We will need:

  • minced pork or beef - 500 gr.
  • cabbage - 450 gr.
  • round rice - 0.5 cups
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • onion - 2 pcs.
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • spices to taste
  • sour cream for serving
  • greens for serving
  • tomato paste 2-3 tbsp. l.
  • water - 1 tbsp.

Cooking steps

1. Wash the cabbage and remove the lower leaves. Finely chop and pour boiling water over it. Let stand for 15-20 minutes.

2. Wash the rice several times and boil in salted water until tender.

3. If you prepare minced meat at home, grind the meat and onions in a meat grinder. If the minced meat is already ready, then add the egg and spices to it and mix well. Then add the rice and some of the cabbage and mix the minced meat well.

4. Do the frying. We clean and wash the onions and carrots. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots.

5. Fry the onion in vegetable oil, then add the carrots and simmer slightly. Add tomato paste and water. If desired, you can add a little salt and pepper. I sometimes add sugar.

6. Grease a baking tray or baking dish with oil and place some of the sauce on the bottom.

7. Make small cutlets from minced meat. We put them in the form.

8. Pour tomato sauce over the future cabbage rolls and bake for 40-60 minutes at a temperature of 200-220 degrees.

2. Finely chop the cabbage and knead well with your hands. Let sit for 15 minutes and knead again. Add grated carrots to the cabbage and mix well.

3. Mix the minced meat with chopped onion and chicken egg. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix well. In a deep bowl, mix: minced meat, cabbage and rice.

4. Combine tomato paste, milk and 500 ml of boiled water in a saucepan. Mix everything well until the tomato paste is completely dissolved. Bring the resulting mixture to a boil.

5. Form lazy cabbage rolls of any shape, roll in flour and drop into boiling sauce. After the contents of the pan boil again, add salt and pepper to taste, reduce heat and simmer for 40 minutes. 10 minutes before readiness, add the greens.
