Homemade puffed rice

To prepare puffed rice, prepare the ingredients: - 1 tbsp.
round rice; - 2 tbsp. water; - 3 tbsp. vegetable oil (refined). Rinse 1 cup of rice thoroughly until the water runs clear. Drain it and place the rice in a 3-quart saucepan. Pour in 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

  1. Clean, dry rice is susceptible to high temperatures and pressure. In special containers, all this happens within 2 minutes. During this time, complex changes occur at the cellular level of the product, which is why it “inflates”;
  2. The grains are poured into a special cauldron, which rotates all the time;
  3. At the same time, sweet syrup is poured. It is very important here that it is evenly distributed throughout the grains;
  4. Now add powdered sugar;
  5. The process of pouring syrup and powder is repeated 5-6 times until the desired effect is achieved.
