It’s not even worth mentioning that nothing can be better than homemade baked goods. And there’s definitely nothing better than homemade bread! Fragrant, with an airy crumb and a crispy crust! Today we are baking quick bread that will take you a little over an hour.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • Wheat flour - 320 g
  • Water – 210 ml
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • Sugar - 1 tsp.
  • Refined sunflower oil - 2 tbsp.
  • Dry yeast - 1 tsp.

For coating:

  • Milk - 2 tbsp.

Sift the flour, add yeast, salt, sugar. Pour in warm water (it should be no more than 40 degrees, ideally 37-38 degrees) and sunflower oil.

Knead soft elastic dough. Touch your earlobe - the dough should be the same. If you knead with your hands, an indication that the dough has been kneaded well is that it comes off well from your hands. If you knead in a food processor, the bowl should be clean. You may need a little more or less flour: flour comes in different varieties. But try not to add excess flour; it is better to grease your hands with sunflower oil and knead. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with cling film and place in a warm place for 20-30 minutes.

Knead it and form a loaf. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Parchment is great! Firstly, nothing will ever stick, and secondly, there is no need to wash the baking sheet :)))

Cover the dough with a towel and leave for another 10-15 minutes.

Brush the bread with milk or water. I lubricated it with milk. Sprinkle with flour and make oblique shallow cuts with a sharp knife.

Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Be guided by your oven. When lightly tapping the finished bread, a dull sound will be heard.

The bread is ready. Be sure to immediately remove it from the parchment, otherwise it will become damp underneath. Cool completely on a wire rack.

So, to prepare 1 loaf of bread we need to prepare the following;

  • dry yeast - 2 teaspoons. There are rumors that dry yeast is harmful. It is worth noting that yeast spores die at a temperature of +70 degrees. And the temperature in the center of the bun reaches +98 degrees;
  • sugar - 4 teaspoons. If you put more, it will become a muffin;
  • flour - 525 g. The weight should be as accurate as possible. We recommend choosing a measuring glass. If there is more flour, the bread will be dry. If you add less flour, the bread will fall apart;
  • salt - 1 teaspoon, preferably with a slide;
  • warm water - 500 ml. Maybe not boiled. The dosage, as in the case of flour, must be accurate. If instead of water, or half of the water, you add milk and more sugar (to taste), you will get rich bread;
  • plastic bowl - the size must be selected taking into account that the dough will increase 3-4 times;
  • wooden spatula - use it to knead the dough. The edges of the blade should be rounded. This is necessary so that the shoulder blade is in full contact with the walls of the basin. Then the basin will be cleaner;
  • shape - should be aluminum, with thick walls. If there is no such form, you can use a frying pan. The main thing is that the walls are thick. Otherwise the bread will burn;
  • and the last thing we need is an oven. It should have a timer.
