Nuggets are usually called small pieces of meat or fish fillet, deep-fried. Initially, this dish appeared as fast food, however, if served with salad or any vegetables, it can become a complete lunch. This article will provide a recipe describing how to make cheese nuggets.

In order to prepare cheese nuggets, you will need: chicken breast, a few tablespoons of flour, a chicken egg, 200 grams of hard cheese, salt, spices, vegetable oil for frying.

How to cook cheese nuggets?

  1. In order to prepare cheese nuggets, it is best to use not frozen, but chilled chicken breast, which is cut into small pieces across the grain.
  2. The egg is poured into a separate container, salted and seasoned with spices. To obtain a subtle, oriental taste of cheese nuggets, experts recommend using curry seasoning, which is added not only to the egg, but also directly to the chicken meat. Beat the spiced egg with a whisk.
  3. Cheese (it is best to use hard cheese to make nuggets) is grated on a fine grater.
  4. To prepare cheese nuggets, pour vegetable oil into a thick-walled frying pan or saucepan, about two fingers thick.
  5. A piece of chicken fillet for nuggets is dipped in beaten egg, then rolled in cheese, and at the last stage - in flour.
  6. The resulting lumps of cheese are placed in oil heated to a boil so that the fat completely hides their surface.

  • Grind crackers and cheese in a blender in a bowl with blades. You should get as fine a crumb as possible, because that’s what we’ll be dipping the cheese nuggets into. Transfer the mixture to a plate.

  • Break the egg into a deep container. Add salt and black and ground pepper. Shake with a fork.

  • Cover the baking sheet with foil or baking paper. Turn on the oven at 180 degrees. We take the blanks and alternately lower them: egg mixture, breading, egg mixture, breading. Place them on a baking sheet. We repeat the procedure with each one. Bake for about 25-30 minutes. The nuggets with cheese should be golden brown and the cheese on the sides should be baked.

1. For nuggets, take two types of cheese - hard and processed. You can choose any cheese that you like best. So, for example, processed cheese can be taken with additives - chili, bacon, mushrooms, ham, etc. The same can be said about hard cheeses; cheeses with spices or additives in the form of walnuts/mushrooms/vegetables are suitable. Cut the cheeses into medium-sized cubes.

2. Beat two large chicken eggs into a deep bowl and add a few pinches of pepper mixture for added spice. You don’t have to add salt, but it all depends directly on the cheese; if it is absolutely not salty, then a pinch of salt won’t hurt. So, beat the eggs with a fork/whisk.

3. Dip each layer of cheese into eggs.

4. Pour breadcrumbs into a separate bowl and dip each piece of cheese into the breadcrumbs. Then repeat the breading - egg, crackers.

5. Do this with all cheese – processed and hard. Place the cheese mixture on a plate and let the breadcrumbs dry for a few minutes.

6. Pour vegetable oil into the ladle, preferably without a characteristic odor. Place the ladle on the stove and heat the oil almost to a boil.

7. Drop the cheese in portions into boiling oil and brown for a few minutes. After taking out the cheese nuggets, remove excess oil with kitchen paper napkins.

8. Serve the nuggets immediately.
