Chocolate mousse. Step-by-step recipe with photos

Chocolate mousse - general principles of preparation

Chocolate mousse is an easy-to-prepare dessert, which at the same time can be a wonderful decoration for a holiday table. The name of the treat speaks for itself - the main ingredient here is chocolate. You can take classic dark chocolate for a more tart taste; lovers of more delicate and sweet desserts will like milk chocolate. The most important thing is that it is really chocolate, and not a sweet confectionery bar. Next you will need eggs (although there are recipes for chocolate mousse without them), powdered sugar (to taste) and butter. Sometimes the dessert is prepared without butter, but with the addition of heavy cream. The principle of preparation is as follows: the chocolate is softened in a water bath, cooled and mixed with powder, whipped yolks, whites and cream. If butter is used, it is immediately softened along with the chocolate. The mass is laid out in molds and sent to cool.

Chocolate mousse and diet

Chocolate mousse and diet. Oddly enough, these two concepts are compatible with each other. The well-known Dukan nutrition system allows the use of such delicacies in the diet. The nutritionist even offers a recipe for preparing a light, low-calorie product.

Diet mousse is easy to make. We invite you to see this from your own experience and prepare the delicious dessert shown in the picture.

You will need to rub 250 grams of low-fat natural cottage cheese through a sieve, and then mix with this mass one raw chicken egg white, two tablespoons of vegetable cream, a teaspoon of stevia or other vegetable sweetener and one tablespoon of good quality cocoa powder. You can add vanilla or other flavoring if you wish. After this, beat another chicken egg white to a thick foam and secure it with two drops of lemon juice. Carefully stir the foam into the curd mass, and then put the mousse in a bowl and place the container in the refrigerator. Leave the product for four hours.

Decorate the completely frozen dessert with fresh berries and enjoy the amazing taste!

Chocolate mousse - preparing food and utensils
