Friends, let’s add a delicious recipe to the main course menu - potato casserole with minced meat in the oven. The dish is easy to prepare, yet very filling and tasty, and does not require a lot of time and effort.

The principle of preparing potato casserole is simple: prepare a base of mashed potatoes, and place the filling in the middle. In our case, in the recipe we will use ready-made minced meat, which will save time in the kitchen for any housewife. But you can also use your own homemade minced meat, especially if you have it prepared in advance and in the freezer. You just need to take it out and defrost it in advance.

If you wish, you can add vegetables to the minced meat: grated potatoes or carrots, mushrooms and eggs, grated cheese and boiled cereal, thereby changing the filling, and with it the taste palette of the potato casserole.

Every housewife should know how to cook potato casserole with minced meat in the oven, because it is very tasty, satisfying, and most importantly, fast. There are different options for preparing this dish, but you should start with the classic recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g beef;
  • 1 kg of potatoes;
  • 2 onions;
  • 4 tbsp. l. butter;
  • 1 egg yolk;
  • 2 tbsp. l. semolina;
  • vegetable oil for frying;
  • salt and spices to taste.

Preparation:

  • First, peel the potato tubers, cut them into arbitrary cubes and cook in salted water. Afterwards we pound, that is, make puree, add butter, pour in the chicken yolk and mix everything well. If it turns out that there is mashed potatoes left over from yesterday's dinner, then you should use it, it will be the best option.

  • We grind the beef through a meat grinder, add finely chopped onions, as well as salt and pepper, into the minced meat, and mix.

  • Now fry the twisted meat in a frying pan. To enhance the taste, you can add rosemary, cumin, garlic, and basil. To make the filling juicy, add a little water, and so that it does not crumble, add semolina.

  • Take a baking dish, grease it with butter, sprinkle with flour or breadcrumbs. Add one part of the puree, then the meat filling and cover the minced meat with the remaining crushed potatoes.

  • Level the surface of the potato layer, make small indentations into which we pour melted butter.

  • Place the form with the contents in the oven for 15-20 minutes, temperature 200 °C.

  • Serve the finished casserole with herbs, sour cream or mushroom sauce.

On a note!

You can also use boiled meat for the filling, but it still tastes better if you use raw meat, fried with vegetables and spices.

Vegetable tandem


We suggest you consider a recipe for vegetable casserole based on various vegetables. Even those who don’t like cauliflower will enjoy it. If you wish, you can add broccoli or replace the cauliflower with it.

To prepare you will need: a small head of cauliflower, two onions each, a tomato and a young zucchini, one sweet pepper, two eggs, one carrot, 0.1 kg of cheese, herbs to taste, 0.15 kg of green beans. Also needed: 4 tbsp. sunflower oil, 0.15 kg of cream with 10% fat content, black pepper, salt and Italian herbs.

Preparation:

  1. Wash the cauliflower and divide into small florets. Cut the green beans into small pieces. Place all this in salted boiling water for 5 minutes.

  2. Drain the vegetables in a colander and let the water drain.
  3. Cut the bell pepper into quarter rings, the carrot into cubes, and the onion into half rings.

  4. Cut the tomatoes together with the peel into cubes.
  5. Pour a little oil into a frying pan and fry the onions and carrots in it. Then add the sweet pepper and simmer the entire contents for 5 minutes.
  6. Add beans, tomatoes and cabbage to the pan, season with spices, stir and simmer covered for 7 minutes.

  7. Meanwhile, wash the zucchini and cut into rings 0.5 cm thick.
  8. In a separate frying pan, fry the zucchini in oil until soft and add salt.

  9. Assemble the casserole by placing a layer of fried zucchini on a baking sheet.
  10. Spread half of the stewed vegetables evenly on top and repeat the layers again.

  11. Break the eggs into a separate container, pour in the cream and beat the contents. Pour the resulting mixture over the casserole.
  12. Grate the cheese and distribute it evenly over the surface of the casserole.

  13. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the dish for 45 minutes at 180 degrees.

Wash the greens, chop finely and sprinkle on the finished casserole before serving.

Ingredients:

  • 700 g potatoes;
  • 700 g minced meat;
  • 150 g hard cheese;
  • 1 chicken egg;
  • 100 ml sour cream;
  • 50 g butter;
  • 1 large onion;
  • 2-3 tomatoes;
  • 50 ml milk;
  • 50 g butter;
  • 2/3 cup broth;
  • 50 g dill;
  • spices for meat to taste;
  • salt and pepper to taste;
  • 2-3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.

Preparation:

  • Fill the peeled potato tubers with water, put on the fire, after boiling, add salt and cook until tender.

  • For the filling, you can use any minced meat; it turns out very tasty from lamb; you can make it from pork and beef. The main thing is not to make the meat layer in the casserole too fatty.
  • Add any spices for meat to the minced meat and mix.
  • Finely chop the onion and pour it into a frying pan with heated oil, saute until soft, and then add the minced meat, stir, break up all the meat lumps. Then add vegetable or meat broth and simmer for 10 minutes.

  • Drain the water from the finished potatoes; by the way, it can be used for frying meat if there is no broth. Add butter, add milk, beat in the egg and beat.
  • Cut the tomatoes into circles, grate the hard cheese and mix it with finely chopped dill.

  • Place the first layer of puree into the prepared pan, add the meat filling on top, and cover with potatoes. Then lay out the tomatoes and sprinkle with cheese and herbs. Place the casserole in the oven for 20 minutes, temperature 200 °C. We take out the finished dish, cover it with a towel, wait 10 minutes and serve.

Advice!

For casseroles, it is better to use varieties of potatoes that boil well. Then the puree will turn out airy and tender without adding milk. And if there is nothing extra in the puree, then the casserole will not fall apart when cutting.

Potato casserole with minced meat and mushrooms in the oven

Potato casserole with minced meat and mushrooms is a tasty and aromatic dish that even the most inexperienced housewife can prepare. The process is faster because, unlike previous recipes, there is no need to prepare mashed potatoes; the vegetable will be baked in the oven with the rest of the ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 150 g mushrooms;
  • 400 g minced meat (pork + beef);
  • 6 potato tubers;
  • 1 glass of sour cream;
  • 1 egg;
  • 1 onion;
  • 100 g hard cheese;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation:

  • Cut the peeled potato tubers into thin slices and chop the onion into half rings. Chop the mushrooms into small pieces, add them to the minced meat along with the spices, and mix.

  • Place sour cream in a bowl, add salt and pepper, pressed garlic, and also beat in an egg. Mix everything thoroughly.

  • Grate the cheese and assemble the dish. Place the first layer of potatoes in the mold, then onions, minced meat with mushrooms on top, sprinkle with cheese (half).

  • Then we put the last layer of potatoes, sprinkle it with salt and pepper, and fill everything with sour cream and garlic filling.

  • Place the dish in the oven for 50-60 minutes, temperature 180 °C.

  • 5 minutes before the casserole is ready, sprinkle the remaining cheese.

Advice!

To prevent dinner from turning out greasy, you should choose minced beef for the filling, but still, for juiciness, add a little pork or good lard.

With beans

For ¼ kg of minced meat you will need:

  • 80 g beans;
  • ½ kg potatoes;
  • bulb;
  • a couple of cloves of garlic;
  • egg;
  • 30 ml tomato paste;
  • 50 g cheese;
  • greenery.
  • Step-by-step recipe for potatoes in the oven with layers of minced meat:

    1. The legumes are soaked for two hours and boiled in salted water until fully cooked.
    2. Finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté a little.
    3. Add minced meat to the vegetables, add salt, pepper and fry for about five minutes.
    4. Place beans and pasta into the meat mixture and simmer for another 10 minutes.
    5. Place half of the potatoes, chopped into rings, onto the bottom of the greased form.
    6. Spread the minced meat evenly on top and cover with the rest of the potatoes.
    7. Beat the egg separately, combine it with chopped herbs and grated cheese. Fill in the contents of the form.
    8. The dish is prepared for 50 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.

    Potato casserole with meat (like in kindergarten)

    Potato casserole is often included in children's diets, so its taste is familiar to many from childhood. A juicy and tender dish with minced meat is baked in the oven, and the recipe immediately combines a side dish and a main dish.

    Ingredients:

    • 700 g potatoes;
    • 400 g beef;
    • 100 ml milk;
    • 1 large onion;
    • 2 chicken eggs;
    • salt to taste;
    • breadcrumbs;
    • sour cream for lubrication;
    • greens for serving (if desired).

    Preparation:

    • Boil the potatoes until tender in salted water, then drain the water, but leave a bowl of potato broth.

    • Pour milk into the hot potatoes and mash well so that there are no lumps left. Then we beat in the eggs and stir everything quickly so that they do not have time to curdle.

    • Boil the meat until cooked, cool and grind in a meat grinder. Then mix with onion, which we chop finely and sauté until soft. If you have ready-made minced meat, fry it together with onions.

    • Salt the meat filling to taste and mix again. Take a mold, coat it with butter, sprinkle a little breadcrumbs and spread half of the puree, then lay out the meat filling and more puree.

    • Grease the last layer with sour cream, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and place the casserole in the oven for 30-35 minutes, temperature 200 °C. If desired, sprinkle the finished dish with herbs and serve.

    In kindergarten, the casserole is served with sour cream, only the fermented milk product is pre-boiled.

    Potato casserole roll

    Many people consider potato casserole with minced meat an everyday dish. But there are recipes with which you can surprise not only your loved ones, but also your guests. So, you can cook a casserole roll in the oven. It turns out tasty and unusual.

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 kg of potatoes;
    • 1 thin pita bread;
    • 400 g champignons;
    • 2 medium onions;
    • 300 g minced meat;
    • 2 carrots;
    • 3 cloves of garlic;
    • 100 g hard cheese;
    • a bunch of parsley;
    • a bunch of dill;
    • a bunch of green onions;
    • 2 tbsp. l. sour cream;
    • 2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise;
    • a set of spices (basil, nutmeg);
    • salt and pepper to taste.

    Preparation:

    • Chop the champignons into small cubes and fry them in oil until golden, then put them in a bowl. Grind the carrots on a coarse grater, and pass the garlic cloves through a fine grater.

    • In a frying pan with oil, fry the twisted meat along with carrots and garlic for 20 minutes.
    • Add mushrooms, mayonnaise, salt, spices to the contents of the pan and mix everything well.
    • Peel the potato tubers and boil until soft, don’t forget to add salt to the water. Then we prepare the puree.

    • Chop all the greens and mix. Three cheese on a grater. Divide the puree and meat filling into 2 equal parts. Take a thin sheet of pita bread and also cut it in half.
    • On each sheet we put crushed potatoes, then the filling, which we sprinkle with herbs and cheese shavings.

    • Roll everything into a roll, grease it with sour cream, place it on a baking sheet and put it in the oven for 30-40 minutes, temperature 180 °C. Cut the finished casserole into portions and serve.

    Even simple dishes can have a rich, bright and refined taste. Potato casserole with minced meat in the oven is exactly such a dish. To prepare it, you can take any of the proposed recipes, and for serving, make mushroom, cream or tomato sauce.

    Preparation

    Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and finely chop 1 onion. Sauté them with a very small amount of vegetable oil. Do not fry, but simmer over low heat until the carrots are soft and the onions are almost transparent. During sauteing, in order not to add excess oil, you can add a little water.

    In another frying pan, also with a drop of vegetable oil, simmer the minced meat mixed with a finely chopped second onion. Simmer until all the liquid has evaporated. If you want the minced meat to become completely soft, add a little boiling water, cover with a lid and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Make sure that it does not form in one lump (stir occasionally with a fork while kneading the minced meat) and does not fry.

    Wash and peel the zucchini thoroughly (if they are young with a delicate skin, then you don’t have to remove it). Cut into circles. Cut the cauliflower into slices. It is usually customary to disassemble the inflorescences, throwing away the stem, which, by the way, is very useful, because it is part of the cabbage, and edible.

    Prepare the filling by lightly beating the eggs with milk and adding salt to your taste.

    Grease the form for preparing vegetable casserole with minced meat with oil (either vegetable or butter). Place a row of zucchini on the bottom and pour some of the filling over them.

    Place onions and carrots on top.

    Next is a layer of minced meat.

    The last layer of cauliflower. Pour the egg and milk mixture over the casserole.

    Bake in a preheated (t - 180 degrees) oven for 25-30 minutes. A couple of minutes before it’s ready, sprinkle the casserole with finely grated cheese, let it melt (no need to keep it until crusty, let the cheese remain soft).

    This casserole will appeal not only to children, but also to the rest of the family, so you can prepare a good portion so that there is enough for everyone, and bake in a large pan. Or you can bake it in portions - the small form will immediately serve as a plate with which the baby will happily devour the delicious dish.
