Liver imbalance according to Chinese medicine

fry chopped onion in butter - everything is usual. We wash raw fresh or frozen salmon liver (pink salmon, chum salmon, salmon, etc.) with water, drain it, and place it in a frying pan with fried onions. Salt, pepper, soy sauce, bay leaf to taste. Fry all this over high heat for several minutes.

regular serving, like any liver dish.

The finished dish can be served with any herbs, garnish, sauce (spicy, lactic, your choice).

Quick, delicious and healthy.

The most important point is the quality of the liver, of course fresh is better; if it was frozen, look at the production date - the liver oxidizes very quickly and is unbearably bitter.

The most valuable breed of fish is salmon, and pink salmon is one of the representatives of this species. The fish got its name from the hump that protrudes above the spine, just behind the head. Despite its not very attractive appearance, pink salmon has a second name - pink salmon. But one can argue with this opinion, because pink salmon tends to change its color. And this is not strange, when fish moves from fresh waters to the sea and back, the color tends to change slightly. This type of fish is a migrant; first they live in the river, then they move to the sea, and then spawn again and return to the fresh river. The lifespan of pink salmon is approximately 3 years. The benefits and harms of pink salmon are important.

Properties and composition of pink salmon fish

Like any product that is eaten, pink salmon also has both benefits and harm to the body. Pink salmon is rich in vitamins and minerals; it is famous for its high protein content and virtual absence of fat. An ideal product for those who want to lose weight, isn't it?

In addition to all the beneficial properties inherent in each fish, pink salmon is also distinguished by the presence of rare vitamins PP, phosphorus, sulfur, a huge amount of iodine, chromium, and cobalt. It’s hard to imagine that such a familiar product contains so many useful microelements. Pink salmon is famous for the presence of unsaturated fats, which are beneficial for the body, especially women. Even canned pink salmon retains its beneficial properties.

The principle of action of biological products

Insecticidal and acaricidal biological products based on bacteria and viruses begin to act from the moment a pest, be it an insect or a tick, enters the body with food. After a few days, the infected pest dies from toxicosis or multiplied bacteria.

Moreover, unlike pesticides, biological products can be used even a few days before harvesting. They do not accumulate in plant tissues and do not pose a risk to human health and beneficial insects, such as bees.

Biological plant protection products should be used at an air temperature of at least 10°C. Cooler weather inhibits the activity of beneficial microorganisms, which reduces the effectiveness of drugs.

Among bioinsecticides there are preparations of both internal and external action that protect plant roots and destroy soil pests. To do this, it is enough to treat the root system of seedlings or planting material with a solution (suspension) before planting.

Fungicidal biological products promote the production of substances that destroy the causative agents of most plant diseases, suppress the development of pathogenic microflora, thereby healing the soil.

Today, garden stores offer a huge variety of biological plant protection products. It’s time to get confused when choosing them. Therefore, we have selected 7 of the most popular drugs for you. Some of them may have different manufacturers, but the principle of action and composition are the same.

Alirin-B

The biological preparation Alirin-B is intended to combat pathogens of bacterial infections on garden crops and indoor plants. It successfully fights root and gray rot, powdery mildew and tracheomycosis wilt, alternaria and late blight, rust and scab, cercospora and other diseases.

In addition, Alirin-B restores soil microflora, increases the level of protein and ascorbic acid in fruits, and reduces the content of nitrates.

The drug protects potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, green crops, as well as apple trees, black currants, gooseberries and strawberries. It is used to treat potato tubers before planting, spray the plants during the growing season and water the solution at the root.

Baikal EM1

The drug with effective microorganisms Baikal EM1 is also called “live” fertilizer. It contains specially selected soil microorganisms that have a beneficial effect on soil fertility, on the growth and development of plants, increasing their immunity.

Baikal EM1 is used for treating seeds and planting material, spraying seedlings and indoor plants, foliar and root treatment of crops. The drug is also used when preparing the soil for planting, and also as an accelerator for the composting of plant residues.

In addition, the EM drug reduces the growth of pathogenic microflora in the soil and makes the nutrients in it more accessible for absorption by plants.

Lepidocide

Biological insecticide Lepidocide effectively fights the caterpillars of most harmful lepidopteran insects: moths, cabbage moths, codling moths, leaf rollers, moths, etc. It is widely used to protect forest, agricultural and park crops from pests.

The endotoxins included in the drug damage the inner lining of the caterpillar's intestines, which is why the insect stops feeding and dies within 3-7 days. Plants are sprayed with Lepidocide solution during the growing season against each generation of voracious larvae of pest butterflies.

  • Lepidocide - instructions for use, action of the insecticide. Safety measures for Lepidocid, compatibility.

Sporobacterin

The biological fungicide Sporobacterin provides the prevention and treatment of fungal and bacterial plant diseases such as powdery mildew, late blight, root rot, bacterial spotting, mildew, scab, rhizoctonia, etc.

One treatment with this drug replaces two treatments with chemical fungicides. It can be used from early spring to late autumn. Sporobacterin is effective when soaking planting material: seeds, tubers, bulbs.

For preventive purposes, it is also sprayed on plants during the growing season, the lawn and the soil surface. To enhance the effect of the drug, the soil must be constantly loosened.

  • Sporobacterin - instructions for use, fungicide action. Safety measures for Sporobacterin, compatibility.

Fitoverm

The list of pests against which such a biological insectoacaricide as Fitoverm is used is quite wide. This is the only anti-spider mite drug that can be used on indoor plants.

It is designed to combat most leaf-eating and sucking pests: mites, aphids, thrips, caterpillars on vegetables, berry bushes and fruit trees, and also, of course, on “green pets” from the home greenhouse.

Plants are sprayed with a solution of the drug as the pest appears. The insect dies within three days from exhaustion, because... The active ingredient of the drug Aversectin C, entering the intestinal tract, paralyzes the victim.

  • Fitoverm - instructions for use, action of the insecticide. Safety measures for Fitoverm, compatibility.

Fitosporin-M

A biological fungicide such as Fitosporin-M is effective against many dangerous plant diseases. It is used to prevent and treat in the initial stages of late blight and septoria, scab and root rot, fusarium wilt and blackleg, powdery mildew, etc.

Seeds, tubers and bulbs are soaked in a solution of Fitosporin-M before planting. It is used to treat cuttings and disinfect the soil before sowing or planting crops. The drug increases the immunity of plants and helps them recover from illness.

Thanks to the biofungicide, seeds germinate faster, plants sprout together and develop quickly.

Epin-Extra

Epin-Extra is a broad-spectrum biological product. It is used as a plant growth stimulator and immunomodulator. Under its influence, crops develop better and resist unfavorable environmental conditions: frost, excess humidity, pests and infections.

Seeds and planting material are also soaked in the drug solution. Spraying seedlings with it after transplanting into the ground relieves their stress state, and treating crops with it during the growing season helps to increase their productivity.

In addition, Epin-Extra helps remove heavy metal salts, radionuclides and nitrates from plant tissues and their fruits.

  • Epin Extra - instructions for use, effect of the drug. Safety measures for Epin Extra, compatibility.

The use of biological products for plant protection is one of the steps towards organic farming, which will provide you with safe and healthy vegetables and fruits.

Calories in pink salmon

The amount of nutrients in pink salmon is off the charts. It doesn’t matter whether it’s stewed, baked, fried or steamed – the satiety and benefits of fish are undeniable. And for those losing weight, this is a real savior, which will satiate you 100% and at the same time there are only 140 calories per 100 grams of fish. But, despite this, the high amount of protein in fish, which is a little more than 60%, allows you to quickly and for a long time get full. You can prepare pink salmon fillet as a dietary option by simply stewing it. Fish takes a long time to digest, so if you eat pink salmon for dinner, you definitely won’t want to eat it before bed. And most importantly, even a large portion of fish will not leave fat on the sides and waist; the main thing, of course, is not to overeat until you lose consciousness. Canned pink salmon is also low in calories.

The benefits and harms of pink salmon

If we look at the chemical composition of pink salmon, we can conclude that it is primarily beneficial for the health of the skin, mucous membranes of the body, the digestive system and the central nervous system. Doctors recommend adding pink salmon dishes to the diet for those who have reduced immunity and general body tone, because this fish contains almost the entire periodic table of chemical elements. More precisely, exactly what the human body needs. And if the benefits of fish for those losing weight are obvious, then other important properties should be discussed in more detail. The antioxidants contained in the composition help control and normalize blood sugar levels. Of course, their content in pink salmon is not so high, but they still exist and perform a very important function, in addition to controlling sugar, acids provide rejuvenation, this is a real source of youth. The amazing benefits of pink salmon and the harm that is virtually absent - that’s what makes this fish ideal.

It is necessary to mention phosphorus, which is present in pink salmon as phosphoric acid, and its task is the formation of enzymes that regulate and accelerate chemical reactions in cells. Due to this, metabolism is accelerated, which is very important for the proper functioning of the body. The second phosphorus compound is phosphate salts, which are involved in the construction of skeletal tissue.

Pink salmon is an indispensable product on the menu for those who suffer from thyroid diseases. This is because fish contains a large amount of honey. It is impossible not to mention that pink salmon is an indispensable product for the full functioning of the circulatory system of the brain. This is all thanks to the fact that the cells are saturated with pyridoxine, which is known to improve metabolism in brain cells. Due to this, performance increases, not only memory, but also mood improves. Pyridoxine helps sugar to be distributed evenly throughout the body, thereby improving the functioning of the nervous system. Therefore, pink salmon is the number one product during sessions, exams and difficult situations. The maximum benefits and harm of pink salmon, which is minimal, attract nutritionists.

Harm and contraindications

You can often hear that pink salmon has absolutely no contraindications, with the exception of individual intolerance. On the one hand, this is true, but on the other, doctors still recommend consuming pink salmon with caution for those who have peptic ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract or chronic liver pathologies. It is not recommended to eat a lot of fish for those who have individual intolerance to phosphorus and iodine. Do not forget that fish can either have a beneficial effect on the body or cause harm. In order for pink salmon to retain the maximum amount of useful elements, you need to learn how to cook it correctly. Which recipes are the most popular?

Homemade salted pink salmon

The best option to preserve all the beneficial properties of fish is to salt it at home. The recipe for pickling pink salmon is quite simple and even novice cooks can do it.

  • First you need to clean the pink salmon from scales and gut it. You should get rid of everything except meat.
  • Next you need to treat the fish with salt both inside and outside.
  • Don't forget to wrap the pink salmon in a slightly damp cotton napkin. You need to roll the fish very tightly with a napkin so that it is completely wrapped, without any open spaces. After the napkin, you need to wrap the pink salmon in a towel and place it in a bag, which is again wrapped in paper.
  • Now, finally, you can put the fish in the refrigerator and say goodbye to it for three weeks.

And after the designated time has passed, you can enjoy the taste of freshly salted pink salmon, which has retained its beneficial properties by almost 100%. Housewives loved this recipe because it can be modified as you please, adding various spices, and experimenting with taste.

What is the difference between chum salmon and pink salmon

Pink salmon, like chum salmon, belongs to the salmon family. She has a light shade of scales with a bluish tint. During the spawning period, it, like its “brother,” changes color. A characteristic feature is the presence of dark spots on the back and tail.

It is small in size. The meat of pink salmon is denser and fattier than that of chum salmon, which is explained by its diet. It is plentiful and higher in calories, although it does not reach large sizes.

Let us highlight the main differences between the two types:

  1. Size: chum salmon is larger than pink salmon.
  2. Color: chum salmon has a silver tint, pink salmon has a light and bluish tint.
  3. Scale sizes: pink salmon has smaller scales compared to chum salmon.
  4. Meat: pink salmon’s meat is fattier and denser, but chum salmon’s is more tender.
  5. Size of eggs: those of chum salmon are larger than those of pink salmon and brighter.
  6. The value of caviar: pink salmon is considered more rich and tender, so it is valued higher.

Wet salting of pink salmon caviar

And if the classic recipe for salting pink salmon is simple and clear, then with pink salmon caviar things are a little different. The recipe is also easy to make, but has a slightly different technique. For a standard recipe you will need 250 grams of pink salmon caviar, 250 grams of water, a tablespoon of salt and a teaspoon of sugar. So, how to cook pink salmon caviar at home?

  • The caviar needs to be separated from the film, washed and dried, at which time you can put water on the fire.
  • When the water boils, salt and sugar should be dissolved in it.
  • The brine needs to be strained through a sieve; if you don’t have one, you can use ordinary gauze.
  • The brine must cool, and only after that can the caviar be sent into it.
  • The caviar should be infused in the brine for two hours, no less.
  • It is important not to injure the eggs and drain the brine through a sieve or cheesecloth.

Now the caviar can be transferred into containers and served to guests.

Baked pink salmon

For a classic recipe for baked pink salmon, you will need one and a half kilograms of fish, 100 grams of butter, one onion, a tablespoon of lemon juice, a teaspoon of wine vinegar, mayonnaise, spinach, parsley, salt, pepper - everything to taste. The fish is prepared as follows:

  • Clean, gut and cut up the pink salmon, rinse it and dry it.
  • Make several transverse cuts, which should be a few centimeters apart from each other.
  • Cut the onion into rings, cut the butter into thin strips and insert the butter into the slits. If there is something left, you don’t have to throw it away, but put it in the belly, and the onion goes there too.
  • Finely chop the greens, add vinegar, mayonnaise, lemon juice and blend with a blender. This will be the sauce that you need to coat the pink salmon with.
  • Wrap the fish in foil and place it on a baking sheet, place the pink salmon in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees.

The fish is baked for about half an hour and served whole, decorated with lemon slices.

About a hundred different species of fish are part of the salmon family, including pink salmon. This individual can be distinguished by the small hump that is located on the back. This is where the name came from - pink salmon. Such fish live in many places on the planet and do not have a permanent “place of residence.” As a rule, they breed in fresh water, but prefer to live in the seas. The length of the average specimen starts from 55 cm, and the weight ranges up to 1.3 kg.

Useful properties of pink salmon

Pink salmon meat is balanced and nutritious, it is a source of vitamin PP, pyridoxine, sodium and fluorine. Fish also contains fatty acids and fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins B12. It is not without reason that many peoples of the North have eaten this fish from time immemorial and were distinguished by amazing health. This fish delicacy, when eaten regularly, can compensate for the lack of many trace elements and vitamins in the body.

The most valuable in this regard are Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are present in abundance in the meat of this fish. These acids are also called vitamins of youth, since they are responsible for the aging process. They have a beneficial effect on the structure and activity of cell membranes

Vitamin PP or nicotinic acid is quite difficult to find in other foods; it is a microelement necessary for the proper functioning of the higher nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. Sodium is indispensable in the functioning of the circulatory system and water metabolism, and without fluoride the processes of hematopoiesis and bone metabolism are impossible (it is also a preventative against caries). Therefore, pink salmon should be included in the diet of every person who cares about their health.

Scientists from the University of Pittsburgh (USA) found that omega-3 fatty acids, which are rich in fatty fish, have a positive effect on areas of the brain associated with emotions. Regular consumption of these fish prevents cardiovascular diseases, hypertension and, accordingly, sudden death from strokes and heart attacks.

100g of pink salmon contains:

Water: 54. 1 g Proteins: 22.1 g Fats: 9 0 g Unsaturated fatty acids: 1. 5 g Cholesterol: 83.0 mg Ash: 14 . 8 g Vitamin B1: 0.3 mg Vitamin B2: 0.2 mg Vitamin PP: 4.6 mg Iron: 0.7 mg Potassium: 278.0 mg Calcium: 40.0 mg Magnesium: 29.0 mg Sodium: 5343.0 mg Phosphorus: 128.0 mg Chlorine: 165.0 mg Molybdenum: 4.0 µg Nickel: 6.0 µg Fluorine: 430.0 µg Chromium: 55.0 µg Zinc: 700.0 µg

Dangerous properties of pink salmon

Pink salmon is contraindicated for those who are allergic to fish.

People suffering from chronic liver diseases, as well as diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, should use this product with caution so as not to cause exacerbation of diseases.

Pink salmon is also contraindicated for people with intolerance to phosphorus and iodine.

The length of the average specimen starts from 55 cm, and the weight ranges up to 1.3 kg.

Important microelements

Fish meat contains so many microelements, without which the human body cannot fully function. Three main microelements found in meat:

  • Omega-3 multivitamin reduces the risk of cancer;
  • there is phosphoric acid;
  • and the central nervous system is strengthened by pyridoxine.

But, nevertheless, there are allergy sufferers for whom the benefits and harms of pink salmon for the body are the same. That is, fish have two sides to the coin.

Per 100 grams of meat there are approximately 155 kcal. This means that the product is dietary. Nutritionists especially advise people who are overweight to consume pink salmon. This meat is mainly consumed by athletes. At the same time, due to the low calorie content, there is no constant feeling of hunger, since meat contains 61% amino acids. In addition to these useful elements, there are others, for example:

  • multivitamins - 1.3 g;
  • fats - 7 gr.;
  • useful liquid - 73 g;
  • protein - 25 g;
  • vitamins (A, B, E, C, D, as well as PP).

Other trace elements are also present: phosphorus, chlorine, sulfur, potassium and magnesium.

From a medical point of view, pink salmon meat should be consumed at least twice in 30 days. Because fish contains a huge amount of useful substances that have a beneficial effect on the human body. In addition, the immune system will be strengthened, which will be able to fight many harmful influences and provide good protection against various bacteria. But it is also important to consider the human body’s reaction to seafood.

The benefits of fish for the body

Pink salmon differs from other types of fish in its excellent taste. Its meat contains beneficial substances that are necessary for the human body. Therefore, every buyer should know the benefits and harms of pink salmon. Nutritional benefits of the product (PP), as well as the composition of meat:

  • if you eat pink salmon from time to time, all waste and toxic substances are removed from the body;
  • meat contains many useful minerals and vitamins;
  • the likelihood of acquiring Alzheimer's disease is reduced;
  • there are macro- and microelements;
  • pink salmon prevents osteoporosis, a common bone disease;
  • the central nervous system is also strengthened;
  • the iodine contained in meat has a beneficial effect on the thyroid gland;
  • the minimum calories contained in pink salmon promote weight loss;
  • thanks to calcium, bones and tooth enamel are strengthened;
  • a person who regularly consumes the meat of such fish acquires good immunity;
  • beneficial elements of fish improve heart function;
  • Due to phosphorus, brain activity improves.

Experts recommend frequently consuming pink salmon due to the fact that microelements not only soften the walls of blood vessels, but also improve human skin. That is, a certain rejuvenation effect occurs. In this case, the benefits of pink salmon for the body are an indisputable fact.

Allergic reaction

There are practically no restrictions on the consumption of meat, since the usefulness of the product is obvious. But there are people who have an allergic reaction due to seafood, but such cases are quite rare. There is also another category of the population suffering from various diseases, and these people are not recommended to eat red fish meat. Contraindications :

  • if you have kidney and liver diseases, then you should abstain from pink salmon;
  • Do not use the product if you have problems with the gastrointestinal tract;
  • Also, doctors do not advise eating such fish if there is intolerance to phosphorus and iodine.

Therefore, the benefits and harms of pink salmon fish affect all people differently.

As previously mentioned, allergic reactions to pink salmon were extremely rare. To check if there is an allergy, you need to cook the fish, cut off a small piece of meat and taste. If the condition worsens slightly, then such food should be abandoned. And if there are no changes in health, then such a product can be safely consumed.

However, it is difficult to find another similar product with such nutrients. If you are afraid of eating it because of a possible allergy, then before eating pink salmon, it is better to go to the doctor and be examined for the presence of the disease. As a rule, most of the beneficial nutrients are retained in raw, recently caught fish, and slightly less so in baked and boiled fish.

For canning, you will have to follow the cooking technology, since raw meat contains not only important microelements, but also various bacteria. And during cooking they need to be eliminated. And this is very difficult.

It is better to prepare the product fried, boiled and baked. In this case, you can achieve the elimination of all microbes. But if you have a gastrointestinal tract disease, baked and fried meat is not recommended for consumption. There is only one way out: cook pink salmon boiled. Then no problems will arise. If a person suffers from gastritis, then you should not make the dish very spicy.

Biological plant protection

Of course, progress does not stand still; with the increase in the diversity of food crops and the expansion of cultivated areas, chemical and biological laboratories have begun to be created that are developing new methods of plant protection to increase yields.
Since the second half of the 19th century, chemical crop protection products have been actively used, which has tripled yields. Biological plant protection relies primarily on the use of living organisms, as well as drugs with a bacterial component, in the fight against harmful objects. Today there are three main methods of biological protection:

  • this is the introduction into the soil of beneficial microorganisms that perform the function of orderlies in the fight against harmful infections and viruses, an example is the drug trichoflor, a biofungicide, phytosporin.
  • This is spraying plants during the growing season with biological preparations; you can use the drug biolarvicide or trichodermin.
  • and finally, this is the attraction of “beneficial insects” to the site, such as the ladybug (which is capable of destroying a whole horde of aphids), ground beetles, lacewings, amblyseus, trichogramma, encarsia and other ethnomophages, as well as birds, but only if We are not talking about fruit and berry lands.

You should not ignore microorganisms, which are the worst enemies of ticks and insects in the natural environment. The most common of them are pathogens of insect diseases of bacterial origin. Fungal and viral microorganisms cause rapid death of the insect.

The drug entobacterin, which is based on crystal-forming bacteria, which, when entering the body of an insect, paralyzes it and kills it, has become widespread.

Another biological preparation is dendrobacillin; its main component is a microorganism taken from silkworm caterpillars; the product allows you to fight many types of pests in the garden.

Dangerous for insects, but harmless to humans, mushrooms of the genus Boveria bassiana are pathogenic fungi that kill most lepidoptera, coleoptera, membranous and other insects. When the microorganism enters the intestines of an insect, it causes the disease “white muscardinosis”, followed by death.

Viruses can also be considered natural enemies of insects. A group of parasitic cells, penetrating into a host, causes its death; a distinctive feature of bacteriological protection in the form of a virus is its narrow focus and safety for warm-blooded animals. In our country, the use of codling moth granulosis virus is permitted, this is the biological product Fermo-Virin and Cydia pomonella, a granulovirus contained in the Madex Twin suspension.

In biological pest control, a well-proven method of combining efforts in the form of agrotechnical measures together with preparations of biological origin. For example, fertilizing with phosphorus-potassium fertilizers significantly reduces the population of cabbage whites.

And the use of biological preparations such as gliocladin, which is based on the fungus Trichoderma harziannum, will help get rid of root rot of the plant. Compliance with crop rotation on arable land and good neighborliness of plants in personal plots also leads to a decrease in the number of pathogenic bacteria and harmful insects.

Biological protection implies not only a barrier against harmful insects, but also rodents. To protect fruit and berry crops, as well as young green spaces, another biological method of protection is used, based on infection of large pests by pathogenic microorganisms. In practice, preparations containing Salmonella bacteria, as well as bacterial rodenticides, are used. The latter are a grain mass containing rat typhus bacteria, which, when eaten, causes the death of the rodent within 3-5 days.

Chemical and biological plant protection is an important tool in the fight against pests and diseases, without which agricultural crops are doomed to death. Therefore, it is so important to apply biological protection methods in practice in a timely manner.

Biological plant protection has proven itself to be a safe way to get rid of pests, but it depends on many abiotic factors beyond human control. Sometimes, the use of safe methods does not bring the desired result, and then chemical methods of plant protection come to the rescue.

Product selection rules

Freshly caught fish is considered the best option for preparing this dish. But not everyone has this opportunity. Therefore, a person purchases the product in a frozen state. First you need to make sure the product is fresh and conduct a visual inspection. A good fish is one whose head has not been separated from its body. Because the eyes and gills can indicate the suitability of the product for consumption. As a rule, fresh fish's eyes are not cloudy, but clean and bright. And the pink color of the gills indicates the freshness of the product.

However, sellers often separate the head from the body. But in this case, you can use other tricks to help determine the condition of pink salmon. A headless fish has an open belly, allowing inspection. If the belly is dark and not pink, then the fish is not considered fresh. A white tint of meat indicates excessive freezing of the carcass. Some sellers do this in order to hide the unpleasant odor. Also, the carcass should not have any defects: bruises and cuts. Such fish is considered to be of low quality.

Kinds

As we said earlier, chum salmon is divided into races: autumn and summer. The difference between them is in the timing of spawning, fertility and size. Fall fish spawn in the fall. The spawning period begins in September and ends in November. The fish of this race are larger, its weight reaches 20 kg, and its length exceeds 100 cm. It travels long distances - up to 2000 km, which cannot be said about the summer fish. It is clear that such a race is more valuable for fishing.

Spawning of summer chum begins in August and ends in September. It is small in size, rarely exceeding 50 cm in length.

Ichthyologists have identified two forms of fish: Asian and North American.

Depending on their habitat, fish are divided into 3 types:

  • northern;
  • Amur;
  • Sea of Okhotsk

There is also a Sakhalin species, which we have already described above.

It is worth knowing that after turning from a fry to a mature individual, the fish go to salt waters for several years and increase their mass there. At first they stick to secluded places near the shore, and then, having reached a length of 35 cm and having become a little stronger, they go on a “journey” in search of abundant food. Such migrations of chum salmon can last quite a long time – up to several years.

We invite you to familiarize yourself with the Lamb, whose child is it?

If for a young individual there is enough zooplankton, larvae and remains of dead fish, then an adult chum salmon requires more nutritious food, which can be small fish, such as herring or smelt, crustaceans, mollusks, etc. The average lifespan is 7 years.
