Recipe for making pancakes with yeast without eggs
Time required: 20 minutes + 1 hour for the dough to “grow”. Recipe makes: 1-3 servings. Kitchen utensils: thick-bottomed frying pan, bowl, spoon, sieve, mixer, stove. Calorie content per 100 g of dish: 198 kcal.
Grocery list
Boiled water | 400 ml |
Granulated sugar | 50 g |
Dry yeast | 5 g |
Salt | 1 pinch |
Vanilla sugar | 1 tsp. |
Wheat flour | 11th century l. |
Step-by-step preparation
- Sift 11 tbsp into a deep bowl. l. wheat flour.
- Add 50 g of granulated sugar to the flour. If you like sweeter pancakes, you can add a third spoon.
- For aroma, add 1 tsp. vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt.
- At the very end, add 5 g of dry yeast (this is about 1 heaped teaspoon) and mix everything thoroughly with a whisk or spoon.
- Add 400 ml of water in small portions and knead the dough.
The water must be boiled and warm so that the yeast can work faster and more efficiently. - If you see that there are still lumps in the dough, it is better to beat it again with a mixer or continue to knead it with a spoon until smooth.
- Place the dough covered with a napkin in a warm place and leave there for an hour.
- Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan. When my mother fries pancakes, she pours about 100 ml of sunflower oil, but for me this is a lot. I usually pour it so that the oil evenly covers the bottom of the pan.
- Scoop the dough into a spoon and place it on hot oil. Fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown. If you, like me, do not like very fatty ones, then pour a little vegetable oil, and cover the pan with a lid during frying.
- Place the finished pancakes on a napkin so that excess fat drips off, and you are ready to serve!

Cooking tips
- Always sift the flour to ensure the finished pancakes are fluffy . Thus, it is enriched with oxygen and it is more likely that your dessert will turn out light and airy. In addition, most often recipes call for the use of wheat flour, however, you can experiment and replace it with corn, buckwheat or any other.
- Watch the consistency of the dough carefully. It should not be very liquid and at the same time, it should not be steep. Ideally, it resembles thick sour cream. Adjust its thickness with flour.
- The milk base for pancakes should be at room temperature, then it will interact better with soda.
- After you knead the dough, leave it aside for 10-30 minutes. And only after that, start frying; there is no need to stir it again before frying. And one more thing, do not leave a ladle or spoon in the bowl.
- To make it easier to put the dough in the pan, before scooping the dough, dip a spoon into boiling vegetable oil and only then take the dough with it.
- It is better to fry in a small amount of oil and under a closed lid . Once the pancakes are browned on the bottom and bubbles appear on top, you can turn them over. If you poured too much oil into the pan, place the finished pancakes on a plate lined with napkins or paper towels.
- Pancakes are tastier, airier and lighter when warm , so don’t prepare a huge batch at once; it’s better to fry some more later.

Yes, the kids wanted something for tea and now 10 minutes and the pancakes are ready for tea or with compote.

Yeast-based kefir pancakes without eggs. Fluffy kefir pancakes without eggs
There is an opinion that airy, fluffy pancakes can only be made from... Everything would be fine, but you don’t always want to tinker with it, and it’s always a pity for the dough to rise. Therefore, my “relationship” with making pancakes somehow didn’t work out until my wonderful colleague, my respected mentor at work, Natalya Vasilyevna, told me how to make fluffy pancakes with kefir without eggs and without yeast! The cooking process has become so simplified that I spend no more than twenty minutes from opening a jar of kefir to frying the last pancake! Now lush, aromatic, delicious piping hot pancakes are a frequent guest on our table! Try it too!
Ingredients
- Kefir (sour milk) - 0.5 l.
- Flour - 0.5 l.
- Sugar - 1 tbsp.
- Salt - 1/4 tsp.
- Soda - 1/2 tsp
- Boiling water - 1 des.l.
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Cooking process
- It happens that there is still a little milk left in the package, but you can already feel the sourness. You shouldn't throw it away. It is better to leave this milk at room temperature for a while so that it completely curdles. I always keep this kind of sour milk in stock for making pancakes. You can, of course, buy kefir if you like. So, the proportions of kefir and flour in the dough are the same in volume. Take about 0.5 liters of kefir, less or more. Add sugar, salt. Mix.
- We brew half a teaspoon of soda with boiling water (about 1 dessert spoon), and the soda “hisses” as if we had extinguished it with vinegar. Add it to kefir.
- Quickly and carefully stir in the flour. The dough is ready!
- Let's start frying right away. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan. It is convenient to spoon the dough into the oil using a regular tablespoon. For one small pancake, one spoon of dough is enough.
- Turn over once the first side is well browned. Pancakes made with kefir and soda grow and rise right before your eyes, because soda only begins to act when heated!
- Half a liter of kefir yields a whole pile of delicious, healthy breakfast for the whole family! Fluffy kefir pancakes without eggs or yeast are ready! Enjoy your tea!

Remove the seeds and core from the apples. Grate the fruits on a coarse grater; be sure to use the juice that will be released when chopping the apples.
Add kefir to the applesauce and add baking soda. Mix the three ingredients well.
Add sugar. Mix. Now you can taste the dough for sweetness; if your apple variety is too sour, then you can add 1 tbsp. l. Sahara.
Add flour, preferably sifted. Pour in small portions so that all ingredients are mixed with flour gradually, this way you can avoid lumps, which are then inconvenient to “break up”.
You will be able to knead a thick dough. The consistency, as is customary for pancakes, is thick sour cream.
Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and spoon out the pancakes. Fry on both sides over medium heat. Everything will be simple here: put a portion of the dough in hot oil, wait a few minutes, the dough is fried, does not stick, as if browned - you can turn it over and repeat the operation.

Eggless pancakes made with kefir are fluffy. Fluffy kefir pancakes without eggs
My previous attempt to make fluffy pancakes without eggs a la American pancakes was not successful (thanks to which we now have a recipe for pumpkin whey pancakes, which is a plus :).
But I didn’t give up and continued to gnaw on the cactus, in the sense of experimenting. And, you know, the folk wisdom about the inevitability of the result of long torment worked. I can now proudly say that I did them in every sense!
Who wants to know how to bake thick and fluffy American kefir pancakes without eggs? Follow me, please…
For thick and fluffy kefir pancakes we will need:
- 0.5 l. kefir;
- 2 cups of flour;
- 3 tsp Sahara;
- a pinch of salt;
- 1 tsp soda;
- 2.5 tsp. vegetable oil;
- honey, syrup, jam in any quantity.
First, dissolve soda, salt and sugar in kefir. This is a piece of cake for us!
Add flour to the kefir and use a regular fork to mix everything quickly so that there are no lumps. So we have the dough for fluffy kefir pancakes. Somehow everything is suspiciously easy and simple, right?
There is no need to wait for a catch, there won’t be one. Everything is actually very simple. Heat up the frying pan. Add vegetable oil to the dough and mix it again, after which we put the dough on the frying pan in semicircular ovals (semi-oval circles?) - in the shape of large pancakes, in general.
Cover the pan with a lid and fry the pancakes over low heat until the surface of each pancake stops spreading. And as soon as it stops, we turn our pancakes over. You can already see how lush, thick and beautiful they are.
We continue in the same spirit. The dough is getting smaller and smaller, and the stack of fluffy pancakes is getting higher and higher...
The most wonderful thing is that these pancakes themselves are not at all sweet, which means you can top them with honey, syrup, jam or condensed milk, and then imagine how, on an early summer morning, a waitress at an American diner puts a plate of pancakes in front of you and says: Enjoy! That is, bon appetit!
Lush pancakes without eggs - 7 best recipes for delicious pancakes
Hello, dear readers! Today I want to talk about how to make the impossible possible, that is, bake pancakes without eggs.
The fact that a dish can be made without the main ingredient was revealed to me by accident. When I wanted to please my loved ones with tasty treats, there were no eggs in the house.
I was too lazy to go to the store, so I decided to prepare the dish without them. I really liked it, the result exceeded my expectations.
The dough turns out thick, and if you knead it with fermented milk products, it becomes porous. If you're worried about the pancakes falling apart, add a banana or applesauce to bind.
To make them fluffy, use sour milk and soda, or make yeast pancakes. You can bake the pancakes in a dry frying pan (this way they won’t turn out too greasy), preferably over low heat, covered with a lid.
Otherwise, eggless baking is no different from regular baking. The delicacy can be made using any type of flour, gluten-free, with additions in the form of fruits, berries, and vegetables. They can be served with honey, jam, condensed milk or sour cream, washed down with strong tea, milk, juice. And thanks to the absence of eggs, they remain soft even the next day.
A proven recipe for unusually fluffy delicacies, obtained through repeated experiments. They turn out very tasty and tender. I also want to reveal a few secrets that will help you in the cooking process.
Required Products:
- 160 g flour;
- 200 ml kefir;
- 1 tsp sugar (without a slide);
- 0.5 tsp soda;
- 1/3 tsp. salt;
- vegetable oil.
How to do:
1. Pour kefir into a container, add soda and sugar. Add flour little by little, mixing the dough well each time.
