1. Wash and skin the chicken breasts. Place the chicken breasts in the pan.

2. Pour enough water into the pan to cover the chicken breasts by 2 fingers.

3. Wash and cut the lemon into slices. Peel and chop the garlic. Place a few slices of lemon in the pan, also add pepper, bay leaf, salt and garlic.

4. Bring the chicken breasts to a boil over medium heat; if you use broth in the future, skim off the foam periodically during cooking.

5. As soon as the broth begins to boil, reduce the heat to minimum, cover with a lid and cook for 8-15 minutes.

6. Check doneness using an instant-read thermometer; cooked chicken breast temperature is 73 degrees.

7. Remove the cooked chicken breast from the broth and cool it.

8. Chicken breast can be used immediately or refrigerated for 5 days. Sliced ​​breasts can be frozen and stored for about 4 months.

Cooking chicken correctly

Take a larger pan and fill it with water, about two-thirds full. Put it on fire. You need to put the chicken in boiling water, then the meat will turn out soft and tender, since the skin proteins quickly coagulate and all the juice remains inside. When you place the chicken in a pot of boiling water, the boiling will stop temporarily. After the water boils again, remove the foam from the surface, turn on low heat and cover the pan with a lid.

After fifteen minutes, salt the water, add a whole onion and carrot to it. Apart from these ingredients, you don’t need to add anything; all other spices will drown out the natural taste of chicken broth. Now cook the chicken on low heat until done. It will be ready when you can easily pierce the thickened part of the leg with a fork. The approximate cooking time for a medium-sized chicken is about an hour. Unless, of course, your chicken was bought in a store and not purchased at one of the village markets, then the cooking method changes a little.

How to cook chicken in a jar

Chicken in a can is essentially stewed chicken in the oven. Instead of a duckling pan or stewpan, use a glass jar. There are no fundamental differences, but often it is the jar that comes to the rescue if, for some reason, there is no fireproof container on hand for extinguishing. There are a few rules to follow when cooking chicken in a jar.


Cooking chicken in a jar has several nuances:

  • The jar should only be placed in a cold oven, otherwise it will burst.
  • The temperature in the oven should not exceed 180° for the same reason - the glass may not withstand it and burst.
  • It is better to take out the finished chicken when the oven has completely cooled down and the jar becomes warm or moderately hot, but not scalding.
  • There should be no paper stickers or plastic inserts on the jar itself.
  • The container does not need to be filled to the top - when stewing, the chicken meat will release juice, and if the dish is full, the juice will flow out.
  • For stewing, you can use both fillet and chicken on the bones. You can add potatoes, onions, carrots. It is convenient to pre-marinate the meat in the same jar for half an hour to an hour, and then put it in the oven. There is no need to add any water or additional fat.

  • sour cream, pepper, salt to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Prepare mashed potatoes. Add butter, milk and raw egg to it.
  2. Cut the onion into small cubes.
  3. Chop the white cabbage. Fry the vegetable along with the onion in vegetable oil.
  4. Cut the chicken meat into small pieces.
  5. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Fill it ½ full with mashed potatoes. Place chicken on top and then cabbage.
  6. The last layer will again be mashed potatoes.
  7. Grease the dish with sour cream and place in an oven preheated to 180˚C. The casserole takes 30–35 minutes to prepare.

Chicken breast with garlic and mustard sauce

Required ingredients:

  • boiled chicken breast – 2 pcs.;
  • refined vegetable oil;
  • mustard;
  • pepper, salt, garlic to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Peel the garlic and cut into thin slices.
  2. Rinse the fillets thoroughly. Make several cuts in it with a sharp knife. Insert garlic into the holes.
  3. Prepare the sauce by combining mustard, vegetable oil, salt and chicken seasonings.
  4. Brush the mustard sauce onto the chicken breast on all sides. Then wrap in foil.
  5. Place the prepared product in the multicooker bowl.
  6. Select the "baking" mode.
  7. In 50 minutes the dish will be ready. If desired, you can decorate it with fresh herbs.

How to cook an old chicken

The age of chickens that are raised for stores at the poultry farm is strictly controlled. The same cannot be said about chickens sold in markets; they may well turn out to be old. The age of a chicken is determined strictly by skin color and bone condition. An old chicken will have rough, golden-colored skin and bright yellow inner fat. The ribcage is incredibly hard, which can be seen by lightly pressing on it with your fingers.

If, by chance, you suddenly bought just such a chicken or you got it as a gift from your grandmother, do not be discouraged under any circumstances. The broth from such chicken will be incredibly tasty, transparent and fragrant. Of course, subject to the little secrets that we will now share with you.

Like the previous time, the chicken needs to be prepared, everything remains the same here. Then place the chicken in the pan first and only then fill it with cold water. Place the saucepan over high heat. Kitchen appliances can be an excellent tool for preparing such a product. But before you start cooking chicken breast, read the instructions for your electrical appliance. Often there are ready-made recipes for dishes, which indicate the exact time required for their preparation.

It will take 35-40 minutes to cook the brisket. To do this, you will need special utensils for cooking in the microwave (glass, clay, etc.). Place the fillet in it with water, salt, bay leaf, spices, and vegetables. Place in the microwave and turn on maximum power for ten minutes. After that, turn it to medium power for fifteen minutes and let the meat stand in the microwave for another ten minutes with the lid closed, and only then take it out.

IMPORTANT

: If the chicken is old and its meat is tough, then it is better to poach it in hot boiled milk with the addition of bay leaf and spices. In this case, the breast will turn out juicy, soft, tender, even in a double boiler such a dish will turn out worse than in milk.

How to cook grilled chicken

Grilled chicken at home can only be cooked if you have an oven with a grill function or a separate device. The grilled chicken is fried whole, placing the carcass on a spit and securing the sides with special forks. The spit rotates slowly, so the chicken cooks evenly. The raw carcass should be salted and peppered before frying.

Under the chicken you need to place a baking sheet or any fireproof container into which juice and fat will drip. Cooking time is about 30-40 minutes. You can serve raw vegetables and herbs as a side dish.

How to cook chicken in the oven

In the oven you can fry, stew or bake chicken in a bag or sleeve, which is very convenient. Chicken pieces are placed in a special baking bag, mixed with salt and spices and placed on a baking sheet. The prepared carcass is salted, peppered inside and out, stuffed with half-cooked cereal or a raw apple, sewn up and placed on a baking sheet.
