In the same bowl we place the rice again and add milk, cinnamon stick, lemon peel and sugar. We are deleting. We cook in the microwave at maximum power for 15 minutes. We remove the container, stir and let stand for 5 minutes. Place the container back into the microwave and microwave again on full power for another 15 minutes. We take out the container. Remove cinnamon and lemon peel. We carefully remove and check it should be ready. In case the rice has not yet reached its destination, we return it to the microwave; now 30 in 30 seconds because he shouldn't miss much. The milk rice should be somewhat shiny because it will thicken as it cools. Pour into separate containers and cool.

  • Pour water into a microwave-safe container and add rice.
  • We remove and discard water.
  • The idea is to "wash" the rice and remove the starch so it is not sticky.
  • Drain the rice using a sieve.
  • In the same container, pour 2 cups of water and add rice.

We serve by adding ground cinnamon to taste it on the surface.

Sweet rice porridge with milk, just like in kindergarten

If you tried to cook the rice porridge that was given in kindergarten, but nothing worked, then use the following recipe. He reveals all the features of preparing this dish. Prepare foods:

  • rice – 200 g;
  • salt – 1 pinch;
  • water – 0.4 l;
  • milk – 0.6 l;
  • granulated sugar – 2-3 tbsp. l.

Use the recipe for making milk rice porridge:

  1. Rinse the rice several times under cold water.
  2. Then fill it completely with a glass of water and leave to swell for 1 hour.
  3. Boil water, add rice, first draining the soaking liquid.
  4. After all the water has boiled away, pour in the heated milk.
  5. Stir and add sugar and salt.
  6. Simmer the porridge on low heat for another 15 minutes. Check the consistency of the dish - if it is too thick, add a little more milk.
  7. When serving, add a little butter on top. Try adding flavor to the porridge by adding honey, syrup or jam.
