What is the best way to cook quail eggs? A few nuances

First of all, it is worth considering the basic principles of preparing this product. Remember a few important points. Tips will help you preserve the valuable substances, aroma and delicate taste of eggs, and their delicate texture. In addition, you will know exactly how long it takes to cook various dishes with eggs.

Raw but safe

Interesting fact! It turns out that many specialists, nutritionists and therapists have already noted that the famous quail eggs can be eaten raw. At the same time, you will be able to give a dish of raw proteins and yolks even to a child.

The thing is that quails are practically not susceptible to various infectious diseases, including salmonellosis. It is almost impossible to become infected with salmonella from a raw quail egg.

However, young children with extremely low body resistance should still be given eggs that have already been thermally processed. Many parents start giving their children raw quail eggs at 7-8 years old. This is the optimal age.

But precautions must also be taken. Of course, any product can be dangerous. It is important to adhere to some rules when choosing and purchasing eggs.

  • For groceries, you need to go to well-known stores that have long established themselves in the market. You should not buy quail eggs “from hand” or order them from unfamiliar people. Now individual entrepreneurs have the opportunity to supply products to large retail chains. Their goods undergo the necessary control, and buyers receive quality guarantees.

Try to weigh the eggs in your hand and compare them with each other. It’s better not to take ones that are too light. You shouldn't eat shiny eggs either. They're probably not fresh. The shell of high-quality quail eggs is matte.

  • Carefully inspect quail eggs. They should not have scratches, damage, holes or chips. You need to take the testicles carefully and examine them carefully from all sides. The spots will be a little disturbing, but you can quickly get used to it.
  • If the carton of eggs is already damaged, this is something to think about. It is much more practical to find eggs in a whole container.

When you have chosen the right quail eggs, examined them and smelled them, and did not notice anything suspicious, you can safely cook them raw and give them even to children! There are a great many cooking recipes; below we will look at some of the most successful ones.

  4. Put a little salt in the water to prevent the shells from cracking and the eggs from leaking.
  5. After the water boils, you need to reduce the heat and note the time.
  6. Now is the most important thing.
You need to cook quail eggs less than chicken eggs! In just one minute you will get an egg “in a bag”, three minutes you need to cook a soft-boiled egg, and 5 minutes is enough for hard-boiling.

If the eggs are not from young quail, they can be boiled for 4-4.5 minutes. They will become dense, the yolk will no longer be liquid.

  7. When the eggs are cooked, they can be removed with a slotted spoon. A good option is to carefully drain the hot water and then pour cold water over all the eggs. If you keep the eggs in cold water for a while, they will peel perfectly.

Boiled quail eggs can be added to salads, used to decorate various dishes, and used to prepare vegetable stews, soups, and original snacks.

Correct technology for boiling quail eggs

Technologies for boiling quail eggs in water differ primarily in cooking time. Other differences are minor.

Hard-boiled

The product is taken out of the refrigerator in advance and warmed to room temperature and washed.

Cooking involves several steps:

  1. Pour water into the pan and add eggs. The water should completely cover the quail eggs.
  2. To clean the shell well, add 1-2 teaspoons of salt.
  3. The water is brought to a boil.
  4. After boiling, note the time and cook the product for 3-5 minutes until cooked. The lid of the dish is not closed.
  5. Remove the eggs from the pan with a spoon and carefully place them in a deep plate with cold water.

Soft-boiled

It is better to cook soft-boiled quail eggs in boiling water. When heated slowly in a cold environment, the protein coagulates faster. But in boiling water it only “sets”, so the yolk remains liquid.

  1. Pour water into the pan, add 1-2 tablespoons of salt, and bring the liquid to a boil.
  2. The eggs are placed in a spoon and carefully lowered into the bubbling water. This must be done quickly so that the eggs laid first are not digested.
  3. After waiting for it to boil, note the time and cook the product for 1-2 minutes.
  4. The eggs are quickly removed and placed in a bowl of cold water.

How to use quail eggs for potency

A bucket of quail eggs for potency

To get the best results from quail eggs for potency, a man needs to consume 5 yolks per day , and the number of whites is unlimited. You should not exceed the recommended dosage of yolks: it will not bring any benefit, it will not speed up the onset of results, but excess cholesterol and fats will harm the heart and blood vessels. People with kidney, liver, and gallbladder diseases should not get carried away with this product. One of the best ways to quickly improve potency in a simple and safe folk way is cocktails: they contain eggs that have not undergone heat treatment and other useful substances.

Egg snacks can be served both cold and hot. They are suitable for both a regular family dinner and a celebration with a large number of guests.

The plates for serving such snacks are small - flat salad bowls, cocotte bowls, two-story porcelain shelves or ordinary saucers. But it’s better to put 2-3 of these plates than one large one.

Now you know how to use quail eggs for your culinary fantasies. Snack recipes will always be at your fingertips!

First we boil the eggs

The main highlight of the salad is the hard-boiled quail eggs. They can be cooked in different ways, but true gourmets, answering the question “how to cook hard-boiled eggs?” It is advised to acquire special equipment for this purpose. Real equipment, as usual, is quite expensive, but quail eggs are small, so instead of a specialized egg boiler, you can get by with an ordinary saucepan, slotted spoon or spoon. (The cooking technology is also described here and here).

It is much more convenient to lower eggs into boiling water using a spoon, slotted spoon or ladle. This protects your hands from hot steam and the eggs from hitting the bottom of the pan.

The eggs should boil for only three minutes, but then they need to be taken out with the same spoon and immediately dropped into ice water, or placed under a powerful stream of cold water from the tap. This maneuver instantly cools the eggs so they remain soft inside.

How long should I cook eggs after boiling water to cook them properly? This is rather a rhetorical question. It all depends on my mood. If you want it softer, you need to cook it less; if you want it harder, you need to cook it a little longer.

In order not to be unfounded, I will give a visual picture of what eggs look like that have been boiled for different amounts of time.

  • The top left one was cooked for 1 minute. It's practically raw.
  • Top in the center - 2 minutes. The white is solid, the yolk is quite runny.
  • Top right – 2.5 minutes. The yolk has the consistency of liquid cream.
  • Bottom left - 3 minutes. The yolk is soft.
  • Bottom right - 4 minutes. The yolk is hard.

Any options from 2 to 4 minutes are suitable for our salad. Depending on the consistency of the yolk, the dish acquires different flavors. The beneficial properties of eggs are preserved at any time of processing. You can eat them on an empty stomach or as part of other dishes.
