We insert the plug of the multicooker into the socket, pour a tablespoon of vegetable oil into the bowl of the kitchen appliance and send the pork there. After this, set the machine’s display to “Baking” mode , close it with a tight-fitting lid and fry the meat for 20 minutes .
After this time, using a silicone kitchen spatula, turn the pieces of brisket over to the opposite side and cook them, covered, for another 10 minutes .

Preparing this dish, which consists of meat and a side dish, is quite simple, especially when you have such a wonderful electric assistant at hand as a multicooker. Although it’s not that difficult to cook it in the oven either.

If you prefer perfectly clean (without veins or fat) pork pulp, use a shoulder, tenderloin or part of a ham to prepare this dish. If you prefer juicier meat, take the pork layer, because with it the dishes usually turn out much more tender and appetizing.

Perhaps the most win-win combination you can imagine is meat with mushrooms. And if you add potatoes stewed in a slow cooker to it, you get the food of the gods.

Today’s recipe is easy to prepare and has a small number of ingredients; however, pork with potatoes in a slow cooker is an excellent option for a hearty lunch or dinner if you are not afraid of gaining weight.

To cook potatoes with meat and mushrooms in a slow cooker, we need the following components:

Ingredients:

Pork– 400 gr.
Fresh champignon mushrooms– 400 gr.
Potato tubers– 6-8 pcs.
Onion- 1 PC.
Carrot- 1 PC.
Vegetable oil– for frying
Greenery– 1 bunch
Salt- taste
Seasonings- taste
Filtered water– 2 multi-glasses
Garlic– 2-3 cloves

From the specified number of components you can prepare 6 servings of delicious meat with mushrooms and vegetables.

Step 1

Turn on the multi-cooker in the “Baking” or “Frying” mode, pour in a little vegetable oil.

While the bowl is warming up, you need to cut the meat. Rinse the slightly thawed pork (just enough to make it convenient to cut) under water and cut it into small pieces about 2-3 centimeters in size.

Place the meat in the multicooker bowl and cook for about 15 minutes. We need to get a golden crust that prevents the meat juice from leaking out.

Step 2

Now let's do the vegetables. Remove the skins from the onions, rinse them under cold water, and then cut them into small cubes.

Remove the peel from the carrots, wash them well to remove external contamination, and grate them on a coarse grater.

However, to add brightness to the dish, you can cut the carrots into larger slices. When the meat turns a nice golden color, add the chopped onion.

Mix it with the pork, let it fry for a few more minutes, and then add the carrots. Mix the meat and vegetables again, close the lid and leave to cook for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Our recipe recommends using fresh champignons - they do not require additional frying, unlike frozen mushrooms.

We clean the fresh champignons from any dirt, if any, and cut them into thin slices, after which we place them in the bowl of the magic pot.

Mix the meat with mushrooms, turn off the multicooker, because you need to prepare the potatoes, and there’s no point in overcooking the meat.

Note: potatoes with pork in a slow cooker will also work well with frozen mushrooms, you just need to first fry them either in a separate frying pan with the addition of a small amount of onion, or in a slow cooker, after which you need to rinse the bowl before using it again.

If you fry frozen mushrooms separately, it is important to know that the frying process must last until the excess liquid from the mushrooms has evaporated, otherwise they will taste like rubber.

Step 4

Wash the potatoes and peel them. Cut into small pieces as you like and place in the multicooker bowl.

Remove the husks from the garlic cloves, crush them on a cutting board with a knife, chop them finely, and add them to the pot, mixing them with the mushrooms.

Add salt and seasonings to taste - basil, cumin, oregano and a mixture of black and red peppers are best suited for this dish.

But you have the right to choose your favorite spices, because the kitchen is not the place where you should stick to the classics.

The pork and potatoes in the slow cooker are almost ready, all that remains is to select the “Stew” mode. The time it takes to cook stewed potatoes with meat is 60 minutes.

If desired, 30 minutes before the end of cooking, you can add heavy cream to the multicooker pot. They will add a rich creamy flavor to the dish, but of course they will also add calories per serving. Serve the finished dish to the table, sprinkled with a pinch of fresh herbs.

Note: as you remember, the recipe also calls for water. Adding it in this case is not necessary - check the multicooker from time to time to ensure there is a sufficient amount of moisture inside.

Ingredients:

  • Pork layer with a minimum amount of lard - 1-2 pcs.;
  • Potatoes - several tubers;
  • Onions, salt, ground parika and pepper - to taste;
  • Hard cheese “Russian” – about 70 g;
  • Tomato paste – dessert spoon or tablespoon (again, to taste);
  • Vegetable oil - approximately 5 tablespoons.

If you wish, add carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and garlic to the list of ingredients.

Cooking time is approximately 2 hours.

How to cook potatoes with pork in a Redmond multicooker (REDMOND RMC-M211 860 W):

If you are using a layer of pork with bones and cartilage, cut off all the hard parts first - it will make an excellent stock for soup. Don't forget to remove the skin too.

Rinse thoroughly and wipe the layer dry, then cut into thin slices (the thinner you cut the meat, the faster it will cook). Peel the onion and finely chop it.

Turning on the multicooker in the “Frying” mode, sauté the chopped onion in oil for just a couple of minutes (until translucent). Then add the pork slices to it and, stirring occasionally, fry for 12-13 minutes.

Add tomato paste and a quarter cup of water to the multicooker bowl (if you have broth, use it). Switch the device to the “Extinguishing” mode, close the lid and, having set the timer for 25 minutes, press the “Start” button.

While the meat is stewing, peel the potatoes, wash them, cut them into not very small cubes and soak them in cold water. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

As soon as the multicooker notifies you that the stewing process is complete, drain the water from the soaked potatoes and add them to the meat along with the spices and stir.

Sprinkle cheese on top, close the device, switch to the “Baking” mode for 45 minutes.

When buying pork at the market, give preference to a shoulder or ham with a minimum amount of fat. The ideal combination of products would be:

  • 1 kg lean pork;
  • 0.8-1 kg of mushrooms;
  • 1.5-2 kg of potatoes;

For roasts, choose meat from the neck or rump. Such meat will be more juicy, and the need to add oil will be minimized. Fill the cooking container with the main ingredients of the dish - a layer of pork (1 kg), finely chopped onion (1 onion), potatoes (1.5 kg). Season with salt and pepper mixture.   3. We wash the pork pulp, cut off the veins and fat on the sides.
  4. We cut the meat along the grain, 1.5 centimeters thick. Divide the finished pieces into three parts and cut them into large cubes.
  5. We wash the potatoes, peel them, cut them into two parts and cut each half into three slices along the length of the vegetable.
  6. Cut the green onions diagonally into flakes.
  7. Pour oil into the multicooker container and set the frying program (vegetable fry). Add the onions and cook until golden brown, stirring occasionally with a silicone spatula so as not to spoil the non-stick surface of the multicooker pan.
  8. Add the pork and turn on the frying process for 10 minutes.
  9. Prepare the base for the sauce. Pour cold water into a glass, add tomato paste, flour and stir with a fork until smooth.
