The traditional mimosa salad recipe includes only 6 ingredients: canned sardines, cheese, eggs, onions, butter and mayonnaise. Sometimes potatoes were added, and fresh herbs were used for decoration. - Boil the eggs, separate the yolks and whites. Grate the whites and mash the yolks with a fork.

- Finely chop the greens.
- Assemble the salad, coating each layer with a mayonnaise mesh: egg whites, then cheese, sardine, onion, half the yolk.

- Next, we’ll make a protein layer, and after that a cheese layer. And again, of course, coat it with mayonnaise to make the salad juicy.
- Now we create a carrot layer from half of the total amount of vegetables, again soak in mayonnaise.
- Next, lay out a green layer of half an onion and sprinkle it with half of the yolks.
- We lay out the rest of the carrots, coat them well with mayonnaise, create another onion layer on top and finish our snack masterpiece with grated yolks.
