Place the pan on the fire, add salt and pepper to the broth, cook the chicken for 45 minutes, then place the meat on a plate using a slotted spoon. Cool the meat and divide into pieces. If you want to make a soup that is not very high in calories, you don’t have to use chicken skin. 3. Peel the onions and carrots and place them in a saucepan; after half an hour of cooking, remove them from the soup. 4. Peel the potatoes and cut them into large cubes, put them in the soup and cook for 20 minutes. 5. Break 2 chicken eggs, 2 tablespoons of water, 4 heaped tablespoons of flour into a deep dish and mix thoroughly. 6. Reduce heat - there should be a slight bubbling. 7. The dish, I’ll tell you honestly, is hearty, I wouldn’t recommend it for every day - your figure will suffer. However, compared to fried potatoes with cutlets, there are still fewer calories.


Potato dumplings with meat

The most difficult part of the dumpling recipe is to “pick” the potatoes, although modern kitchen gadgets make this difficult task easier. I, in the old fashioned way, grate the potatoes on a fine grater, or use “brute male strength,” which then absorbs the finished dish with appetite.

A classic Belarusian recipe for dumplings, of course, with pork. Choose meat that is not very fatty, or even better, take homemade minced meat, which is half pork and half beef.

Cooking dumplings according to an Italian recipe

Italian potato gnocchi is an interesting variation on traditional dumplings. Their preparation technology is not much different from that described above.

Ingredients:

  • 4 potato tubers;
  • 300 g flour;
  • egg;
  • salt, sunflower oil and ground pepper.

In the process of implementing the recipe, the following actions are performed:

  1. Potato tubers are washed well and placed in a fireproof dish, where they are sprayed with oil and baked for 60 minutes.
  2. After cooling, the pulp is extracted from the tubers, which is thoroughly mixed with the yolk separated from the white, flour and spices.
  3. Sausages are prepared from the elastic mass, cut into equal pieces, in the center of which small depressions are made.
  4. The products are boiled until tender in salted water.

Potato pork dumplings with sausage

You will need:

  • 250 g pork
  • 250 g fatty bacon
  • 250 g ham
  • 250 g Vienna sausage
  • sauerkraut or salad

For the dumplings:

  • 600 g floury potatoes
  • 150 g (1 cup) plain flour
  • 30 g semolina
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt

To make the filling, place the bacon, bacon, ham and sausage through a meat grinder. That's it - don't add anything else!

Do not use a food processor or the meat will stick together and the filling will not have the correct consistency.

Roll the mixture into 10 balls.

To make the potato dough, cook the potatoes in a large pan of boiling salted water until tender but still intact (or they will absorb too much water). Alternatively, cook in a steamer. Drain, then peel and mash the hot potatoes.

Divide the dough in half and shape each portion into a thick log on a lightly floured work surface. Using a knife, cut each portion into 5 thick slices. Flatten 1 slice with your fingers to about 1cm thick and top with meatballs. Press into the dough, making sure the gnocchi is sealed well, then roll into a ball. Repeat with remaining dough and meatballs.

Cook the gnocchi in lightly salted boiling water, in batches, for 20 minutes or until they float to the surface. Be sure to turn occasionally to prevent them from sticking to the bottom.

Step-by-step recipe for potato dumplings with meat - it’s not at all difficult to prepare. The dish will add variety to the table, while you will spend a minimum of money and effort.

  1. Salt and pepper the minced meat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and pour in one raw egg.
  3. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Peel the potatoes and boil until tender.
  5. Drain all the water and crush the tubers with a masher, turning them into a homogeneous puree.
  6. Add eggs, flour, salt, pepper and mix.
  7. Mash a small portion of potato dough into a flat cake and place minced meat in the center.
  8. Pinch the edges and form the product into a round shape.
  9. Boil water, add salt and add bay leaf.
  10. Carefully lower the dumplings into it.
  11. Cook the potato balls until they float to the surface. This will take approximately 5 minutes.

1. Peel potatoes, carrots and onions. 2. Pour 1.7 liters of water into a saucepan and put on fire. 3. Finely chop the onion and carrots and fry with the addition of vegetable oil in a frying pan for 5-7 minutes over medium heat. 4. Peel and coarsely chop the potatoes and place in water. 5. Pour 1 glass of water into a small saucepan, add salt and butter. 6. Pour flour through a sieve and mix dynamically for 1.5 minutes over medium heat. 7. Cool the flour mixture, beat in the egg and mix. 8. Using a teaspoon, form dumplings and drop one at a time into the boiling soup. 9. After adding all the dumplings to the pan with the soup, cook the soup for 3 minutes, then leave covered for 10 minutes.
