Chicken rolls

A very tasty version of rolls with chicken filling, more satisfying than with fish. My eldest son introduced chicken rolls to our family menu, and we really liked them. Following him, I mastered this filling. Sometimes I boil chicken breast, sometimes I fry it.

My daughter doesn’t like fish yet, so this is a favorite option for her! And I like it better that she will eat something more filling than just cucumber rolls.

Ingredients:

  • Sushi rice – 1 cup
  • Chicken breast fillet – 1-1.5 pcs.
  • Curd cheese – 100-150 g
  • Nori – 4 sheets
  • Cucumber – 1 pc.

Step-by-step recipe with photos:

Rinse the rice for sushi and rolls thoroughly in cold water, or rather, in several waters. Fill with fresh cold water in a ratio of 1 part rice: 1.25 parts water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for exactly 14 minutes without opening the lid! Add salt, sugar and rice vinegar to the finished rice to taste, sometimes I don’t add any of this and it’s fine...

Let the rice cool until warm.

Rub the chicken breast fillet with salt and spices to taste, here - olive oil, a little salt and chicken curry. Fry the chicken until cooked: for the first minutes over high heat, and then over medium heat to make it more juicy.

Prepare chicken rolls as usual. Place a portion of rice on the matte surface of a sheet of nori (whole, cut into 2/3 or cut in half). I like to use a whole sheet of nori, spread the rice about halfway, and roll the nori around the filling in two layers.

Place the filling lengthwise: cheese, chicken and cucumber.

Roll the roll using a makis, a suitable mat or... other available materials (towel, food bag, baking paper, etc.).

I will be happy to show you the rolls that my son Vsevolod made on the occasion of our meeting. He lives separately, comes to visit and sometimes spoils us with his cooking. It’s always big: to eat to the fullest, to treat someone, to take away, to take with you...

Cooking procedure

Preparing the ingredients

The rice is thoroughly washed, then boiled and settled. Next, the paprika is washed, wiped and cut into 4 parts. Then, you need to take one quarter and cut it lengthwise to make oblong pieces. 4 feathers are cut off from the onion. Chicken fillet is cut into small strips approximately 6 cm long.

Preparing the sauce

Now we will prepare the sauce with which we will season the chicken rolls. To do this, mix 2 teaspoons of rice vinegar, 1 spoon of sugar and 1 spoon of salt. The sauce we made is perfect for moistening the rolls themselves and their ingredients.

Wrapping our chicken rolls

Since everything is ready, let's start putting the ingredients into the chicken rolls. To do this, take a sushi mat and cover it with cling film; place a sheet of nori on top, which is turned shiny side down. Then, we begin to lay a layer of rice on the sheet so that the nori is slightly visible through the layer of rice. There should be a distance from the edges of the sheet of approximately 1.5-2 cm.

After this, we sprinkle the rice with sesame seeds (the quantity is at your discretion), and turn the nori sheet over to the other side. On this side we place pieces of chicken, which must first be greased with soy sauce. After this, onions and paprika are laid out in the middle of the nori sheet. All that remains is to roll the rolls and cut them into equal pieces, after which you can serve them. As you can see, it’s quite easy to prepare chicken rolls, the recipe for which we reviewed today.

Sushi with chicken

Chicken sushi is a mixture of crispy cucumber and sticky chicken with soft avocado. This is a great alternative to fish. Delicious, delicious! It takes a little fiddling, especially for those who are making sushi for the first time!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast – 1 piece
  • Sesame oil - To taste
  • Olive oil - To taste
  • Boiled rice for sushi – 200 grams
  • Avocado – 1/2 piece
  • Cucumber – 1 piece

Number of servings: 3-4

How to cook Sushi with Chicken

Fry the chicken in a mixture of olive and sesame oil. Place polyethylene on the bamboo, rice on it, cover with a sheet of nori. Place two long pieces of chicken and cucumbers on the sheet. Roll the sushi using bamboo. Peel and cut the avocado. Place the avocado on top of the sushi and press down with cling film. Place the sliced ​​sushi on a plate, pour over the sticky teriyaki sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Recipe for Baked Chicken Rolls:

Ingredients:

  • Rice (200 ml) - 1 cup.
  • Vinegar (white wine) - 3.5 tbsp. l.
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Salt - 1/2 tbsp. l.
  • Chicken breast (fillet) - 1/2 pcs
  • Cucumber - 1 pc.
  • Bell pepper - 1 piece
  • Hard cheese - 50 g
  • Mayonnaise - 4 tbsp. l.
  • Sesame (black) - 1 tsp.
  • Seasoning (MAGGI for the main course for tender chicken breast fillet “With garlic and herbs”) - 1 pc.
  • Nori - 3 pcs.

Fry the chicken fillet on a Maggi sheet.

Cut the fillet into thin long strips.

Chop the cucumber and pepper in the same way.

Boil the rice. Mix vinegar, sugar and salt. Season the rice with this sauce and mix.

Place rice on a sheet of nori, chicken, cucumber and pepper on top. Roll up the roll.

Using a wet knife, cut the roll into portions.

Mix cheese, black sesame and mayonnaise. I can't stand mayonnaise, so I used sour cream. With mayonnaise, the cap turns out higher and spreads less.

Spread the mixture onto the rolls and place in a hot oven for 10 minutes.

These are the golden rolls we got.

Serve the rolls with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger. Bon appetit!

Homemade chicken rolls

Rolls at home can be prepared not only with seafood, but also with chicken. Rolls with chicken, cucumber and cheese are very tasty and filling. The cucumber can be fresh or pickled. To prepare these rolls, it is better to use chicken breast. My family appreciated the taste of these rolls, and I’m sure you will like them too.

Ingredients

To prepare chicken rolls at home you will need: sushi rice - 100 g; rice vinegar - 1-2 tbsp. l. (optional); chicken breast - 1 piece; soy sauce - 50 ml; fresh cucumber (you can also take pickled cucumber) - 1 piece; nori sheets; cream cheese - 100 g. For serving: soy sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger.

Cooking steps

First, rinse the rice well and place it in a saucepan. Pour water in a ratio of 1:2 (1 part rice and two parts water).

Place the pan on the fire and bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low and cook the rice under the lid until the liquid has completely evaporated (as a rule, sushi rice is cooked for 15-20 minutes). Once the water has evaporated, remove the rice from the heat and, if desired, add a couple of tablespoons of rice vinegar. Mix the rice well and cool completely, covering the pan with a towel.


Cut the chicken breast into medium pieces, pour in 50 ml of soy sauce and leave for 1 hour.


Heat the frying pan well, add the breast and fry on both sides over medium heat until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes from each frying pan). I fried the breast without adding oil. Cool the fried chicken pieces completely.


Prepare food, wash fresh cucumber.


Cut the cucumber into long pieces.


Cut the breast into long pieces.


I prepared the rolls on a whole sheet of nori. The rolls were well wrapped and not small. Place a sheet of nori on the prepared mat, shiny side down. Evenly distribute a small amount of rice onto 2/3 of the nori sheet, leaving 1/3 of the nori sheet free (as in the photo).


Then lay out the cucumber block.


Next add a block of chicken breast.


Then add curd cheese. For convenience, I put the cheese in a pastry bag and then squeeze the cheese into an even sausage.


Wrap the filling tightly in the nori sheet, starting from the edge of the nori sheet with the rice. Lubricate the edge of the nori sheet on which the rice was not laid with some water; it will stick together well and tightly, so the roll with chicken, cucumber and cheese will turn out dense and beautiful.


Cut the finished roll into 6 or 8 pieces with a sharp knife. Form all the rolls in this way. From the specified amount of ingredients I got 24 rolls. Very tasty, appetizing and quite filling chicken rolls, prepared at home, served with soy sauce, ginger and wassabi.

How to prepare chicken Caesar rolls at home step by step

Fans of Japanese cuisine will definitely appreciate this recipe for homemade baked Caesar rolls. For baking, we will also prepare the simplest and most popular sauce. With him, the oriental treat will be one-on-one, like from a sushi master.

  1. First, let's make the sauce for baking the rolls. Mix mayonnaise with capelin caviar and leave to stand for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Let's prepare the ingredients. Cut the chicken into cubes 7 mm thick and 5-6 cm long. Shred the iceberg lettuce into strips. Take a tomato slice, remove the juicy pulp with seeds, and cut the fleshy part into strips.
  3. We make rolls. We lay half a sheet of nori on the mat, and lay rice on top of it, carefully distributing it over the entire surface of the seaweed and so that on one long edge the rice extends beyond the nori by 2 cm, and on the other edge the seaweed sheet is exposed to the same distance.
  4. Now we turn the nori over onto the mat and start filling the rolls.
  5. Squeeze a strip of cream cheese from a pastry bag down the center of the sheet. Place chicken strips, lettuce and tomato strips nearby. The total amount of filling for rolls should not exceed 80 g.
  6. We roll the rolls using a mat, pressing and compacting them, giving them the desired square shape.
  7. Roll the resulting roll in panko breadcrumbs, and then cut it into 8 equal pieces: first in half, then put two halves side by side and cut them in half again, and after that each quarter into 2 more parts. This way the rolls will definitely be even and uniform. When slicing, the knife must be moistened with water.
  8. Place the rolls cut side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. From a pastry bag with a shaped nozzle, squeeze the baking sauce onto each roll using a beautiful cap.
  9. Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven (200°C) for 5-7 minutes.

Serve the baked rolls with pickled ginger, soy sauce and wasabi.
