Recipe for Turkey Meatballs on the Grill:

To prepare meatballs on skewers, I will use TM INDILIGHT turkey mince. We will get completely dietary meatballs that are suitable for both children and those who adhere to a diet with a minimum of fat.

Place the minced meat in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix the minced meat thoroughly (preferably with your hands). Finely chop the onion, garlic too (you can squeeze it out), grate the potatoes and put everything into minced meat. Potatoes contain starch and it will prevent the meatballs from falling apart. We don't need the egg! Again, mix everything thoroughly. Place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the minced meat to ripen, or longer. You can make minced meat at home and by the time you get to the countryside, it will ripen and the meatballs will be tastier and juicier.

Roll the minced meat into balls. There is no need to make large ones, otherwise they will fly off the skewers. The optimal ball size is the size of a large walnut. From this amount of minced meat I got 15 meatballs. We prepare skewers, cherry tomatoes (I chose a larger one, about the size of a meatball) and red onion, which needs to be cut into rings without separating them, about 0.4-0.5 cm wide. The onion also needs to be selected in size so that it matches the meatballs. Place all ingredients on skewers, alternating. Place on a wire rack. It is necessary that the skewers are hanging on the racks. You can, of course, put it in, just grease the grate, otherwise the meatballs will stick. Place on the grill and bake for 20-30 minutes. If you make these meatballs in the oven under the grill, then place the tray down, juice and fat will drip. The meatballs are ready.

Let's serve!

Light, tender, aromatic and very juicy, and this is because we add raw grated potatoes to the minced meat. Heartwarming!

Thanks to ready-made minced turkey TM INDILIGHT, when you come to a picnic, you will very quickly cover the clearing! You will have very tasty food and less calorie, which is what you need on a picnic in nature!

PS: If you don’t have metal skewers, you can replace them with wooden ones by first soaking them in water.

Gravy for children 1 year and older is the best source of all the proteins and vitamins necessary for a growing body. The variety of recipes allows caring mothers to choose the most suitable recipe for their child, taking into account his taste preferences, the presence of allergic reactions to a particular product, etc. In addition, this is an excellent option for preparing a nutritional supplement that enhances the taste of side dishes such as porridge , pasta, puree. After all, not every child, even at such an early age, has the desire to eat ordinary porridge with butter.

The body of a one-year-old child already produces the same enzymes as an adult, but in smaller quantities. Therefore, the question of how and what to prepare gravy for children should be treated with special responsibility. It is not recommended to fry the ingredients in a lot of oil, add a lot of spices and use fatty meat and fish.

Based on preparation methods, gravy for children can be divided into four types:

To make gravy in the form of a sauce, you should add a little sour cream, cream or flour to add thickness, which is not very suitable for children aged 1 year; a similar recipe is more suitable for children over 2 years old. At the same age, you can introduce gravy from cutlets if the child does not eat cutlets.

Hedgehog meatballs with rice

Recipe 5, step by step: fish meatballs in sauce in the oven

Fish meatballs in tomato sauce are a light and nutritious dish that is ideal for dinner. The meatballs are baked in the oven without pre-frying, so they do not contain a lot of oil and, accordingly, extra calories. It is best to serve them with potatoes, rice or other cereals as a side dish. In combination with aromatic tomato sauce, dinner turns out very tasty and satisfying.

  • fish fillet (cod, hake, sole, pike) 1 kg
  • white bread (preferably yesterday's bread) a few slices
  • onions 2 pcs. medium size
  • 3 large cloves garlic
  • large carrots 1 pc.
  • chicken egg 1 pc.
  • pasteurized milk 400 ml
  • odorless vegetable oil 4 tbsp. l.
  • tomato juice 250 ml
  • parsley sprig for decoration
  • ground black pepper 0.5 tsp.
  • ground paprika 0.5 tsp.
  • ground ginger pinch
  • fish seasoning mixture 0.5 tsp.
  • fine salt 1 tsp.

First, pour milk over the bread so that it soaks and becomes soft. It is better to use day-old white bread or baguette. If the bread has rough crusts, you can trim them off first. According to the recipe, slices of bread can also be filled with ordinary purified water at room temperature.

While the bread is soaking in milk, let's start with the fish. For this recipe, I used pre-thawed pangasius fillets. Delicious and tender fish meatballs in tomato sauce can, of course, be prepared from other types of fish, for example, hake, sole, whiting, cod, pollock, catfish, pike perch, pike or pink salmon. First defrost the fish at room temperature. Wash the fillet thoroughly and dry it with paper towels. Cut the fish into small pieces to make it easier to chop. Pass the fillet through a meat grinder with medium-sized holes.

Carefully squeeze out excess liquid from the bread. We also grind it using a manual meat grinder and add it to the fish fillet, as required by the recipe.

Let's peel one onion. Wash it in cold running water and cut it into 6 parts. Pass the onion pieces through a meat grinder and add to the rest of the ingredients.

According to the recipe, beat one egg into the resulting mixture. It will help hold the meatballs together so they will keep their shape.

Peel the garlic cloves and pass them through a press specially designed for this purpose. Add it to the minced meat to make the dish aromatic.

Next, salt the minced meat. For a more piquant taste and aroma, add ground paprika, black pepper, and a little ginger. I also used a ready-made fish seasoning mix for this recipe. It contains ground coriander, thyme, parsley and dried leeks. You can use other spices that go well with the fish.

Mix all the ingredients for the minced fish thoroughly until it is homogeneous. Let's leave it for 15 minutes to let it brew.

At this time, prepare the sauce. Let's peel the second onion. Let's cut it into small cubes.

Wash and peel the carrots. According to the recipe, grate it on a coarse grater.

Pour a few tablespoons of clarified oil into the frying pan. Place chopped onions and grated carrots in it. We will saute the vegetables over medium heat until they turn golden and become soft. We will periodically stir the onions and carrots so that they cook evenly.

Then pour natural tomato juice over the vegetables. If you don't have juice, you can dilute 3 large tablespoons of tomato paste with hot filtered water and add the mixture to the vegetables.

Lightly salt the vegetables and add black pepper for spiciness.

Bring the tomato sauce to a boil. Cover the pan with a lid and reduce the heat slightly. We will simmer the aromatic sauce for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat, as indicated in the recipe.

From the finished minced meat we will form small round meatballs with a diameter of 5-6 centimeters. To make it more convenient to work, we will wet our hands in cold water. Place the fish meatballs in a heatproof baking dish. It is better to use a wide mold with a large diameter (30-35 centimeters) so that the meatballs lie in it in one layer.

Now carefully pour the hot tomato sauce over the meatballs. It is advisable that it covers the meatballs completely. Cover the baking dish with a lid or foil.

Place the pan with the meatballs on a medium level in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. We will bake the dish for 30-35 minutes until done.

Garnish the finished dish with a sprig of parsley and serve hot with a side dish of long-grain rice or potatoes.

    Gravy intended for children over 1 year of age - recipes and preparation methods

    Not all children a year know how to chew food, especially when it comes to meat, so mothers give gravies the appearance of a sauce or try to prepare them based on meat broth from chicken or turkey, adding them to the side dish. After one and a half years, you can already introduce meatballs in gravy, gravy from cutlets, and poultry cutlets themselves (chicken and turkey) into the diet. The side dish can be anything: pasta, buckwheat or rice porridge, mashed potatoes.

    Recipe for gravy with poultry broth. In order to prepare this dish for children aged 1 year, you will need:

    Fry the flour in a hot frying pan until golden brown; it will be needed to thicken the sauce. Pour chicken or turkey broth into the fried flour and boil for a few minutes. If small flour lumps have formed, then strain the yushka through a fine sieve, add milk to the strained broth, add salt, and cook it all over low heat for half an hour. This creamy meat gravy can be added to pasta, cereals and purees.

    Meatballs with gravy. This recipe is perfect for children who are already good at chewing food on their own, over the age of one and a half years. To prepare the meatballs, you will need the following ingredients:

    To make the gravy, you need the following ingredients: a tablespoon of flour and sour cream, 2 tbsp. l. tomato juice, laurel leaf, and 300 ml of water.

    Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs together and mix thoroughly, add salt, form round meatballs, place on a hot frying pan in dense rows and fry for three minutes on each side.

    Once the meatballs are fried, it's time to make the gravy. To do this, you need to pour boiled water (200 ml) over the meatballs, then dilute tomato paste, sour cream and flour in the remaining 100 ml of water until smooth, pour into the stewing meatballs, add a bay leaf.

    Pasta and mashed potatoes are suitable as a side dish, but meatballs and gravy do not go well with porridge, because this recipe includes rice. The same recipe can also be used with minced beef if the child is not allergic to it.

    Beef or poultry cutlets with gravy. This recipe will definitely be loved by children aged 1-2 years and older. To prepare you will need:

    • 1 kg of beef, turkey or chicken;
    • 200 grams of onions;
    • 1 clove of garlic;
    • salt to taste;
    • 2 tbsp. l. semolina;
    • half a glass of hot boiled water.

    Gravy for cutlets: 2 tablespoons flour, ½ tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. l. sour cream, 2 cups boiling water.

    Cooking begins by grinding chicken, turkey or beef tenderloin, onion and garlic in a meat grinder. For better grinding, you should run the minced meat through a meat grinder twice. You need to add salt to the cooked minced meat. Then pour hot water over the semolina and let it swell, then add it to the minced meat.

    The next stage is frying, for this you need to pour a little sunflower oil into a hot frying pan and lay out the tightly formed cutlets. Fry them for 5-6 minutes on each side and after cooking transfer them to a pan.

    Preparing gravy for cutlets does not take much time. Add flour to the remaining oil in the pan and mix well, add sour cream and water, then mix thoroughly again and bring to an active boil. The prepared yushka should be poured into the cutlets and simmered over low heat for 10 minutes.

    An excellent side dish for the gravy from the cutlets and the cutlets themselves would be mashed potatoes, pasta, vegetables - this is a universal recipe that can be combined with any other products.

    If the child does not have an appetite, or he simply does not like cutlets, then you can use only gravy as a sauce, making the second dish tastier and more nutritious. There is little useful in the gravy from cutlets, but any dish with such a sauce will be tastier and more appetizing.

    Also for children aged 1 year, gravy made from classic beef, chicken, and turkey goulash is suitable. Even children aged 2 years and older will love the recipe for meatballs and pork cutlets. Mushroom gravies will be healthy for babies, and at 1 year of age, meat sauces should be alternated with vegetable ones in order to fully nourish the child’s body with protein and nutrients, as well as enhance the taste of side dishes such as pasta and porridge.

    Preparation

    1. Rinse the turkey breast in water and cut off all the flesh and skin. Peel the onion, rinse in water, and soak the slices of white bread in milk if possible, and if not, then in plain water and squeeze.

    2. Pass the cut turkey flesh, chopped onion and squeezed bread through a meat grinder, placing a large-mesh grid on it. After this, salt and pepper the minced meat to taste, add a chicken egg to it and mix.

    3. Peel the peppers from seeds, tomatoes from green cuttings, cut them into slices and also pass through a meat grinder into another container, creating a vegetable puree.

    4. Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan and heat it by placing the frying pan on the stove. Use your hands to form small meatballs from the minced meat and place them in the oil, frying on each side for 2 minutes until golden brown.

    5. Once the meatballs are fried, add vegetable puree to the pan, salt it and cover the pan with a lid. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes - during this time the meatballs will steam and soak in vegetable juice.

    6. Serve the finished dish directly in the frying pan, if you do not combine it with a side dish, or place the meatballs on boiled pasta, mashed potatoes, etc., sprinkled with chopped, washed herbs.
