Potatoes with meat

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 pcs. medium potatoes;
  • 300 gr. pork or any other meat;
  • 100 gr. cheese;
  • 1 onion;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • spices, herbs, salt, pepper;
  • 10 gr. sunflower oil.

Preparation:

Peel the potatoes, wash them, cut them into slices, cut the pork into small pieces. Finely chop the onion, garlic, herbs. Grate the cheese. Grease the bottom of a deep glass plate with sunflower oil, lay out alternating layers: potatoes, meat, onions. Top with salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle with spices, herbs and grated cheese. Microwave for 20 or 30 minutes, depending on the thickness of the cut ingredients.

Stewed potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 300 gr. potatoes;
  • 300 gr. meat;
  • 100 gr. broth;
  • 1 onion;
  • salt, pepper to taste.

Preparation:

Potatoes and meat should be cut into cubes, and the onion should be finely chopped into half rings.

Place meat and potatoes at the bottom of a deep container. Pour in the broth so that it does not completely cover the potatoes. Add onion, salt, pepper, and optional herbs and place in the microwave for 20-30 minutes. These potatoes in the microwave taste like stewed potatoes in pots.

Potatoes with cheese

If you don't eat meat. You can make potatoes with cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 300 gr. potatoes;
  • 100 gr. cheese;

Peel the potatoes, wash them, cut them into strips and add salt. Let it stand for a while so that the starch drains a little, then put it on a flat plate, add spices, sprinkle with grated cheese and put in the microwave for 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Oat bran 1/4 cup
  • Oatmeal 2 tbsp. l.
  • Buckwheat 2 tbsp. l.
  • Ground flax seeds 1 tbsp. l.
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp.
  • A pinch of salt
  • Cinnamon 1/4 tsp.
  • Honey 2 tbsp. l.
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Strawberries 1/2 cup

Cooking method:

  1. Mix oat bran, oat flour, buckwheat, flaxseed, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

  • milk – 1 glass;

  • Place a small piece of butter in a special container for microwave ovens, pour in the cereal and pour in milk.

  • Soda 1/4 tsp.

  • Eggs 1 pc.
  • Honey 3 tbsp. l.
  • Any nut 2 tbsp. l.
  • Chopped chocolate 1 tbsp. l.

Cooking method:

  1. Mix flour, baking soda and salt in a mug.
  2. Add egg and honey. Stir with a fork.
  3. Add nuts and chopped chocolate. Mix everything well again.

Who would have thought that soft, delicate, aromatic manna, a favorite since childhood, can easily be prepared in the microwave.

Ingredients:

  • semolina – 0.5 cups;
  • wheat flour – 160 g;
  • granulated sugar – 230 g;
  • kefir – 125 ml;
  • egg – 1 pc.;
  • butter – 70 g;
  • baking powder – 1 tsp;

Cooking method:

  • Pour the fermented milk product into a bowl, pour in the semolina, mix and leave for 20 minutes for the cereal to swell.

  • Add sugar, butter and egg. A little vanilla will help make the cake more flavorful.

  • Stir the mixture until smooth, and immediately add flour and baking powder.

  • The manna dough is almost ready, all that remains is to mix it well.

  • Then we transfer the mixture into a mold intended for microwave ovens (silicone is suitable) and put the manna in the microwave.

  • The required power of the device is 800 W, cooking time is 5-6 minutes.

  • Cinnamon pinch
  • Honey to taste
  • Whipped cream to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the bread into cubes.
  2. Grease the cup with oil and microwave for a few seconds.
  3. Place the bread in a cup.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk and cinnamon.
  5. Pour over the bread. Leave for 5 minutes.
  6. Microwave on high power for one minute. Then check the toast and continue cooking until desired doneness (no more than a couple of minutes). Turn on the Even Heat function, which will allow you to bake the top of the pie and make it crispy, but still keep the toast tender inside.

Sterilization of jars

During the harvesting season, you have to sterilize a lot of jars. The safety of the products will depend on whether the container for the contents of the jars is sterile. Sterilization kills not only microbes, but also spores of some microbes. Some people sterilize jars over steam, while others fry them in the oven.

Recently I was told another way to sterilize jars - in the microwave. To do this, the jars, thoroughly washed with soda or detergent, are placed in the microwave for 5-7 minutes at maximum power. From my experience, I will add that every 2 minutes, stop the oven (you can simply open the door slightly) for a few seconds so that the cans do not crack.

Restoring the freshness of bread or pastries

Sometimes we can buy too much bread and then it goes stale. It happens that you baked pies, but you couldn’t eat them right away. Well, don’t throw it away... Don’t be upset! A microwave can solve the problem.

Wrap stale bread or pastries in a paper towel and microwave at full power for one minute. Bread or pastries will become like fresh again.

Roasting seeds or nuts

Agree that raw sunflower seeds or nuts, such as peanuts, are not very convenient to eat: their skins are difficult to separate. And this problem can be solved.

Place seeds or nuts in a microwave-safe container. Turn the oven on full power for 5-7 minutes. During this time, open the door 1-2 times and stir the seeds or nuts. Readiness can also be determined by the characteristic crackling sound. Then remove them from the oven and leave until completely cool. That's it, such seeds are pleasantly peeled, and the nuts are easily peeled from the pink (brown) film and will have a pleasant taste.

Preparation of dried zest

For baking or other culinary delights, you can use pre-prepared dried lemon, orange or grapefruit zest. Place peeled citrus peels on a paper towel and heat at full power for two minutes, stirring occasionally.

After this, take out the dried zest, let it cool; once cooled, it becomes dry and brittle. Dry zest should be stored in a tightly sealed container - this way it will not lose its flavor and will remain dry.

Refreshing the aroma of spices and seasonings

If seasonings and spices have lost their aroma during storage or acquired a slightly unusual odor, they can be refreshed.

To do this, place them on a paper towel or microwave-safe dish, turn the oven on full power and heat the spices for half a minute. Remove, let cool slightly and store in a tightly closed container.

Chicken in beer with rice and chili

If you use the microwave oven wisely, you can cook in it not only hot sandwiches with melted cheese, but also full-fledged, tasty dishes. Ingredients (for 2 servings):

  • 3 chicken thighs
  • 1 ½ glasses dark beer
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 chili pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup rice (regular white is fine)
  • Handful of fresh parsley or cilantro, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Separate the chicken thighs from the bones, remove the skin, cut into small cubes, and rub with garlic.
  2. Place the pieces in a 1.5–2 liter microwave dish, add rice, onion, chili, and pour in beer. Mix everything. Season with salt and pepper, cover with a lid and place in the oven for 20 minutes at full power.
  3. After finishing the microwave session, leave the dish covered for at least another 10 minutes.

Julienne with chicken and mushrooms

  • 200 g chicken breast fillet
  • 200 g champignons (or porcini mushrooms)
  • 4 tbsp. l. grated Parmesan (or other hard cheese)

  • 2 tsp. curry powder
  • 2 tsp. dill, finely chopped
  • 1 glass of water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the chicken into small strips, place in a deep 500 ml mold, fill with water. Cover with a lid and microwave for 10 minutes at full power.
  2. Wash and peel the mushrooms well, cut into small cubes. Throw them into the chicken, cover with a lid and turn on the oven for another 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare the sauce. Mix cream, mayonnaise, herbs in a bowl. Salt and pepper, add curry.
  4. After the chicken and mushrooms finish rotating in the oven, remove the pan and drain the resulting liquid. Pour in the sauce, sprinkle with cheese and place everything in the oven for another 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the julienne from the oven and let it sit for 10 minutes before eating.

Cheese soup

Don't have a gas stove at hand? This is not a reason to give up healthy food. Below are instructions for preparing soup in a microwave oven. Ingredients (for 2 servings):

  • 2 finely chopped potatoes
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 100 g processed cheese, finely grated
  • 150 ml cream (heat in advance)
  • 1/2 stalk of celery, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. l. parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 glasses of water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Place the vegetables in a 1.5–2 liter container, add water, add celery, salt and pepper. Cover with a lid. Microwave on high for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Add cheese to the container, pour in cream and mix everything. Start the oven on medium power and cook for another 10 minutes until the cheese is completely melted. Mix everything well.
  3. Let it brew for 10 minutes, pour into plates and sprinkle with herbs.

Millet porridge with cottage cheese

How to quickly prepare nutritious porridge in a microwave oven?

Ingredients (for 2 servings):

  • 150 g millet, soaked in the evening
  • ½ glass of milk
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 2 tsp. granulated sugar
  • A pinch of salt

Cooking method:

1. Pour the millet into a deep 500 ml microwave oven dish. Pour water into it, cover with a lid and place in the microwave for 6 minutes, turning on maximum power.

2. Drain the water from the millet and pour milk instead. Season with salt and pepper. Return the pan to the oven and run it on full power for 3 minutes.

3. Add cottage cheese, mix everything and heat for another 3 minutes at medium power.

4. Let the porridge brew under the lid for 10 minutes.

Cabbage leaves for cabbage rolls

Many people love cabbage rolls. But many people don’t like to tinker with cabbage leaves because it takes a long time to boil the leaves in boiling water and you can easily get burned by the boiling water. Here's a quick way to prepare cabbage leaves for cabbage rolls.

We take a small head of cabbage (so that it fits in the microwave), peel it from the top leaves and stalk, make cuts with a knife near the stalk to make it easier to remove the leaves later.
