 gr
- Salt – 5 g
- Canned pineapples – 100 gr
- Starch – 50 g
- Tomato paste – 20 g
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Bell pepper – 1 pc.
Procedure:
Chop the chicken into medium pieces. Pour soy sauce on top and stir to distribute evenly. Set aside to infuse for 20 - 30 minutes
Meanwhile, peel the onions and peppers. Cut vegetables into medium sized cubes
Sprinkle chicken with starch and stir.
Starch will create a crispy crust and thicken the sauce.
Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. Fry the pieces of meat in small parts on both sides until golden brown.
When all the meat is fried, transfer the previously prepared vegetables to the frying pan. Add tomato paste and vinegar. Mix everything
Fold in the canned pineapples. If necessary, cut them into cubes in advance.
If you add a little more pineapple than the required amount, the taste of the dish will be even more expressive. This product adds a sweetish taste
Add sugar, salt, starch. Stir until smooth. Fry for another five minutes
Transfer the chicken pieces to the pan. Mix everything. Remove from heat. When serving, each serving can be decorated with chopped herbs.
